Have Arsenal found the perfect replacement for Abou Diaby – at just £10 million?
According to TalkSport, the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is seriously considering a move for the Sao Paulo midfielder Carlos Henrique Casemiro and is willing to pay upto £10 million for the young Brazilian hotshot.
The 19-year-old is a typical box-to-box midfielder. His playing style is both versatile and aggressive as he is a tough-tackling midfielder who can also attack. His displays for the Brazilian side have attracted a lot of interest from Europe and the Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan are both said to be keen on taking the teenager to Serie A.
Reports coming out of Brazil seem to suggest that Sao Paulo value him at around £10 million and are ready to cash in on their young midfielder with increased interest coming in from top European clubs.
In my opinion, Casemiro could a great signing for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger knows talent when he sees it and his record for bringing the best out of young players and making them into stars is likely to appeal to the young Brazilian. With Abou Diaby continuing to be plagued by injuries, Arsenal could well do with another box-to-box midfielder.

This guy is amazing, he is already big news in italy, i am suprised only arsenal know of him in the premier league, if signed than though Diaby is good, Diaby may just be playing second fiddle to him, pure class hope Le prof signs him, he would be the new Viera for us.

diaby is better. very skillful, good quality, great dribbling ability, good ball possession, hard tackler…name it long range shot. mind u anybody can get injured even the prospect signing.

Stop and think all of you, would this player be able to get a work permit? As far as I can see he would have to go on loan in Spain for 2 or 3 years like all the other South American youngsters we have invested in. So OK for the long term but not much good for our present needs.

He is a fantastic player. He can even play as striker. Very versatile like our beloved Song.
Casemiro is a great header of the ball. Not very tall but has a good leap and courageous in attacking crosses and corners. He is fluid throughout the park and I think the kid will be a hit at Arsenal.
Inter and Roma want him as well so his price could be more than 10M by the time the bids finish. I say he’ll go for 12-15M. Really like this guy I hope Wenger gets him

He sounds like a good player to have but at this moment in time is the Centre of Midfield the place we need to be strengthening? I mean I like Abou Diaby as much as the next guy (this generations Viera) and I do wish he stayed away from injury but that being said we have Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Song (one of our players of the year thus far) in 3 CM roles playing fantastically well together, not to mention we have Jack Wilshere on his way back and I actually think Yossi Bennayoun is a great squad player as well. Hell even Rosicky can have a good day. So I genuinely don’t feel we need this Brazilian hotshot at the moment.
We do however need a short term striker for the upcoming African Nations (Henry all the way for me) and we definitely need to get a Left Back. I like Andre Santos but he is no defender. He is an absolute menace going forward and its no surprise he has already scored more for Arsenal than Gael Clichy ever did. But hes out for a few months so we need a Defensive Full back in. ANYONE BUT WAYNE BRIDGE!!!

anyone aslong bring the title back to us.but for now focus on part we need the most n replace tge deadwood.get rid of seven n bring three or four quality one wud reduce some spaces.one experienced keeper around 30+ age such as that sevilla keeper to replace almunia and fabianski.mannone as a third backup wud b jst alright.

Diaby has been injured 30 times since coming to Arsenal, and has never played more than 20 games a season for us. Although he is good when he does play, there is no point in him being here, and is a waste of wages. We need a player who is more consistent in not being injured, and also has the same class as in-form Diaby. If AW thinks Casemiro would be a good replacement, get him. I think Muamba would be class. He’s not the best, but has been in the PL a while so there is no ‘settling-in’ time required, and he must want a way out of the Reebok, because Bolton are dreadfully bad.

But what about Arsenal,s currently all loan Brazilian Denilson who is needed urgently as Wilshere,Walcott,Ramsey
Arshavin ,Diaby are all crocked,not up to standard or just
a waste in the team, he is owned by Arsenal and should be
given more playing time ,instead of spending tens of mill
