Have Arsenal agreed deal with Zambian player ? plus video
There are lots of rumours flying about suggesting that Arsenal will soon announce a new player, the Zambian international Stoppila Sunzu. It’s a great name for a defender, and he is believed to be a star of the future in his country. According to reports from Zambia, the owner of his current club, TP Mazembe, has told the rest of the team that Sunzu has played his last game for them and is off to the Premier league.
The 23-year old began as a striker before moving back as a defensive midfielder. He has also played a lot as a centre back for club and country. Sunzu has 32 international caps for Zambia, and three goals. He scored the penalty that won Zambia the African Cup of Nations against the Ivory Coast at the start of the year.
The young player had been linked with Premier league Reading, but it now seems that Arsenal will be his next club. Could this be another one of Wenger’s `finds`? Sunzu is thought to be arranging visa issues, then attending an awards ceremony where he has been nominated as the best player playing in Africa, before heading to England to finalise the deal. Looking at the video this kid can head a ball and clear it up the pitch, Is that all you can find on him ??? for me that is no reason to say we should sign him !!!! look at all the rubbish we are trying to get out of the club, I am sure they all had so called good moments on video. Going on last weeks results we can even make a good video of some Barnsley players. Does that mean we should go and but 4 or 5 of there players ????

Im sick the Africans let it be common knowledge, wait and see the teams that admit oh yeh we where looking at him and now were going to have a closer look, then when they know that Arsene is eager they will make a bid, the closer look that they where talking about where to see if Arsene is truly an admirer.
Do your own scouting, f**k off and do one, yous know who yous are, che, liv, manc, spu, new, and recently eve, do your own leg work and stop hiring detectives over scouts.

this is good news as stopila sunzu is a solid player who can bring balance to this team as he can play defence and CDM. he has a good record as he has won almost everything from the local league to the african champions league to the african cup of nations. he may not be very known but if you talk of quality this guy is right up there.

Why are people criticizing this. Do you think that clubs like Chelsea and United only sign big names. This kind of thing happens all the time at every club. Youth players are bought in for next to nothing and developed. No doubt you were all annoyed when Gnabry and Eisfeld were signed but it they weren’t the marquee signings of the transfer window and I doubt this player will be either.
A football club would not survive if it only bought first team players all the time, no matter how much money you have.

Sunzu is a class act period, a solid no nonsense defender and considered one of the best center back in Africa. This young lad had Drogba in his pocket all game in the final, had Andre Ayew in his pocket in the semis. He knows his job and does it well. This boy is amazing mark my words.

No problem with signing him as long as we sign another ready made box box midfielder. It will do him good to come in under less pressure.

Guys relax. It is not as if this kid is about to replace vermalen, koscielny or metsesacker. He will be on the bench most times just like jenkinson. I think what wenger is trying to do is to get talent in the squad that is good enough to play but humble enough to warm the bench without complaints. No top defender will come to arsenal to play second fiddle to vermalen. That is why vertongen went to spurs. Besides, i watched that african cup of nation final and zambia was too good for ivory coast. Drogba, kolo toure and co were totally nullified by the zambians. Of course back then, i had no idea who this stoppilla guy was. But believe me when i say that zambia was so good that at times, i thought they were the african version of barcelona. So i see this kid having a big future with us just like jenkinson will. Thats not a bad thing. I also suspect this is wenger’s way of maximizing funds to bring in more than two top players.

I have seen this guy play on youtube, and what i have seen is very good, I see another Viera here, because i dont see him in defence unless we’re in trouble but he will be a better,diciplined Alex Song. Only reason u got these so called African players in the EPL rather than the the British ones is cos they are better, ain’t u one of those barking that Wenger get better players.
Oh another thing, the reason they play the tournament at the time of the year(which should have been thought in elementary geography class by the way) is that there is no winter down there, at least not in most part of Africa. There are only the dry and rainy seasons. In West Africa and most part of Africa, the dry season(which is like summer here) is from around Oct-March; so u can see the tournament actually does takes place in what you would call summer but called the dry season down there.
A bit better to actually know what we comment about, that’s what google is best for today. Just saying

He (SUNZU) is hot property right now in African Football. He is gooooood and strong and deserves a try-out. Arsene you being an economist matk my words you will make big money in 7 years time out of this player……remember LUCAS RADEBE – unknown when he came to the UK and how big a name he made for himself at LEEDS UTD. If sunzu is really coming to Arsenal then what i can say is that Arsenal have made a fantastic signing. This player will be the next big thing in the premiership. I will not be surprised if other European clubs come for him in a year or two. He just needs a platform to prove himself. He has already proven himself in Africa. Most notable displays was his performance against Ghana and Ivorycoast at the Africa cup.Drogba,AndreAyew,sulley muntari Asamoah Gyan,could not find a way pass Stopilla Sunzu!
However there are reports that Reading is also after his signature. Currently difficult to tell who he signs for.

Let me tell about Sunzu. I have watched the man play (full 90 minute games). The man can stop big strikers including the likes of demba Ba, Drogba and Yaya Toure. He can score goals too. Arsenal needs him.
