Crappiest Arsenal rumour today – Bendtner to Dortmund and Lukaku replaces him!
Sometimes you just see an Arsenal transfer rumour that is just so unbelievable it makes you wonder if the people who write in the papers actually bother to read their previous reports or whether they think the readers have VERY short memories!
Todays Mirror tells this story: Arsenal are set to hijack Chelsea’s move for giant Belgian Romelu Lukaku.
The Anderlecht striker, who is just 18, is valued at around £17.5m and it was thought his move to Chelsea was virtually a done deal.
Well they are right there it IS virtually a done deal with Chelsea, but Anderlecht will NO WAY accept £17m as they have said many many times. At least it’s better than the original Lukaku to Arsenal story that said £14m !!! Chelsea have even arranged to buy Kevin De Bruyne from Genk and loan him to Anderlecht for a year to sweeten the deal. The chances of Arsenal hijacking the deal is slim but perhaps Wenger COULD make it happen by giving Anderlecht Bendtner?
BUT they the Mirror goes and losse all credibility by saying: His arrival would hasten the departure of the likes of Nicklas Bendtner, who is wanted by Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and SV Hamburg.
Now either the two clubs above are terrible liars or this is absolute rubbish! Dortmund have TWICE issued categorical denials that they either want or need Nicklas Bendtner after previous rumours, and Hamburg have announced that they would love to have the big Dane, but simply can’t afford him.
Unless Wenger has no choice but to let Bendtner go out on loan to Hamburg because he can’t find a buyer, then neither of these moves are possible.
Or is it possible that German clubs lie as much as the Sunday papers???

Have you read the reports of AVB saying he is happy with his front line and doesnt want to sign another striker?? Or the comments from Lukaku himself saying that a deal to chelsea is not done and dusted?? Money bags chelsea would have signed him already if they were going to, why would they hang around?? They dont have to haggle like we do. Im not saying he will come to us, but I dont think its been decided where he will go yet..

It’s quite interesting to read all this “crap” from the tabloids esp english news papers. But come to think of it, Nick’s agent n father has been talking about Bayern,Borrusia Dortmund n Benfica since the final whistle of the last season was blown, but all have taken out time to deny him (hmmn! The best striker in the world??) Anyway, I just know he will find somewhere to play his game next season n not in the Red n White of Arsenal!
Now to the Lukaku story, though I know how it seems impossible to hijack Chelsea’s deal, their slow movement in the transfer window too is something strange n considering the what their new special one said last week in Malaysia, AVB practically put paid to the Lukaku storysaying they have too many similar players in d squad presently! With Anelka refusing to move away but run out the last one year of his contract! AVB praised Lukaku 4 being a huge talent but said they won’t be signing him! My thought; Arsene has always been a deep fan of Lukaku (just like he was of Drogba) should act fast before he miss another player who will turn n be his tormentor in chief! Romelu himself has said previously that it’s not a must that he line up for the blues, so where does this leave Arsene if he wants him? I still prefer him to Benzema, who will cost more, earn more, but deliver as much if not less as the beast Romelu Lukaku!!!

Lukaku is not the problem of arsenal. I believe so much in R.v.p,Gehviho,Chamarc,Walcot. Wenger should loan Bentner and buy a solid defender, sell Cesc and build Wilshere and Ramsey.

Lukaku is chelsea bound n the blues are concluding d deal cum next week wit the signing of javier pastore too as revealed by d chelsea CEO,Gourlay dat they wil conclude two signings in 10days. As of wat their new coach AVB said abt lukaku,he concluded his statement by saying ‘lets wait n see if it turns out a reality’. Believe me,i do watch d belgian league a lot n lukaku wil b premiershp next big thing cos he is a refined version drogba:heftier,taller,stronger,has pace,gud skills n gud one on one finisher wit a gud eye 4 goal. I personally feel Lukaku is too expensive, hence forget him at Arsenal (though i wld love 2 see him in a Arsenal shirt)….with Fab4 and Nasri’s departures, Mata n Hamsik/Martinez would be good replacements…as 4 defence, Samba (gets d job done using whatever means necessary) and Sakho…4get Jagielka n Cahill (all over-hyped)….i feel Stekelenburg might b a good addition too..Arsenal 4 life

Let me just remind everyone what Wenger said 3 weeks ago regarding the transfer market, “everyone is keeping their cards close to their chest. many transfers will happen towards the end of the transfer window”
I believe the reason for that is Wenger does not want to get into a bidding war for the players we need. He would rather wait, see who has gone where and then make a decision about who to bring in. I agree with that, especially when you got ‘stupid’ money like Chelsea and Man City. So, instead of doing that, wait and then play. There are a lot of great players out there, they won’t all be gone in the next week.
