Could this man be the perfect replacement for Fabregas
There has been no lack of attacking talents being linked to the Emirates, and Arsène Wenger has added Udinese attacker Gabriel Torje to the ever-growing list.
Despite having only signed for the Bianconeri this year, Wenger is interested in bringing him to the Emirates to freshen up the variable midfield flow. The Romanian can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and whilst not being a prolific goalscorer, is capable of some wild efforts from long range and also scored a memorable free-kick on his final appearance for his previous club Dinamo Bucharest. After witnessing Theo Walcott’s dire effort against Sunderland on Sunday, there is no doubt that it would be beneficial to have another aggressive set-piece taker apart from Van Persie.
The 21 year-old could be seen as a long-term replacement for Cesc Fabregas, or currently his relacement Tomes Rosicky, who shares a similar trait with his long range shooting, or could be seen as an alternative to the wavering Arteta. The slight sluggishness of the Spaniard increasingly seen since his arrival has been disappointing. His excellent ability to find passes is undoubtedly still there but the fact that he seems ineffective going forward does suggest that an exciting midfielder needs to be thrown into the fray.
With an excellent goalkeeper, striker and defensive midfielder constantly contributing excellent displays, the Romanian international could be the final piece of the recuperating Arsenal jigsaw.
However, despite being described as ‘the new Messi’, would he offer anything that Rosicky, Arteta and Arshavin can’t?

To say I expected more from Arteta, would be a massive overstatement. He makes the simple passes, keeps the ball moving and avoids mistakes. However, that is not enough – We NEED him to be source of inspiration to his teammates.

i dont know why people expected arteta to replace or be even as good as fabrigas. there only xavi messi and 1 or two that could replace fabrigas.
artea was a last min buy coz we didnt get goetz or m vila.
arteta is more of a wilshare type player
he dose the little things in, simple passes tackles tracks back welll. he will be a good squad player for us in the next frw years
am sure wenger wil still trying and bring someone like goetez hazard or erikson to be more creative.

Rosicky has done a fantastic job this season. I strongly believe he will get a starting role and possible score a goal tomorrow.

walcott is not good enough and never will be, if he was german and not english he wouldn’t be near as highly rated by the press

I’ll tell you what. All we need for midfield is Wilshere back. Now he is a Fabregone replacement. the boys a genius. when he turns 24 he will be captain of club and country and worth £40mill.
soon as he’s back we will notice the difference going up the table towards the end of the season.

yes i agreed, instead of spending the money better save it for superstar Jack! He’s the person to grow big. Even when cesc is in first team jack still manage outshine him sometime. why should we buy someone else and kill jack future with our hand? I will hate to heard jack leave because lack of first team action.
he’s a winner once he taste regular first team, he will seek more

Wilshere is a great player, but we still need to add someone else to the squad.
We don’t need to put so much pressure on a 19 year old, he’s still growing. Part of the reason
Jack is out for so long is because we overplayed him last season. We another midfield who take his place once in a while.

Torje has his DNA screaming ARSENAL right down to the technique and fluidity he displays.. I like the interest but If Wenger snatches him then this will mark the beginning of the an era Arsenal fans have waited for a “trophy-laden era”
