Chamakh – I choose Arsenal
The Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has been angling for a move to the Emirates ever since Arsene Wenger made an unsuccessful bid for him last summer, and now, as he approaches the end of his contract, he again has admitted his choice is to join Arsenal.
Chamakh told L’Equipe today: “My future? Well, I hold all the cards, I have no reason to be under pressure but everyday passing by, I am a little less a Bordeaux player, my choice is to join Premier League and if I could choose, I will go to Arsenal. Bordeaux has brought me so much. I will soon clearly state things so the club can prepare to find my replacement peacefully.”
He then went on to say how much he has improved since Laurent Blanc took over at Bordeaux. He said: “Laurent Blanc has brought us a winning state of mind, he has taught us how to hate defeat. Both on mental and physical levels, I am at my best. Three years ago, I was still a little crazy. Now I can manage my efforts, which allows me to be more clear-sighted at the end of the match. I have improved, but I can still improve. I am not only happy to play anymore. I have become someone who wants to win. I am more a scorer, but not enough yet. There are too many situations where I still do a pass for a player in a better position.”
But will Wenger still want him in the summer? Even if he arrives on a free transfer?

Free or not he`s still got to pay his wages plus incidentals like insurance so to keep the payroll in check I guess he`ll have to off load a couple who ever comes to the club. Money will always be a criteria but this summer I feel Wenger will open up a bit and go for class not just potential.

Wrong Jack; true Arsenal fans appreciate what AW has done for the club over the years. You only need to look at the financial situation at the other PL clubs. A man like Harry Redknapp has ruined Portsmouth, Liverpool are in the shambles, ManU can go bankrupt any time (because of owners), Chelsea and ManCity are dependent on their sugar daddys.
Since AW came to the club, we’ve build a superb training facility, a top class stadium, an academy which turns out excellent players within our means at the same time we’ve won quite a bit of silverware.
True Arsenal fans who have a little historic knowledge or perhaps been fans longer than 15 years know about barren years. Arsenal and Real Madrid are the only 2 clubs that have qualified from the group play every year the CL has been running.

like i said chamakh will be an arsenal player come this summer no one believed me now he is saying it him self. And now when Bordeaux read this they will be wishing that they had taken arsene’s £6 million offer but no they wanted 9 million minimum, excellent arsene clearly embarrassed them now lool, and we will sign him in the summer for free. Then we are gonna go back to the 4-4-2 formation with 2 front men playing upfront with either van persie, bendtner, eduardo, chamakh or arshavin. imagine this first team of 11.

I have been a fan of Arsenal for many yrs but end up in agony when Arsenal always losses. I have started to think of changing my self to be the fan of either Man Utd or Chelsea.
