Chu Young Park In Paris Awaiting Visa!
New signing Chu Young Park is stuck in Paris awaiting a visa would you believe, but boss Arsene Wenger is confident all of the necessary paperwork will be completed in time, and if it is Park may feature against Swansea tomorrow.
Speaking to the press today Wenger said, “We have an uncertainty still with the visa of Park. He is in Paris at the moment, but we hope it will be sorted out tonight. He has been away playing against Lebanon and Kuwait. From Kuwait he has flown directly to Paris and should come back tonight.”
Wenger then went on to talk about the new players that had been brought into the club. He said, “I worked very hard after our last game to get the players in because I had to focus on something that was different. I feel it has given the team a lift because everybody knew we were a bit short of quality and number-wise with the number of players we have lost at the beginning of the season.”
He went on to add, “Other players have left us too and we were too short to compete on all fronts. For us basically it is a new start. We start now and want to win a strong way. I expect Arteta to have an immediate impact – and Benayoun. They are players I admire for their technical qualities. They are mobile and technically gifted. That’s the game we want to play, so they should integrate very well.”
All of the five new signings could feature tomorrow, but Andre Santos may miss out due to a lack of match fitness. Wenger finished off his press conference by saying, “They are all good players, and what we want to achieve of course is to make a good team with the players who came in. Their quality is not questionable. We have a good opportunity now to show that in the coming games. The ages were not a priority for me – if Arteta and Benayoun were 24 as well I would have taken them. It is a fact that they have more experience. Our basic policy remains exactly the same – to continue with our style of play, to give a chance to young players who deserve it and to compete at the top level.”
It is good to hear Arsene Wenger being positive, as he has taken plenty of stick already this season. Some of it rightly so in my opinion, but some of it not so. He will be hoping, and praying no doubt, for a morale boosting win tomorrow against a Swansea side, who dare I say it have yet to score a goal in the league this season.

It could only happen to us at Arsenal couldn’t it. Unreal! We sign a player 10 days ago and we still do not have the correct paperwork enabaling him to play. I would quite happily take a 1-0 win right now. Result over performance tomorrow got to be. Don’t get me wrong I would love to be here this time tomorrow saying how well we played in winning 3 or 4 nil, but I am very nervous.

@Juyoh
A 5-0 victory over Swansea is what’s missing. Let’s hope we score a minimum of 3 goals tomorrow.

Yeah. We need like 2 more good players in our team. Perhaps a striker and a midfielder (both of top quality — big names). No-one should underrate Swansea, every team is out to win. However, I hope they will be fit enough for consumption. Lmao !!! Load and shoot, GUNNERS!

Have to worry about tomorrow squeaking to a draw or worse. Lets not forget the psychological blow that man u mess can be, heck look what Birmingham at carling cup did, we are still I’m relegation form and Wenger never fixed the mindset from this.
Also, we have a bunch of new players who have barely practiced together. And a few out on international duty been traveling. Swansea rested and fresh.
Finally Swansea nothing to lose it’s just a big day out for them in London. Remember the Hull at home debacle a while back.
Wenger has to prove himself tomorrow. We need to come out hard and fast and stamp them out early. Here is hoping.

i’m convinced arsene cut off some voodoo priest off traffic THIS SUMMER, the only other explanations as 2 why we still have a whole 8 players out is either the physio’s just sit in the examination room with their fingers up their @sses or it’s part of wenger’s training 2 hit each other with shovels??? Why is the arsenal med room always full, 4 f#ck sake isn’t arsene entitled 2 a bit of luck or at least no bad luck 4 f#ckin once, regardless, c’mon boys battle it out we need a margin of 4 goals+ U CAN DO IT GUNNERS
BLOW’EM AWAY GUNNERS

I heard this morning that Santos had a knee injury. Sooooooooooo, not only have we our own injured players, we bring them in pre-injured, to save us the time of getting them injured ourselves. Cruel, I know but we have had so much hurt at the beginning of this season, we end end using Gallow Humour, to feel better. Can’t wait for Gerviho, Jack and Alex to come back from injury and suspension.
