Chamakh expects both Nasri AND Fabregas to leave Arsenal
The Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh believes that both Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri will be leaving the Emirates this summer, and thinks that they would have already have left if Arsene Wenger had managed to locate the right replacement to come in their places.
Speaking to L’Equipe yesterday, Chamakh was asked his opinion about his two illustrious team-mates. He replied: “I think both of them are likely leaving the club. It’s a difficult situation for the manager.”
“I don’t think it’s a matter of money for Fabregas or Samir, I think Wenger is looking for their successors and he hasn’t found them. I think before letting them go he wants to find the players to replace them. That’s my opinion about the situation. The problem is the season starts this weekend, and it’s even more difficult for us.
“I think in the situation the club was in, they could have let only one leave. Especially Cesc – he wants to leave for several seasons because he’s born in Barcelona. But Samir is now in a situation where he has one year left on his contract, so if they don’t sell him this summer he will leave for free at the end of the season.
“Is the club ready to refuse a little bit more than €20m to keep a good player for one season? It’s strange – at a club like Arsenal – that he’s now with one year left on his contract, that the club couldn’t make him sign a new contract before.”
The way I see it, is that if Wenger is prepared to sell them for say £22m and £35m, then he could easily lay out exactly the same prices for their replacements. If he did it would be very easy to get equivalent replacements that actually wanted to play for Asenal, but Wenger would never spend that much money no matter how much he received…..

I agree that Chamakh was worse than Bendtner last season, from December onwards. He blamed it on fatigue so we’ll just have to wait and see whether he can perform better with more rest. As for replacements we’ve seen a few mentioned, Marvin Martin, Mario Gotze and Diego are similar types of players. They’re all outstanding but not necessarily better than Cesc or Nasri. Eden Hazard won’t be available and Arsene won’t compete with United for Sneijder. Marik Hamsik and Javier Pastore are both excellent but Pastore has been valued at 44m which Arsene will never pay. It’s not easy but at this point Arsene has little choice but to buy one of these players because he won’t get the best out of Cesc again and he won’t let Nasri leave for free.

I agree with Milo, Chamakh can go with the other two. Pity he can’t play as good as he talks.
Do you remember all the hype when he arrived. We paid nothing and that’s what we got.
His brain is too slow for the speed of EPL.

Players come and go, what kind of players is that, money? to Mancity defnitely, ungrateful, yes, to the place that raise him and made him one of the best midfielders, Wenger made mistakes in Transfer; However, Fabregas and Nasri are not men, like Wilshere said, Not a real man. Soccer nowadays is all about money but there are still a lot of players loyal to the club that made them famous.

TO ALL THOSE BASHING CHAMAKH, IN HIS FIRST SEASON HE SCORED 10 GOALS WITH WAY LITTLE PLAYING TIME COMPARED TO PREMIER LEAGUE VETERAN WAYNE ROONEY’S 11 GOALS. if u feel MC29 and AW aren’t good enough for you just let us true Gooners support our team coz i am dead fed up of all your negative comments towards THE MIGHTY ARSENAL. comments like ‘i hate Wenger, Chamakh is useless, Bendtner is nonsense, Eboue is fake, arsenal will drop out of the top four should only be posted on the spuds blogs and websites not here. jeez get a life.

Benzema £23-28m (we need him cuz Vela keeps getting loaned out, Bendtner needs to go and Chamakh needs to get his sh!t straight)
Mata £22-25m (replaces Nasri)
Gotze £15-20m (will be great especially being partnered up with Ozil in the German NT)
Sakho £15-20m (should start on the right with Sagna and have Verm help Gibbs on the left)
Hummels £15-20m (better than Mertsacker and Cahill and why not is Squillaci leaves we’ll have 5 CB’s and every1 knows we need all we can get)
TRY to sell or even loan Squillaci
That’s @ most £113m for all 5
Nasri £22-25
Fab £38-40m
Bendtner £7-9m
Amunia £1m
Eboue £4m
Arshavin £10-15m
That’s £82m from sales and since we spent £12m (AOC) of the “£40m” of the original transfer budget we’ll have £28m left that’s £110m of the £113m
I know I’m dreaming but hey it could happen and should happen fast

To Mr. Mosh. I think the fans of any club all over the world should have a say about what goes on in the club. Its only natural to express how one feels. And also wish that all these comment could be on arsenal website, may be then the board will know our fraustration. For chamarck statement, i hope, he will not be bench for expressing himself. And pls people, lets give charmack a chance, i think he got something to offer.

Chamakh used to be good as a front striker poaching for goals in the box etc. These days u find him playin like a winger, attacking midfielder and all sorts. The Arsenal type of play draws strikers back into the field and some of these guys become ineffective. Hope Gervinho will remain attack minded.

