Fabianski still wants out of Arsenal – even on loan
The Polish keeper Lukasz Fabianski is still stuck as second choise at Arsenal behind his countryman (and rival for the national jersey) Wojciech Szczesny, and he made it clear before Christmas that he wanted to move somewhere else in search of first team football.
The Poland manager, Franciszek Smuda, has already told him that he won’t be going to the Euros if he is not playing regularly, so he now wants Arsene Wenger to let him go out on loan in the hope of impressing Smuda in the next few months.
Fabianski said: “I want to play, and like we all do, I’ll fight as hard as I can to get as many chances as possible,”
“It’s a big few months for me – come on, the Euros don’t come round in your home country very often in your career if at all, so it’s important that I’m playing and giving myself a chance to be involved.
“I’ve spoken with the Poland manager and assistants – they know my situation so we’ll see what happens.
“Playing regularly would really help me so the next few months are vital.”
Wenger obviously won’t be keen on having Manuel Almunia as back up goalkeeper if Fabianski moves on. Remember last year when all three were injured and Wenger had to bring Jens Lehmann back. He won’t want to be left in that position again this season with so much at stake in the next few months……

wenger let the bloke go on loan,its not as if we cant call him back anytime if the need arise.he deserves to fight for his place in the euro squad.

So who is going to sit on the bench if he goes? cos almunia cannot as he has not been named in the epl squad. this would leave us with the untried shea or martinez!

Szczesny hasn’t been playing too well on the last couple of matches. If we let Fabianski go, how about the competition and pressure on Cesny?

Surely he will play the same role for Poland at Euro as he is at Arsenal; on the bench second choice behind Szczesny. He’s had his chances to stake his claim to be number one at Arsenal but he failed to convince. There’s no doubt he is a good keeper, as poor keepers don’t play for Arsenal or their country but he makes silly mistakes. Silly mistakes a top line keeper shouldn’t make. Having said that, all keepers make stupid mistakes. Reina does it, Real’s keeper, Cech, Valdes. I’m sure Van Der Sar made his fair share of mistakes in his time but Fabianski makes these mistakes far too often to command the number one role at a club like Arsenal. Szczesny does silly things too, but not as frequently and not quite as severe.

that shud balance the squad. szczesny dd nt playing too well for few matches. gve him a rest n back fresh against the milan side. koscielny dserve to rest. n sagna tke the leftback start. coquelin dserve to hold on his place aftr impresive performance. song really need to rest. so we jst need one holding midfield with ramshit aftr being rest as a centre midfield n also helping arteta in the middle. benayoun shud start. he cn cover coquelin too. walcrap supplying upfront. with arshavin supporting park n killer pass. park chuyoung is a good finisher. so this wud balance the team. n rest some for the big milan match n then spudsy match.if nothing going well n we doesnt score. as usual bring our master dutchman around 20-25 minutes left.gve gibbs 20-10 minutes too.
