Fabianski: I WILL win my place back – or miss out on Euros!
The Arsenal reserve keeper Lukasz Fabianski is certain that he would still be first choice at the Emirates if he hadn’t been cruelly injured by (by Wojciech Szczesny!) at the beginning of the year, and he is determined to win his place back.
And it is not just the Arsenal jersey that is at stake, he has also been told that if Szczesny stays Number One at Arsenal, then he will be taken to the Euros in place of Fabianski. There’s nothing like a bit of pressure to increase competition for places!
Fabianski said: “If I had not been injured in January, then I would still be No.1 at Arsenal.
“Ever since I have been fighting for my place and I can win this competition.
“Poland goalkeeping coach Jacek Kazimierski said whoever lost the race to be Arsenal keeper won’t go to the Euros.”
Well I’m sorry Lukasz, but barring a serious injury to Szczesny, you may as well start booking your summer holidays!

I pity fabiansky bcos at a point b4 his injury he was putin on gud performance.so just keep on fightin in trainin,nd wen u get d chance 2 play u perform wel,cos rite now schenzy is lukin lyk our no 1.

feel bad 4 fabianski he must hate szczensy cuz now he won’t play 4 country or his club, good 4 us though, santos is a pretty good “fill in” RB maybe he should be sagna’s backup while jenkinson gets loaned, hence we NEED a first choice LB, gibbs is good but his unreliable, he pulls his hamstring every 2nd game, n doesn’t understand that he is a LB n not a LW but he has enormous potential, signing Lieghton Baines would make arsene, the team & the fans happy
1.cashley ahole would lose his spot on the national team, YAY!
2. Baines would be perfect mentor 4 gibbs hence arsene will be happy
3. the team finally get a defender with english grit
4. this will provoke cahill 2 sign up n then we can throw out squid & djorou

n if their is an injury plague we have bartley, miquel, jenkinson n pedro beltohelo as promising youngsters ready 2 prove a point, then all we need is a defensive coach n it’s all solved 15-25m (baines-10-15m, cahill-5m-10m) plus a kweown/Bould promotion and all we have 2 worry about is midfield.

had he not been injured, we would still be stuck with a shit goalkeeper and a weak defense, and would’ne have discovered the talent that is Sczesny!

Szczezny and wilshere is a good example that arsenal should rely more on their academy. These young players (anneke, lansburry, etc) are superb (does larson ring a bell?). Mix that with some experienced player to calm their nerves, and they will dominate the EPL years to come.

Sczesny had better displays between the sticks without our best defender TV who was in front of Fabianski for the majority of the games he played.

I think it’s a lot better if Fabianski leaves Arsenal, no chance for him when Szczesny’s fit.

Nothing wrong with a bit of competition, I believe this may only increase Sczesny’s performances for Arsenal. Fabianski doesn’t have and never will have what Sczesny has. THE BACKING OF THE FANS & RECOGNITION FROM THE MEDIA. Arsenal should allow him to leave. I could see him at Fulham.
As for Arsenal, it would be prudent to sign an experienced NO.2. Inside the age of 34-36, to help mentor and to ease the work load. This is a very big year for Szcensy with the Euro’s. He is on a very steep learning curve. However he is handling it marvellously. SCZECZSNY NO.1

Could he not be taken to the Euro as a substitute goalie? Or do Poland have another goalie who’s even better?
