Daniel Sturridge linked with Arsenal loan deal

Arsenal make inquiries about Sturridge by TS

Is it just me or are Arsenal linked with a lot of loan transfers this season? Be that as it may, The Daily Mirror are saying that Arsenal have taken an interest in loaning Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge to the Emirates. However, Chelsea are not willing to let the player go until they bring in a replacement striker. The Mirror also claim that Liverpool and Spurs have asked about the player. Why is it when we are linked to someone are those two moronic clubs following us like a bunch of starving hyenas waiting to feed off our scraps?

With Mr Bendtner on loan to Juventus we still have the likes of Chamakh and Park but if they were to leave today we would be left with just Giroud as a recognised striker. Podolski can play in that position but even so, we would be stretched thin in that department so its no wonder AW is making inquiries about bringing in Sturridge. Arsenal are also the only one of the three clubs interested who could offer Sturridge Champions League football but as we’ve seen before, (Sahin) that’s not the only thing that attracts players to a club.

If its true that AW is bringing Sturridge that means that Chelsea are looking to up their firepower before the transfer window closes because I can’t see Chelsea allowing a loan deal for a striker if they not in the market for buying one. This may be true but there are a lot of negatives surrounding it. For one, How happy would AW be to take one of Chelsea’s players, help develop him and then let him return to Stamford Bridge in 12 months time? Secondly, why loan out Bendtner if we were just going to loan out Sturridge? They two players who are pretty much in the same ball park anyways.

I could understand if we were interested in buying the player, but I don’t know if loaning him is actually a viable option. The thing I hate most about the idea, is that loaning players makes us look bad. Like we struggling to get the funds to actually make a move for a transfer-which just simply isn’t true. I say if Wenger wants Sturridge’s signature then he should put in a transfer bid- if we get rejected, at least we’ll go out in style.

why exactly you love llorente, he is slow as hell, he is a poacher and giroud is our poacher we need someone like remy, a player who can make runs and be more like a conection so stop asking for llorente or arsenal will regret to spend money on him, i would prefer remy, doumbia, abdollaue(sorry for bad spelling), soldado, of course its just my opinion and i think they are not benchwarmer players so lets hope the best from arsenal, and lets face it if arsenal doesnt bring big names o players at all we will see the power that wenger has in making a brainwash for all of us fans!

Sometimes i wonder how the board runs our club.when we want to sell players,we sell them very quickly.alex song left just few days after the speculation began yet when we want to buy players,it always take the whole summer and we most of time lose out.how many times have we been talking about getting Mvilla and others.i wont be surprised if we end up buying nobody today but i know we have no hope for any trophy this season.am not a pessimist.our squad is not good enough even a blind man could see.tottenham lost Modric and bought a replacement immediately yet we find in difficult to get a proper DM to scare off the opposition.we cant get the top four finish this season

adrian from atletico, were looking for back up and he is young and can learn a lot from wenger i mean after all, wenger likes young players idk why but that seems to be the case and he is spanish a big plus for the likes of cazorla and mikel.

no matter what happens at the end of the day, am still a gunner but let all look into this R.v.p seems to be winning, base on rumours we are realy a club without ambition, accourding to reports on twitter we have abt 60m in the bank and all we do is bid for De jong on loan while milan are going to sighn him for just 4mk, next we sold our only hard tackling DM, And now we want Essien on loan while his parent club are not even keeping him on their bench how on earth can we compete with our current board

Sturridge is perhaps in the same ball park as Bendtner but he is a very different player…it looks to me as though he may have a similiar temprement to B52 but he is a finisher and a runner wheras B52 is more similiar to Giroud and Chamakh so Sturridge would present another option although why go for him when Theo could be pushed forward and Gervinho fill that void on the right. In any event he would not be first choice…he would offer good strength in depth but can’t see it happening.

If we loan in a striker after loaning out Chamakh, bendtner & off loading park then we are in a bad state of array, illogical, we need a permanent signing not a loan striker now as that’s just heaping pressure on giroud when the guy prob thought he was coming to play alongside in rvp whilst bedding in nicely.

