Dortmund – No chance of Wenger buying Goetze to replace Nasri
Arsenal’s plan to sign Borussia Dortmund’s talented midfielder Mario Goetze may be about to end. Wenger is looking to sign a new midfielder since Samir Nasri is dragging his feet regarding a contract extension, and he may need to find a replacement if the Frenchman chooses to leave the Gunners this summer.
Dortmund’s 18-year-old has been impressive this season helping Dortmund to become champions of the Bundesliga. But according to the Daily Mail the German club told Arsenal: “He is a player money can’t buy”.
Managing director Hans Joachim Watzke said: “We would not even think of selling Goetze until 2014. Even if another club owned oil fields or had billions of euros, it wouldn’t make any difference”.
Nasri only has 12 months left on his contract and there is no news about a contract extension being signed, which means that Arsenal would prefer to sell the player rather than risk losing him for free next year. It is rumoured that Inter Milan are interested in the Frenchman as a replacement for Wesley Sneijder.
This has prompted Wenger to look for a replacement just in case Nasri leaves. However Dortmund are loathe to let another midfielder leave as they are already set to lose Nuri Sahnin to Real Madrid.

It looks like Nasri will resign but he may be one for the future. Imagin Him, Hazard, Wilshere, Ramsey would be amazing. Eruopean dominance.

He is a very good player but i think most supporters like myself want Nasri to resign. He’s already use to the PL at his young age and will only get better.

Goetze is a nice player, but 18. They should have pursued Sahin as a potential Cesc replacement, but he apparently signed for Real’s bench. They should sign Hazard and look also at Arda Turan.

Nasri’s quality n there’s no need to sell him or even talk about replacements until he goes, if he goes.

i think who wenger brings in this summer will depend heavily on how bad he wants to keep nasri and fab!
i know many fans say they have heard it all before but this time i really think the fear of loosing our best two players will force his hand to buy and buy big. dont get me wrong wenger doesnt want to have to do it but its the only way we gna have any chance of keeping our best players and i think wenger has finally realised it.
i can see fab being perssuaded to stay if the likes of benzema and others are brought in but not if this doesnt happen.
so like i said wengers transfers this summer will reflect how much he rates nasri and fab and what lengths he will go to, to keep them!

Nasri was linked to Chelsea just a few weeks ago. Chelsea is touted to be looking for a replacement for the ageing Frankie Lampard. So Arsenal should watch out because Chelsea means business.

what’s the point in bringing good players and not play them in their favoured positions. wenger needs to go. he has messed up : nasri,walcott,diaby,gibbs, denilson,vela, chamakh,arshavin to name but a few.

To be honest the allure of playing for arsenal can’t be high right now. You think any stiker what his salt will come to arsenal, where he be asked to play on the right and told not to shoot at goal if he gets the opportunity… seriously
