Fabregas in limbo as Arsenal are losing patience with Barcelona
The Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is not training with the Arsenal first team while he waits for Barcelona to finally come to an agreement with the Gunners over his move back to the Nou Camp, and Arsene Wenger wants the situation resolved as soon as possible.
When asked if Fabregas would be prepared to stay at Arsenal next season, the Frenchman said: “Frankly I don’t know,”
“Because as I told you I don’t master completely the situation – it depends on Cesc. I think he’s in a moment when he thinks about it and it is a big concern.
“I always say he is torn between two loves – the club where he has been educated as a very young boy and the club where he has been educated from 16 onwards and he has been given a chance. I personally can understand it – but of course we want to be certain about his complete commitment.”
But Peter Hill-Wood was a little more forthright about the talks with Barcelona, and slammed the Spanish giants for dragging their heels. “They have been messing about for a year and a half now and they have got to make up their minds,” he said. “The ball is in their court. They have made one bid of around £26 million and another rather tentative one.
“If they want to buy the player they are going to have to pay the right price – and when you look at what is being paid elsewhere I don’t think what we are asking is at all unreasonable.”
When directly asked whether Arsenal were prepared to call off the negotiations, Hill-Wood added: “We are getting close to that.”
Wenger was also adamant that Barcelona would have to pay a fair price for his captain. He said: “It has to be as well that the three parties agree and that everybody is happy at the end. If there is only two that are happy and one is very unhappy it doesn’t work.
“We have a responsibility towards our club and I have that responsibility to sell the players at a decent price. Or I take money away from my club. And that is not possible just to please one player.”
Surely it has got to be resolved one way or the other, as the new season is approaching very quickly….

It’s simple, no money no movement. If we can survive without Cesc then we can put him on the bench just as well. It won’t come to that because if Barca don’t come with the money he’ll simply play for Arsenal again next season.
No matter what happens though, I think the armband should be given to RVP permanently.

This confirms that Cesc’s “injuries” last season were code for he doesn’t want to play for Arsenal anymore. He must have barca in his dna becuz being an egotistical prick just comes too natural. Seeing him in an Arsenal shirt again will piss me off all to hell! New Captain should be named ASAP!

Get rid of Not so Fab-regas and sulky Nasri. Plenty of good players out there to spend the cash on. Jagielka, Cahill or Samba in central defence.A new left back and Juan Mata with a roving commision behind Gervinho.
Open your purse Arsene. We spent a king’s ransom on Dennis Bergkamp and he turned out to be the greatest gooner of them all. A razor blade’s width in front Tony Adam’s, Thiery Henry and Patrick Vierra. You have to speculate to accumulate. Forget nursing youngster’s to become super star’s. We need experienced professional’s who know how to win. Then we can jam it sideways up lord Fergie, Chelski and Manchester Arabia.

If Fabregas were injured he would have to sit it out and still be paid. So, if Barcelona don`t come to the party Fabregas can be injured until the January window, not even on the bench ,because of a mystery problem like Rosicky
or Vermaelen, these mysteries take ages to clear up, especially at Arsenal. Of course he can`t train it`s too stressful. Meanwhile Arsenal can start their season fully focused while their ex captain and star becomes `deadwood`.
That`s what politics can do. I don`t think he can play for Aresenal again so he might as well go home to mum until those clowns in Spain get their act together. Meanwhile Arsenal could have a case for breach of contract.

Shame that cesc won’t train with his team that he captains. Little shit can rot on his own training. We need to rid the club of people whose hearts arnt in it and who try to hold us ransom. Barcelona board and their supporters are a batch of unreasonable people, they continue to make noise about Fabregas, but Arsenal did not refuse to sell Fabregas, Aresenal is very clear on this issue, they said bring the money and get Fabregas. Barcelona and their noise they think if they go to newspaper and talk a lot of rubish they will get Fabregas for their own price. No. Fabregas should understand that he is contracted to Arsenal and when he signed the contract, he agreed with the terms of contract. For him to be known it was because of Arsenal. He must also know that Arsenal came a long way and they cannot bullied by Barcelona. Bercelona is a big club but and they must stop making noise like little kinds playing football in a training ground. They must pay the money and get Fabregas. If they dont have the money, then they must stop their noise immedately and concetrate on paying their R400 million debt. Making noise in newspaper, radio, and email will not make them get Fabrigas.

Victor, I believe you are an alien from Man U that love our sites and add all sort of negativity. Being the best coach is not all about winning the premier league. People will argue with me as we calculate success by tangible things we see. After I read Arsene biography I have more respect for this man we have being blaming. It was stated loud and clear that he wanted increase wages to keep TH but the board refused and shipped him to Barcelona. Also he was given a mandate without funding to take Arsenal to the champions league. As far as that bargain is concerned he delivered. He is too loyal to tell us the truth. Without spending for six years and still be in this position is a great achievement. It shows he is a master of his game.
I Google and learnt that the team that was punished unnecessarily more last season was Arsenal FC. Where we deserve a free kick or a penalty we were robbed. Everyone wants to kill the manager and forget how we were maltreated by the whistle even in Barcelona. We had the best away record. It is unfortunate we did not win but in Arsenal I believe win or no win. It is the spirit

You are right saying we missed a good player by not signing Arturo Vidal, just like when we’ve let Gameiro or Mexés slip (the latter was available for FREE by the way…)
Cesc is almost impossible to replace, but if he keeps whining we should let him leave. If he is not a 100% dedicated to the team there is no use keeping him around to destruct morale.
I have no high hopes for the season to come hence I say we should get rid of a whole bunch of our current players (Bendtner, Denilson, Squillaci, Almunia, Fabianski or maybe even Rosicky) who are all overpaid relative to what they produce on the pitch.
I mean, everything seems to be revolving around saving money – like “we don’t buy until we don’t sell”, etc. – so I believe we should save on the wages of useless or ineffective players, right? They would never agree cuts in their salary so let’s just let them go cheap if there is interest shown in them.
Let’s just lower our expectations and fill the ranks with youngsters and build them into the first team. We have watched generations of young players come through the youth system and then get stuck at the front door, what the heck… some of them have proved to be decent players elsewhere.
If the policy is “not to buy”, then let’s sacrifice a season to test a number of youngsters and see if it is a right one or not. This sort of a plan could even work out better than those of the recent years.
