Drogba, Ballack, Lampard and Ashley Cole all fit to face Arsenal

Posted on November 26, 2009 by admin

Just last week it was assumed that Chelsea’s injury list meant that Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard would not be fit enough to face Arsenal in Sunday’s crunch match at the Emirates, but the news today is that all three of them, plus Michael Ballack, will all now be able to play.

Didier Drogba broke a rib against Man Utd and was expected to be out for another fortnight, but he was fit enough to play against Porto last night.

Michael Ballack was injured while on international duty with Germany but yesterday managed to play over an hour as well, and will be fully fit for Sunday.

Ashley Cole has had a miraculous recovery from his fractured tibia. He was left on the bench last night but having resumed full training is fully expected to start against the Gunners.

Frank Lampard is the latest to recover early after his injury with the England squad was expected to keep him out for another week or two at least, but Carlo Ancelotti now thinks he will be ready this week.

“He has trained for the last two days and will train again on Thursday. We hope he will be fit,” said Ancelotti.

Lampard is the latest in a long line of Premiership players that have benefited from the “miracle cure” of placenta being massaged into the damaged muscles.

He flew to Serbia last week to see the controversial doctor Marijana Kovacevic, and yet again she seems to have been successful.

we really need to play at top gear now it is a must win now

  4. wandega says:

Arsenal has no other chance than this one to humble chelsea regardless of how strong they may be.All big teams have won their games at home.It is the guners time to win against a big team.Otherwise a loss or draw would automatically confirm that this years eventual winners are Chelsea.Among my strikers i would fancy Carlos vela and walcot.Edwardo deserves a bench for having cost us points at Sunderland. He seems to have lost the class he had and there is simply no time for patience.

  5. Newmy says:

Typical dodgey Chelski! All miss In’l games for their contries with so called injuries, but all fit for their clubs a week later??? No suprise, just hope we can play and pass them off the park. Up the Gooners.

  6. andy says:

Arsenal will lose this game, the way chelski are playing they will be too strong for us……we will not win the title this season end of……..

  7. chairmoo says:

  8. messi says:

(Newmy) i totally agree with you mate players like essien, lampard, ashley cole, they all missed their internationals just to play us in this game, thats how you know they take their clubs first before their countries, Either way I couldn’t give a fuck mate 1 way or another we have to beat them if not the titles probably gone just lucky we have 1 game in hand, but this team needs experience we have to make advantage of everything possible a win at sunderland could’ve been 5points behind chelsea still and a win on sunday would’ve meant 2points behind them still with a game in hand! WE NEED TO WIN!
BOYS THIS IS THE GAME THAT MATTERS THE MOST SO FAR THIS SEASON!! WIN WIN WIN!