What’s with all this loan trend anyway, it’s normally for small clubs who have inadequate squads,
    Oh wait a minute…,

Anyone noticed this is the same as last season except the other way round. Last season we sold our best two players and then panic bought during the transfer deadline. This season we bought early then sold our best two players, and then started looking for a washed out cheap loan player. Wenger can no longer lead from the front. He loves the ‘backs gainst the wall’ season. He then wins nothing ans says ‘we did well in the circumstances. He then reminds us he will only buy a special quality of player. Yeahh! Squillaci, Chamakh, etc etc. This once great club is being manipulated by ‘Wenger the Dictator’ Instead of moving forwards we have gone backward. No possible way to finish above, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City. We are being manipulated and let down by the Arsenal board of Despots.

In that case i prefer Roberto Soldado theyre the same age and in less app. he manage to score the same goals as llorente that means that he has a better average than llorente, so if Soldado whould have had made more app. he could score more but unfortunately he didnt had more chances as valencia was knocked out from competitions. get more facts to impress me with llorente.

WENGER: answer us this, why are we in the last day and again scrambling for a crucial signing? We need a permanent great striker in TODAY. You should take a leaf out of Fergie’s book as he completed all his transfers weeks ago. This is not the way a professional manager such as your self should be operating.
Come on do the deal we still have some time, but not much.
Who are the other guys you bringing in? We desperately need to strengthen the squad and with the 3 deadwood strikers looking like going, we have to replace as well as DM and versatile defender. Otherwise, there will be very little chance of challenging for much.

@Alex. I’m actually a big fan of saldado and would prefer him over Remy but think he is pretty much on level par with Llorente but from my research he would cost 20m plus and we all know AW and the board are not paying that for him, on the other hand Llorente has refused to sign a new contract so his price has decreased and we could get him for around 15m. It would be awesome to go for the falcoa’s and cavani’s in this world but we all know it will never happen. Just like everyone blogging on here I’m just praying and hoping that we sign a few top players.

Someone once said that arsenal was not going to buy more players. I was too much in denial to believe it. Now i do believe it. I can imagine wenger in his office, drinking green tea and feeding us brand new transfer rumours every single day to keep us busy till the window closes. Just another day at the office. It is hard to imagine why a big club like arsenal just thinks small and feels justified. Why sell alex song with no ready replacements? Frimpong is not ready, neither is coqulein. Some say we have signed van der wiel and tiote. Well, if we have, why have they not been announced? I don’t know any big club that enjoys torturing its supporters the way arsenal does. I just dont get it. We have no back up for giroud who is so new that he needs adaptation time. Everybody believes bendtner and chamak will be loaned out. Great. So who are the back ups? We always have injuries every season. Who are the back ups for our soon to be injured players? None. And if the club intends to buy a back up, how is it okay to do so at the dying minute when the selling club is unlikely to accept our bid because they have no time for replacements? I dont get it. Doing just enough is no longer enough to win a club trophies. You need reserves. You need a plan b, c and d. You need reliable subs who can step up and do a job when they are needed. Anyway, whatever. If the people who own arsenal are happy with all of this, who am i to complain?

He scored 13 goals from the wing and you’re all denouncing him? F*cking, wow. That is all… Wow. He and Bendtner in the same class? Do you watch football or just read bullsh!t and think that’s enough? Sturridge on a permanent buy I certainly would not be complaining with.

Realistically speaking, I don’t see Wenger bringing in any strikers as he’ll probably play Walcott up front and Ox or Santi on the right wing. That’s what I think he’ll do. It’s the cheap option because we won’t have to buy any players.

I guess Arsene’s plans will prove efficient when the bunch of PL big spenders will be caught by the world football “authorities” for their big spendings and huge wages… A loan spell for Sturridge would be great since it would mean Arsenal wouldn’t have to support a 100k wage for him and could convene for a option potentially allowing a permanent move a the end of the season if he proves a good striker. Who’s stylish then? Splashing out clubs like PSG, Man City, Man U or Chelsea? Remember that 35M move for Caroll and 50M for Torres? If dealt differently by Pool and Chelsea, these prices should have been way lower… The point is, wasting money is not stylish: grooming and spending wisely the Arsenal way seems better to me, while it may not look that sexy.
