Fabregas gets all-clear to play after bone scan
The Arsenal and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas was at the centre of an injury scare on Monday when his right leg, which he broke last season, gave him a lot of pain after training with the Spanish squad.
As a result the Spain medical team undertook to give his leg a full scan, and have now released a statement that the Arsenal captain has not got any major damage.
The Spanish Football Federation said last night: “The tests have ruled out any type of bone injury so the player could be available to play against Germany. He has not been ruled out for the game tomorrow.”
The Arsenal captain wore a support strip on his leg for training yesterday, but managed to last the whole session, and speculation is mounting that he may start the game against Germany, replacing Fernando Torres in the line-up.
