Can Arsenal win the Champions League with this form?

Posted on November 08, 2011 by admin

Since Arsene Wenger’s team managed to reach the Champions League final in the 2005-2006 season and went head to head with Barcelona, the Catalan club seemed to have always been the Gunner’s executioner. And while the Spaniards went on to win another two Champions League trophies after that final, Arsenal was always stopped in their tracks, and often by Barcelona itself.

Now after six seasons with no trophy whatsoever people are starting to question Wenger’s abilities, and so the Frenchman needs to reconfirm his status of a great manager in the only way available, by winning a big trophy with Arsenal at very big odds.

I will definitely be betting on Arsenal, as I have been winning a lot of money at the Buzzluck Casino lately and have money to invest. If you fancy trying it yourself then get this Buzzluck Bonus code to get some free money to play with!

After having to go through a knockout qualifying stage, The Gunners are now leaders of group F and they have a big chance to win their group if they’ll keep providing the same kind of performances.

Currently, Arsenal are rated with a price of 25/1 for winning this season’s Champions League. Now…if you ever trusted that Wenger’s a big manager, now it’s surely the time to show it. Such big odds can bring you double satisfaction if Arsenal will indeed manage to win the cup. Sure it’s a very long shot to attempt that with teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich all fighting for the trophy. Not to mention the Premiership giants of Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd.

Another very interesting bet you might like to have a shot at the top scorer award. And giving that our favourite striker Robin Van Persie is in top form and is rated with a whopping 33/1 odds of winning the top scorer award.

Arsenal seems to be bouncing right back into form after the poor season start, and if you ever wanted to make money from your beloved club then now’s your chance.

i don’t know how i feel about this current streak..we are playing better(fact) but RVP is pretty much making us look a lot better than we really are,i don’t know..i’m sure some agree with me here..if he goes down we’re F’d

too early to judge on this..we need to qualify 1st (ucl), then we do better on all big game especially on our rival in domestic cup..i’m quiet worried if our 1st 11 player got injured..can our subs be as good as them? for me, we still need at least 1 more striker to cover rvp if this injury (happend every season)comes..

With the best will in the world I cannot see ANY British team, at the moment, winning the CL while Barcelona are there. That is not to say that cannot change in the years to come, of course.

  4. wisdom says:

Champion league isn’t hard to win compare to domestic league. you may luckily get average opponent in knockout and quarter final to play with before you know it, you reach final and win cup. In God being in our side all things are possible.

I think if we take full advantage of our home fixtures and score some goals, we can hold’em back away and qualify till final, thats a strategy… now have to see

Certainly you just have to fancy arsenal given the kind of form they are in.and most importantly we need to be lucky with the ties we go into.sometimes all it just needs is lady luck to achieve succes.so with a fit and in form RVP and the help of lady luck you just have to fancy arsenal winning the champions league.rate please.

Not with the current form. We might be squeezing out results(with the exception of the West Brom game in which we were good), but are definitely not good enough to CL.

Even though we should be competing for every trophy I would currently say No because my feet are still on the ground and we need to be realistic on what the players we have are capable of.
When Wilshere and Ramsey are running the midfield in a couple of years time and we have a few more world class players like Goetze, Hazard, Vertonghen, Mvilla and Walcott playing as a striker or someone like Pato to give some freedom to RVP, then we will be a force to be reckoned with.

its not out of our reach to win the champions league,we dnt have to play the whole teams competing,we just need to thrash anybody that is unforttunate enough to be drawn against us.

It certainly is out of our reach to win the champions league.
We may have settled more as a squad and began an impressive run but lets not run before we’ve learnt to crawl. How about focussing on putting ourselves in the top 4 (because although we’re close we still aren’t there yet)!

It’s a long season anything can happen. I’d put £10 on us to win the CL.

FINGERS CROSSED we don’t ever have to play Barca before the CL final!

in my opinion if you are in the last 16 or 8 then you can win it. greece won the euros, porto and monaco have both reached the finals in recent years. luck always plays a part as does the draw, do i think we WILL win it? No. Do i think we have a chance? Yes. do i hate spuds? of course i do!

  17. DIABLO says:

No, we won’t win the champions league….the team is excellent but they lack more back bone….they will get better…but it’s time for the players to stay in the team and not go to other clubs because they get offered better contracts…the idea is to follow the example of teams such as AC Milan,Barcelona,Juventus,Bayern,Ajax,Manchester United that tend to keep their players for many years regarding of how good their contract is…i believe than RvP will never leave…a good role model to follow would be Giggs at Manchester and Gerrard at Liverpool…both players that have been in their teams for over a decade and will end their careers in their club.

    Hi,

I think it would be foolish to start thinking about winning trophies just yet. We have had a decent run, yes, but let’s stay grounded. As AW said that year, one game at a time.

Stay strong, vociferous and above all, stay humble fellow Gooners.

HOLY COW YOU GUYS ARE A BUNCH OF S”T!

I was reading this article thinking all the comments would be praising Arsenal and Wenger but what do I find? Everyone trying to act “grown up”. Get real??? GET THE F”K OUT!

“Let’s be realistic”. Realistic?? Okay lets be realistic. Is it weird that I, as a huge Arsenal fan, was rooting for Manchester United earlier to win against Barcelona in the finals? Personally I don’t think so but this group of “grown ups” would probably say otherwise.

I will watch Arsenal for 100 years if they don’t win anything. I could give a rats furry arse about trophies, I just want to watch my team play and create the most exciting football in the sport. The game against Chelsea was unbelievable and it is games like these that have kept me an Arsenal fan for years.

So when asked if I believe Arsenal can win the Champions League I say sure. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN FOOTBALL!!! Chelsea lost to us, Manchester City almost lost to QPR, Newcastle is in top 4 spot, and Manchester United lost 6-1 against City.

Get off you’re damn high horse and stop trying to act grown up and superior. You all sound like garbage and it is people like you who are ruining the game for everyone, especially the little ones.

Pssh I’m not sure even Barca can win the CL this season. Pep has made a huge blunder that I saw coming a mile away -he spent over 60M on 2 players who are attackers when he already has a plethora of them and only 4 actual defenders. Now they are paying the price for that as they have to put Mascherano in defense for the last few games and they’ve dropped points because of it. If a Spanish team is going to win the CL it looks like Madrid – they’ve been a juggernaut so far and even Ozil can’t get a start for them this season. They’re top of La Liga and CRonaldo continues his one man wrecking ball from last season but now they have a fully fit and in form Higuain at their disposal (which they ddin’t have last season).

BrownHoleGang, of ocurse we’re happy, and of course we love all the effort the boys and the manager are putting in, but, precisely because we want to be at the top, we need to stay humble and not rest on our laurels or let any of the recent results get to our head. we need more, and that can only come with get our heads down and supporting our team and being ready for anything.

How can someone ask that kind of question? we’re only startin to luck like a football team and with this form, we wouldn’t even win the europa cup! Don’t get carried away like smal club fans, we as gunners should have learned to be more precautious and realistic! we’re improvin yes but we still far from a title winning team!
