“Gladiator” Eduardo set to return for Stoke match
Arsene Wenger has received a boost ahead of Arsenal’s match against Stoke this weekend, with the news that Eduardo believes that he is now back to full fitness.
The Croatian international striker, who was actually born in Brazil, gave an interview to a Brazilian newspaper and confirmed that he is definitely available now after missing the last five games through muscle injuries.
He also talked about his surgery after his horrific broken leg, and revealed that he still had some metal plates in his leg, and he was in no hurry to have them removed.
Eduardo said: “I have a special plate in my foot which makes me feel like a Gladiator! I’m protected and with that I have gained confidence as well… I took great strength from the doctors in England and Brazil who told me ‘you can rest assured you will play again.’”
He also said that he didn’t want to miss more games by having further surgery to remove the plates as “it would take more playing time away, I wanted to train fully in pre-season with the rest of the players and at the moment it does not bother me.”
So at last Wenger will have two strikers in the squad, but it is nearly certain that Nicklas Bendtner will start on his own up front against Stoke, while Eduardo will start from the bench.

Maybe that’s why he’s having trouble finishing chances.
His presence is always a benefit to the side anyway imo
I like Eduardo i know he will make it by scoring two goals as he prepares to future for champions against Porto

Of late, his usual clinical finishing has been missing. However, you don’t become a poor player overnight. Given a decent run of playing time, he will return to the devastating finisher he has always been.
Eduardo could only be back to his lethal best next season.
Lets hope that Eduardo can get his form like he used to be… Go Gooners!!
What’s Eduardo going to do ….. and if you’re thinking what I think you’re thinking …. why didn’t he do it on his other opportunities this season?
Bendtner is the one who’ll do the business for us.
Eduardo and Bentnder up front ,sound good to me.
