Eden Hazard definitely NOT going to Arsenal
Arsenal have been linked with Eden Hazard for years, and it looked like the Belgian youngster was finally going to be leaving Lille this summer, and he admitted that he wanted to move away from Ligue 1 to one of the bigger leagues.
Arsenal fans everywhere were hoping that this coukd be the year that Wenger could finally get the man that has been described as better than Lionel Messi, but it seems that it will be at least another year before he leaves Lille.
The little club in northern France have just won their first Ligue 1 title in over 50 years, and the Lille president Michel Seydoux said today that the 20 year-old will not be moving on “at any price”.
He said: “Eden is not available for transfer. We have met, and the decision is that it he will not be sold for any price.”
“We have won two trophies this season and have a project we are working on.”
“Hazard is included in this plan and is an integral part of it. That is why he will not be leaving.”
So if Nasri or Fabregas leaves, then Wenger will have to look elsewhere for the perfect replacement….

everyone has a price especially when your playing in the french league i honestly think they’d sell should someone pay close to 30mill. its a lot of money for someone who still has a lot of improving to do. i say leave him play for lille for another season but we really must be first in for him when he leaves, i think this player could be a star of the future.

why hazard? because arshavin has been an absolute let down and ive lost nearly all confidence in the player. fair play to wenger if he thinks he can sort his form out but i have my doubts whether he can consistantly deliver the goods which a player of his age and experience should be doing. hazard would bring more pace and skill down the left which i think we need. yes it would be a gamble would a gamble worth taking in my opinion.

Lol better than messi. He’s ceiling would be one of the top players but messi is in outer space. I have watched Diego and cruyff but messi is exceptional. Don’t want to put down the legends but when the legends themselves make it clear I don’t think there is a point to argue. Don’t see them goin on about ronaldo do you?

@ it is obiviously that lille has made it clear,that their are not intrested in selling eden hazard.but i belive he is still a nice player but i dont think that if we miss him that we cant find another qaulity player.let us forget him if he has detamin to stay ,i think sining dauglas caosta or hansik we still be beta.

@FrenchFries you must be kidding. This kid will be as good as Messi. He is showing more promise than any player in the history of Ligue 1 with two Young Player awards and now the Player of the Year Award at 20. If need be sell Nasri, Arshavin or whoever else you care to mention to get this kid because he’s already a better player than Nasri. All that is irrelevant if he’s staying at Lille though. The FIFA financial Fair Play rules come into effect next year so Lille will get substantially less money for him but that’s their decision.

I think this is good if Nasri doesn’t leave, he’s only 20 so he could stay another season with lille and develop, also we need to focus on better defence a good D/m and maybe a deep striker like falcao?

I think we just have to wait until we know if Clichy and Nasri sign extensions or decide to leave because then we will know who we need and can bring in as replacements

why don’t we swap arshavin+diaby+some 3-6 mill?
Every year we wait his price goes up and up and up.
Last summer he was considered too much for 15-18 mill, now we must at least pay 25-30…so not very wise move to wait on that front.. next season he would at 35-40….soooo..

I hope that lille president is bluffing coz if he aint and we end up loosing both Fabregas and Nasri then am sorry but I wouldn’t have a reason to back Wenger next season, I only spared him because I believe he still had the ability to lure the likes of Hazard and Benzema!! Keeping Fab and Nasri and adding those two players was what I was looking upto,,

@kimbo, lmao what planet are you on. Wenger isn’t going anywhere and you can huff and puff all you want. He is an owners’ dream, a manger who spends nothing and keeps Arsenal in Europe every season. He better spend this summer though. As for Hazards’ price going up that’s only possible if the FIFA financial fair play regulations are abolished or clubs form a breakaway league. If not clubs need to consider his transfer fee in their break-even requirements which is a maximum of 45m euro losses over the first 2 years. The teams with high wage bills won’t be able to afford a negative 25m on their balance sheet, unless they pay for him by sales of even more expensive players but who to ?

Thats what happens when wenger identifies talent then ignores it due to lack of funds at the end we end up loosing the player to other clubs when the player develops or becomes more expensive and we are unable to buy him

Shaping up badly. Nasri wants more than Arsenal can afford with the up-coming financial fair-play regulations so he’ll be off. Hazard isn’t available this summer. Benzema is staying at Real Madrid and Falcao wants to stay at Porto. It won’t please anyone if Wenger replaces Nasri with Gervinho, another Ligue 1 unknown, he’ll not do himself any favours. Still, at least Gervinho has scored more than the one every 3 games, couldn’t understand why Wenger bough Chamakh when he had such a terrible scoring record.

Why bother signing hazard. Yes he’s very good, but I don’t see the point in paying 10+ mill (probably much more) for wenger to make him amazing, because we all know in 2 years Man City will buy him after arsenal fail to win trophies. Wenger needs to pull his head out his own arse and spend some money on multiple good signings so we can won some trophies and keep the good players.
Personally o think with, Mata, Hazard, Parker, Cahill, Samba and Darren Bent then arsenal can challenge all competitions, but if these kind of high priced proven players aren’t bough then I’m sure wilshire, V.P, Walcott etc will be next to go. Then we’ve got a leeds an Bradford situation. WENGER SORT IT OUT, SPEND SOME MONEY. PLEASE!!!!
