Fabregas refuses new Arsenal contract?
The papers this week have all been full of the the news that Arsenal are preparing a massive offer worth over £5m to secure the services of Cesc Fabregas for the future, but, according to the Spanish paper Sport, he has already decided to refuse the £125,000 a week offer in favour of moving back to his home town of Barcelona.
The Spanish international has continually pledged his support to Arsenal in the face of intense pressure from Barcelona, but he has always maintained that he wants to stay and win trophies at Arsenal. This likelihood seems to have slipped away in the last few weeks, and Sport reports that he is now fed up of waiting and believes he has more chance of winning some trophies with Barcelona.
Last weeks statement from Fabregas that he doesn’t like London, and always wishes to return to the balmy heat of Barcelona, is believed to be the beginning of a softening up process to facilitate his long-expected transfer to the European champions.
This could easily just be yet another ploy by Barcelona in their propaganda war for their prodigal son, but could there be this much smoke without fire?

You are honestly way to simple minded. Ok so we might not get the title this year, who said we haven’t progressed? We have a much better chance in the CL now and will pretty much be preparing for next season from this day. We will have secured Chamakh and in a month VP will be back. As he gains form so will the team and we will have every chance at becoming a great team. Then in the summer we must hold onto Fab and Van Persie for one more year. Wenger knows this so he will be forced into buying some top quality players. I am certain that the future is bright for Arsenal F.C.
Wenger is just the problem, he doesnt buy, and fab has always complained of addition experience to the squad, even arshavin, its simple, i dont really understand why wenger will always fix Clichy in the squard,i think he HAS LOST IT,he should rather use vermination in the left position while sol and Gallas in the 5 and 6, Clichy has been making silly mistakes since his return from injury, sec leg against bolton , he caused the 2 early goes, against Man u, he also caused 2 goals also, and for chelsea we also witnessed it, he also cause the 2 goals drogba scored, someone should tell Wenger that. sagna is out of it, i think i prefer eboue always, he drives in and makes the cleans passes but sagna just make foolish pullout to short men in upfront.which is senseless.PLS TALK TO WENGER.

Nimz i totally agree with you, cesc should apply some leverage on wenger, but then again i think wenger will get chamakh in the summer transfer window and he was also stated as saying he made a last minute attept for sorensen, i know hes’s not exactly a world class keeper but would you have called vandersar one, when he was at fulham (plus hes got to be better than alumnia). Providing wenger opens his eye’s to the fact 4-3-3 is the wrong formation for us and brings in 2 or 3 players in the summer transfer window, long rule wenger i say………..
If Wenger buy some good quality player, Cesc might stay with us. We have seen that he is fustrated in the big matches. He just want to win. If Cesc leaves , this is because of wenger not buying player. The news is created by spanish media.
mate what makes you think chamakh is going to be world class for us? provided he settles in, he’s never been a special talent even in the french league. poor scoring record and not even that young. the only qualities he has are ones bendtner already has, he will give us very little new.

Players want to come to Arsneal because of him…not because of the glamour of Islington!!! We do not have a millionaire owner for overnite success, we develop it over a period and 4-5 years is a longtime, but it will come very soon. I am a Cesc fan, but i thingk £45mill is good business, we need to build the team in the defensive area..Goalkeeper, Center back, Right back, Defensive midfileder and a Striker. With so many attacking players, scoring goals when everyone is fit is not a problem…Nasri/Arshavin/Walcott/Arshavin/Rosicky/Van-persie/Bendtner/Eduardo/Vela. We need to look after the defending side more! Dream summer buys…Lloris/Shawcross/V.deWiel/Gonalons/Chamakh. New faces and experience on the team are what he have been demand for. A clinical striker, a strong centre-back and a steady keeper are what they need for current situation.
Clichy is totally out of what he used to be at the left back position. Well, Gibbs may fit in the role on left-back after he is back. But a strong Terry-like or Vidic-like defender is very much important. They certainly need someone influential at the back. Sol Campbell maybe, but he is now 35. In long term, AW needs someone else.
Almunia, another one to be replaced with his underpar performance. I couldn’t understand why Wenger comment that he is very much under pressure as this applies to all EPL goalies. Why do Sorensen and Joe Hart can perform much better than him? Wenger should consider this issue. SERIOUSLY… Naming alternatives? Well, Joe Hart is young and shows great improvement by the time. Akinfeev seems to be good in National Team performance. AW may try. Or else, release Fabianski and Vito Mannone!! I bet they will appreciate their chances more.
Striker role. Chamakh maybe. But some may say he is not in the same level with Drogba and Rooney. Well, but since he is on free agent list, AW might look on it. RVP is very much unlucky on injuries, but his skill is good enough to create goals for Arsenal. Eduardo, Bendtner, and Vela, I don’t know how much they can score for Arsenal but this is definitely not a good season to them. Bendtner especially, shows more work than what you can say. Vela seems not to get enough chances to show what he can do in this season compared to the previous one.

i’m sure Cesc wont decide in nxt few weeks, and now we have all our hard games gone, look at our run in compared with chelsea and man utd how can we be talking of wasted season when only 9 pts back with 13 games still to go, plus piece of piss champs league draw wit porto. it’s a bit early to be drawing line under this season. we were unlucky against villa, crap vs man utd and still haven’t worked out how to play against Drogba but united got stuffed by the other top 4 last year and still won the league lets just see where we are at easter with hopefully walcott, vermalen, clichy and others back to match fit, then we should have better picture
All of you Wenger bashers are just id..iots!! So we are a couple of players short. As he alluded to, he was near to sining one during the transfer window. The fact the Cesc dream is to go and player for Barcelona is not new. Why some people think that Wenger is at fault for this, is beyond me.
The team has been built around him. But we have not won anything since he got into this role. If we ship him out in the summer, we can get a tall talented and powerful midfielder to drive the team. At least we wont loose him between john Terry’s legs.

And some one was comparing Chamakh to Bendtner, sorry, no mater the scoring record, Chamakh is a better ball dribbler\hold-up striker and more composed than the slopy Dane. With players like Fab and Arshavin servicing him, he may well score goals…just imagine Sagna’s retarded crosses if Chamakh was signed? On to the next issue…FULLBACKS IN ARESNAL ARE RUBBISH! Can Sagna even try to score? I mean defenders pull away from him and all he does is toss up the ball to no one, Clichy has caused Arsenal games and titles!
