Diaby – It’s hard for Arsenal fans without trophies for six years
The Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby thinks that it must be really difficult for Arsenal fans nowadays when they have seen the club go six years without winning a trophy of any kind.
He understands the fans frustration and realises how important it is for them. “Here in England the football is like a religion.” he said. “When you play, you can feel the love and that gives you another energy to push yourself,”
“It is hard for Arsenal fans. They want us to play well first, but to win trophies at the end.
“Even when I walk on the street and see some Arsenal fans, they are really, really disappointed when we lose games and don’t win trophies.
“They are used to winning trophies every year. Now we have not won any trophy for six years, which is really hard for them.”
“Every day you have to prove you are one of the best. You are training with the best players in the world. You always have to push up your level and be better every day.”
Surely they can’t be the best players in the world if they haven’t won a trophy for six years????

quality is not whats lacking in this team. which is a very worrying thing because it means just changing a few players is not really going to solve whatever the problem is!

This from a guy who heads in an own goal from 20 yards with not a man u player remotely close.
From the guy who gets into a dick war with Barton and gets sent off starting the loss of a 4 goal lead.
Yeah – we are a little disapointed.

It is harder with people like you Mr Diaby, blowing important matches and not contributing to the team.

its not hard for true fans, u dont support a team just cause u win, u support them if u love the way they play, i dont mind if we dont win every trophy, its not a big deal, i like how we play and if we lose to a rugby team its fine, arsenal play football not rugby. i like seeing the team grow as a whole not watching individuals carry a team eg rooney, ronaldo, etc.

More idiotic posts. How can you guys blame Diaby for the majority of our losses/draws? He didn’t even play that much this season due to injury. Also on that Newcastle match, we lost because of bad refereeing, not because of Diaby.

1.arsenal need experince GK 30+ almunia and fabenski should be sold and use the cash to sign new GK.
2.need 1 LB… clichy error had cost so many points this season and he can’t cross the ball.
3.need 1 CB…djouru and squillaci they are not good enough, and tv5 was not world class but better then djouru n will take some time to come back to previous level.
4.need 1 winger, as @23 has lost his form n will not come back to previous form.podaski would be good replace as ryo is very young to take job.
5.need 1 striker…who can score 22 goals a season.we all know about bendtner n chamakh is not the answer for us.

Diaby’s a good back-up, but not any more than that.
We should rather get rid of Rosicky and Clichy, and sign a proper holding midfielder, a winger (who can actually cross), and a left back (who understands the offside-trap, unlike Clichy).
Chamakh is a good player and will pick himself up, but we still need another classy striker, one that converts his chances.
