Chelsea want Eden Hazard – but Hazard wants Arsenal!
There is a very interesting report this evening from the Mail. They say that Eden Hazard, who has long been admired by Arsene Wenger, came to an agreement with Lille last summer that he would would stay one more season if they agreed to let him move to the Premiership next season.
This is supposedly widely known in footballing circles which is why the French legend Zinedine Zidane has been trying to persuade him to move to Real Madrid. But the Mail says that Hazard has his heart set on a move to the Premiership, and Chelsea are the team that has made the first approach to Lille to try and engineer a deal for the Belgian international.
The Mail quotes a source close to the player as saying: “For all the interest in him, Chelsea are the only ones who have made an approach,”
“He has agreed with the president that he will not leave in the January window, but something may well happen at the end of the season.
“Of course, Real Madrid would be an attractive proposition, but Eden really likes Arsenal’s style of play under Arsene Wenger.
“There is even something of Sami Nasri about him. He can play on either flank or through the middle, and he has great pace and technique. Arsenal would suit him perfectly.”
As much as Wenger would love Hazard to come to the Emirates, it is a fact that his age and unbelievable skill will mean his price could be extremely high, which would immediately put Wenger off.
And as there are already too many young midfielders on the Gunners books, there is little chance of there being room in the Arsenal squad unless Wenger had a clearout in the summer to fit him in….

We NEED Hazard, would be a great acqusition but i cant see who to sell, Biggest candidates are Denilson, Roisky, Diaby, and Arshavin.

Im not really worried about the rumours because I know that he will end up at out club this summer so I really wouldn’t worry too much about the news. From when Arsene has spoken how Eden should stay in the french league 2 more seasons and that was in the 08-09 season, Eden will be ours this summer. Under Mourinho Eden won’t go to Madrid because of the type of player he is, still young not experienced therefore I can’t see Mourinho buying him unless the club Madrid really want him. £8million should be perfect to capture him this summer. 1 season should be ok for him to fully get used to the play the league and the country style and by then Rosicky will probably be looking for another club unless he gets another extension (although I really don’t want someone of his experience and quality to leave, his one player who has really played well so far this season).

I disagree with arshavin’s departure, he is at top form, and at 30 he would not be asking for 90 minutes every match, so he would be very suitable starter and sub. Similarly look at chelsea’s roster, current and past season base on your age standards how would you explain their past season?. Even more, look at Inter based on your age standards.

Arshavin should’nt be rplace by any1 right now..he is in a good form.. i started to think..why evry tme Arshavin had a bad game,,evry1 started to hate him,want him out,urge arsenal to sell him.but evrytme he played well, no one want to talk about it..just look at arsenal’s game recently,, i think ARshavin started to show his real capability.he also defence very well,passed the ball a ther rght tme…nwy,Eden is a good player..he is an arsenal’s type of player i think

Well everyone have their choice in who they want to see leave, well at present i dont see anyone leaving, in the summer i think we will be having some new signings , we basically cant risk any new signing which will disrupt our flow at the moment, in taking a while to get use to the flow of the arsenal.
The only possible spot open at present is the central defender, which should be filled, and wenger is playing stubborn and refuse to budge, but he should realise, its not the ability of the players i am questioning, its the likelihood of suspensions and injury that is always looming around arsenal defense, we need at least four season individuals in this position to be able to compete affectively in all competitions

sounds terrible to me. To get both of them in all id do is loan vela out and sell randall. Then id loan them both out to a struggling premiership side in around early november till the end of the season to get them used to premiership tempo. But soon enough, after next season at the latest, we will have to start selling a few players because some of the talent coming threw is amazing. In fact im not 100% sure i want to see many new faces arriving at the club!!

im thinkin…fabregas, rosicky and bendtner to leave end of season..hazard in. keisuke honda in nasri takes fabs position..walcott changes position to a full striker for next season and then the right wing is shared between honda as starter and hazard as sub to gain exp then next yr he replaces arshavin’s position

Hazard surely will have a room if he will be patient. Rosicky and Arshavin are ageing..we can assure Fabregas to stay especially if we dont win any trophies..but with Wilshere,Ramsey,Diaby,Nasri,Lansbury,Rosicky,Denilson,Song all playin in midfield..Hazard can contribute on wing along with Walcott,Arshavin,Vela,Persie,Nasri/Rosicky..w0w wat a squad we have!!

As Arshavin’s approaching the age of 30, then we should sell Arshavin in the end of the season. And it will definitely give a room (even First Team position) in the left wing as it’s reported that Hazard can play in the flank as well as in the middle. Don’t forget Rosicky will become 30 as well. So if we sell Rosicky and Arshavin, then two rooms are ready which is left winger and central midfielder and Hazard will perfectly fill in both positions. Arsenal must buy him ASAP (especially Hazard has interest in our club), otherwise other clubs will do first.

This is the kind of player we need: a player who loves the club like RvP, Song, vermaleen and others and not just the one we spend all our efforts trying to persuade to stay like Fabregas. Well we can dispose od Vela and Bendtner and gun for Hazard and Lukaku if others don’t beat us to them.

Sorry I don’t believe a word of it, we never enter a competitive race for a players signature, Wenger always signs names most have never heard of. (Arshavin aside)

It’s not which club Hazard wants to go to. It’s which club Lille wants to sell to.
Torres (before he joined Liverpool) also mentioned that if he moved to the Premiership, he wanted to play for Arsenal. Eventually, only Liverpool matched the £20mil valuation Atlético Madrid wanted. So let’s not get carried away and get past the club first before talking about the player’s preference.

Who the f&%k is talkn about selling Vela?! Let me bring this to the attention of u all. VELA IS ARSENAL’S BEST ‘FINISHER’. He has great composure in front of goal,way better than Walcott,Bendtner,JET,Chamakh, and evn V.P in the final third. So only loaning him out shud be an option. He’ll come back even better! I agree with Le Boss with his decision of no transfers. The more players u buy and sell, the more unstable ur team, its focus, its understanding and even ur bank account is. I have just been reading through these posts on here… Those who think that Arshavin is on top form must be blind and those who think we should sell Rosicky need shooting… Rosicky is a great player for Arsenal, he is up and down the pitch for 90 minutes and has been playing brilliantly since his return from the long lay-off, Rosicky’s retun was like a new Arsenal signing, he wears Arsenal on his sleeve and is loved by the fans… So I think you are wrong to suggest that!!!
I don’t know anything about this Hazrd guy, and I am sure that there some who have posted on here that don’t know about him either, but IF he is as good as he sounds, then the players we should let go are: Eboue, Diaby, Bendtner and Arshavin… Arshavin, because he isn’t the same player he was when he came to us, he lacks a lot of passing skills at the moment, he has been giving the ball away too many times… The best midfield we could have out is: Nasri, Cesc, Song, Wilshere & Rosicky, I reckon, take Arshavin off the pitch, then we would have many more goals scored this season so far…