Um … Chamakh … Why would Wenger even be looking for successors when we have them already in the team.
Fabregas successor: Wilshere/Ramsey
Nsri successor: Oxlade-Chamberlain/Gervinho/Ryo Miyaichi
… what a frickin bore Chamakh is.

anyone who has seen the pre-season games, matter of fact the whole past season, actually his entire career, can obviously see that Chamackh is simply not good enough for arsenal, as a striker he lacks so many key stats, he has poor pace, bad dribble, awful finishing and ZERO killer instincts, if he is in a one-on-one situation he would rather stop and wait for a midfileder to provide him with a pass (with his back to goal of course). bentner is no doubt better then chamackh and if it wasen’t for his transfer fee (zero) he would never have joined arsenal, proving that sometimes even a free transfer can be a bad piece of business.

@ AKBs
Here’s the common and most famous AKBs excuses in defence of Wenker (in no particular order):
1) Limited budget.
2) Built a stadium.
3) Who can replace Wenker?
You AKBs are like a tape recorder with your excuses. He can’t even sort out the nasri and fab situation to this day!!!!! So once again we are caught LATE with getting their replacements and most likely, we will NOT get any at all and they keep the money from their sales!!! Wenker will say “Miyachi is like a new signing”!!
Get real!!! IN WENKER AND AKBs WE RUST!!!

I agree with whomever said Arsenal is one of the top clubs in the world and fully intend to stay that way.
This premier leaue season will be even more competitive than last year with 6 legitimate contendors for the top 4 spots
The rub of the green will be a big factor and so will team harmony
I for one(who happen o be of French Canadian ancestry — no ugly comments please) would like to see an Englishman rise up in the squad and step up and bleed Arsenal colours
I know it sounds corny, but lets rock on and support our club and players
Is there a new Roy Keane or Parick Viera type player out there for Arsenal? We shall see. All the best of teams have at least one or two of that type of player.

hey gunners fan — just because the so called excuses have been around for awhile doesnt mean its not a reality and it does not make it an excuse!
The Gunners are a club that remains in the top 4 in the worlds toughest league even when they are having a bad few years!
The people you should be going after is the ownership not the manager
Mercy sake the club is still in the Champions league!
Where we can agree is that its time to win a trophy or 2 again.
Its going to be a highly competitive leage this year — lets get back in support mode — at least for the start of the season.
Warm regards

@ savvy1
Wenker is to blame no matter which way you look at it – he chooses which players to buy, chooses the tactics, is supposed to deal with team issues like fab and nasri etc etc.
If he really cared about Arsenal, he would have gone to the board and say “either give me the funds or I’m out”. However, he refuses to admit his philosophy is a fiasco and just wants to show that he can win the league with kids.
Oh, and as for the “limited funds” excuse – spending over £12 million for a 17 year old with no premiership experience is alright with you AKBs? that is absurb.

Any one who supports Nasri and fab4 and claim they are leaving because Arsenal is unabitious is an idiot and should go back to sleep. Players win games not the club or managers.
It is well said that we consided a lot of goals at teh back and drew so many games after Feb. Can i ask any of you how many of those goals scored from Feb to the end of the season were scored by Nasri and fab4. A teams ability to defend well against opposition is as a unit but u see Nasri strolling back when the opposition has the ball. I can’t blame fab much because he didn’t play in most of last season but atleast he is leaving for a genuine reason same cannot be about Nasri. I rather have committed player any day than some bunch of unloyal idiots that some people still come here and justify there reason for wanting out. The same un-ambitious bunch he played with that beat Man Utd with goal from Ramsey when he had no answer and hard to be taken off. Please and please stop this whole sentiments and call a spade a spade. Nasri want away for the wrong reason is not for me to say but clearly not because Arsenal is un-ambitious so many people would die to wear an Arsenal colour. Love Arsenal and hate all ****Arsenal fans wanna be (go support spuds)

@Sawy Have you seen any manager that gives the board an untimatum that wins? name 3.
Clearly it shows Wenger loves Arsenal if not why would he not walk remember there was rumours he was offered a better job before he signed his new contract but he opt for Arsenal instead. As much as i am upset with Wenger for not buying defenders when needed I would still blame the board. If they want a player they can buy the player it’s either Wenger accepts the player or he takes a hike. So stop supporting dis-loyal players. I have seen average players win big tornaments due to dedication given 150% beyond humanly possible and differs all odds.

I’d be sad to see them go but not heart broken. Let them leave, they’ll be replaced. It’s funny how an ongoing transfer saga can make a player seem better than he actually is.
The player I will be devastated to see the back of is Eboue. Not for what he brought to the team in terms of football, but simply because I loved how he came across personally. He always brought a smile to my face. I’ll really miss him if the rumours surrounding his move turn out to be true.
