Gaz: Transfer window boredom! (And I mean BORED!)
Still no signings confirmed, but the Ricky Alvarez rumours were strong last night. I just found myself twiddling my thumbs watching Sky Sports News, so I decided to write another article. Except, its actually a poem……

2005 is SIX YEARS ago,
we’ve all changed quite a bit since then.
I miss the days when we knew how to win,
I long for those days once again.
But its harder than ever to win a trophy now,
competing with United, Chelsea and City.
I think back to last season, and how we had a great chance,
but we blew, and that’s such a pity.
I’m desperate for next season to kick off now,
as our hopes we can all renew.
I know what players I want us to sign,
but its up to Arsene to decide what to do.
I pray for once that he splashes the cash,
on guys that will bring the Emirates to life.
Its sad sometimes in the stadium,
when you can cut the tension with a knife.
So come on Wenger,
its time to get your wallet out.
I’m asking you nicely,
please don’t make me shout.
I want players that will excite me,
and make me jump out of my seat.
There’s this guy called Gervinho,
that I would love you to meet.
But going forward is one thing,
we need to strengthen at the back.
Gary Cahill and Chris Samba,
have the quality we lack.
Our midfield is strong,
but we need Cesc and Samir to stay.
Denilson isn’t good enough,
so please send him on his way.
The rumours i’m hearing are positive,
about who you are trying to buy.
I’m expecting some big announcements,
come the start of July.
Whatever happens i’m hopeful,
as we go for glory in 2011
Lets fight for the title lads,
because to win it would be GOONER HEAVEN.

Seriously, either wenger splash cash and make good signings to make a winning team or arsenal fan should forget about trophy…as a arsenal fan i dont want to be happen that.. ……..wenger must sign alvarez,gervinho,samba,cahil but the most important we need an striker too who can rush through and scores goals!!

We have Alvarez (if rumors are to be believed) and I think we are close on gervinho and we have signed chamberlain
We still need samba/Cahill and a left back Enrique/baines and a poacher
And a holding defensive mid

Do you know something… I am sick and tired of morons knocking ArseneWenger. Arsenal may not have won a trophy since 2005 but let’s remeber what he has done. He turned a team going no where into champions then invincibles. He put the club and kept or on sound financial footing. I hear people saying we need big named signings nor unknowns. What about Vieria wasn’t he unknown? Henry, Adebayor, fabregas and many others were either unknown or relatively unknown when brought to Arsenal. Arsene Wenger has experimented with youth (rightly so) and it hasn’t worked. This transfer window will see a change of policy but for gods sake be patient.

@arsenal1…mate, i agree with you..but shouldnot we sign a talented striker behind rvp,we can just hope that he would be fit fullseason..but if he injured i dont think chamakh can be take his place…we need falcao or some1 like that.

the main reason why we havent won the league for 6 years is WE r geting critisized by everyone.But we r not only the football club that has “Trophy Dough”.Liverpoll havent won the league for 20 years,Chelsea,named as the most incosisitent team didnt win anything between 1977 to 1997.ManC recently won the FA cup after 35-30 years..
ManU didnt win anything from 1913 to 1953..At least Arsenal FC are in top 4 for more than 15 years..WE r Unlucky aS well..and if we happen to win the league this term its gonna be flow of glories and titles..we just need a sTart..Just a gear..Have faith gunners!!!

What is wrong with most fans. Did we hear of any moanings like these from chelsea fans who had to stay 50yrs before they got trophies. Gaz, Can you by any chance hasten the deals for samba or the other epl players we re going for? Or wenger should pay any fee he’s told? If you re bored,pls keep ur boredoom to yourself.

this message is for loveWenger: mate you said you would hate seeing wenger waste money on 30-50 million pounds on flop transfers yet you seem to forget denilson almunia eboue rosicky vela bendtner squillaci sylvestre senderos, all of those players add up to millions on flop players weeks and weeks of wages for what. you need help yeah we have heard all this before but what has wenger done to change the outcome over each season nothing.
we all knew about 3 years ago we needed to strenghten our defence but what did he do nothing
the problem now is in my eyes we are less likely to win anything next season even more if we dont spend on players that will better us next season as
Liverpool have money to spend and a top manager who has a plan and knows what tweeks he has to make to his team
chelsea are the same now with there new manager.
same for man u and city they have little to do to there teams
now back to arsenal we have money but a manager not willing to spend it or trying to get a deal done cheap samba should of been with us by now aswell as gerviniho

Whats with Gervinho? He’ll probably just be like diaby.
Why haven’t diaby,denilson,bendtner,rosicky,alumnia,squillaci, and eboue gone yet.
Why can’t wenger get verthogen, diego, hazard, samba, cahill, stekenlenburg, gago, benzema sakho or mertesacker, either one or three players here would be good.

Can’t wait for the new season to begin
Though anxious about who Wenger will bring in
Wishing for Samba and Cahill at the back
Along with Gervinho, Alvarez and Oxlade in attack
Mr Wenger, in u we put our trust
A trophy next season is a must
For this will put a smile on our face
And keep Cesc and Nas in our place
So as we celebrate our 125th year

It’s just a sign of the times that we’re reading shite poems hoping for a skerric of news that may provide the slightest piece of optimism for next season. Us Gooners are becoming sad, desperate individuals clinging onto the hope that Gazidis and AW may give us something that will raise our spirits. After being a loyal Aussie Gooner since Alan Clarke scored the goal for Leeds in 1972 that made me cry for a week, I fear we are close to our lowest point. Everyone is growing around us while we are stagnating. The only development since last year is we are going to sell our captain for less money than we were offered last year……progress???

The solution here is just to FIRE/SACK Wenger and bring in a new, serious,skillful,tactful and competent coach who is also not an ECONOMISER to help Arsenal be winning trophies! Wenger has nowadays run short/blank of coaching ideas,skills,techniques and tactics and is also an ECONOMISER,he has money but he does not like using it to buy good players who can make Arsenal to be winning trophies!

If you have any of Arsenal’s addresses just write to them or tell them to sack Wenger and look for a new coach who can make Arsenal to be winning trophies,or for you Arsenal fans who stay in London,just mobilize each other,ask for permission from the relevant authorities and after you are granted permission,just start protesting and demonstrating bitterly near/around Arsenal’s headquarters in London saying “Wenger MUST GO!
