Chamakh still wants Arsenal move in January!
The Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh saw his team qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, but still reiterated that he wanted to move to the Premiership next year, and if it would help Bordeaux to get a transfer fee then he would even move in January.
It seems that the reported interest from Juventus has not stopped him wishing to move to England, probably as he scored in a 2-0 win over the Italian team in the Champions League.
Arsene Wenger has made it clear that he is interested in Chamakh, and it is possible that the injuries to Van Persie and Bendtner has made him think again about bringing in another striker for the long season ahead.
Chamakh said: “My future? I don’t know. It is up to me.
“At the club, the door is open. When I make my decision, I will reply yes or no. I am thinking about it at present.
“I just want to achieve a great season with Bordeaux and maybe then sign for a club in the Premier League.
“However it would be fine moving in January for a fee so everyone could take advantage of the transfer.”
The other Premiership teams that showed interest this summer were West Ham and Sunderland, but can anyone see him moving from a club in the knockout stages of the Champions League to West Ham? I don’t think so. The only club in England, other than Arsenal, i could see him moving to would be Liverpool, who are desperate for another striker to play alongside Fernando Torres.
