Hleb tells Fabregas – Stay at Arsenal and win the Premiership!
The ex-Arsenal midfielder Aleksandr Hleb, who famously forced Arsene Wenger to sell him to Barcelona, is advising Cesc Fabregas (and Gael Clichy) not to make the same mistake that he made.
Hleb never really broke into the Barca first team, and was loaned out to his old club Stuttgart last season, but he couldn’t make it there either and now he is desperately looking for another club to play first team football.
Hleb revealed that he still talks with his old mates from the Emirates: “I stay in touch with Cesc a lot and it’s hard for me to judge what he should do.” he said.
“He and Gael Clichy are both very good players who must make their own decisions about their future. But I would advise them to stay.
“It didn’t work out for Arsenal this season but, if Arsene Wenger keeps the side together, they can really go far next year. They play great football.
“It’s partly a question of experience and next season Arsenal will have more of it if everyone stays.
“All things being equal, I think they have a very good chance of the title next season.”
Hindsight is a wonderful thing Aleksandr, perhaps you should have thought more carefully before you left……

I think Hleb wants to come back, I would welcome him to the Emirates.
Helb tells Fabregas not to say “had i known” after things goes sour in Barcelona. Keep your captancy.
Well Hleb nice try. As an Arsenal Fan if Fab wants to leave let him do so. Also i am aware that you Mr Hleb are fighting for a spot on the team and the arrival of fabregas means your outta there. Lol at you trying to tell others what to do when you who were older when you left us didnt have a clue.
You went to barcelona and did squat. Also you never were a player who even resembles our current captain.
GTFO hleb and stay out. we dont forgive. Atleast Fab has stated if he is not sold he will play for arsenal while you wanted out at any cost so FU.
Hey the dude has already confessed enough times that he made a mistake in leaving arsenal and it takes quite alot of courage to admit that so just lay off him.I actually admire him for that.I love Cesc but i am afraid Hleb and Henry’s fate will befall him too and that would be such a pity. Both of Henry and Hleb were worldclass stars but were unable to break into the Barca team and whats worse is that no one has departed from Barca since then and they are still recruiting new talent to add on to that,so Cesc may also find it hard to break into the first team.I would suggest the best time for him to join them is when Xavi is past his best or retired coz for now i cant see him benching Xavi.
Give the guy a break! He fucked up and he knows it. At least he has the guts and grace to accept his mistake. Cesc is not a threat to Hleb because they play in different positions.
Those of you who want Cesc to go haven’t got a clue. He us the heart beat of our team and we are truly fucked if he goes. We simply don’t have enough quality and drive on the team to challenge for the title if Cesc goes. The man played with a broken leg against his boyhood team and people want to question his loyalty. Get real and
grow up. We are competiting in an unfair league where vast sums of money or mounting debt is the only way these teams can win the league.

P.s the spuds are assembling a strong squad and playing in the biggest cup competItion in the world. Maybe all you ungrateful and Cesc, Wenger haters can go and support the scum up the road if you are feeling so hard done by.
Hlebs redeemed himself. With that said, hes not welcome back.
fab should go AW is rebuilding the team with fabre as the pillar of the team.in one or even less again there will be rumours of an imminent departure to barsa.u cannot build a team when the main star may leave at any moment.
so buy gourcuff a talented playmaker with more defensive and heading abilities than fabre and build the team around him.he can be our frank lampard with more technique.
and helb SHUT UP
Hleb would be welcome back to Arsenal. He was a great player and still could contribute a great deal. He made a bad career move, we’ve all done that at times. He did nothing different than any other player who chased the big money. It’s become part of the industry nowadays to tear up contracts whenever it suits.
Go fab n u wl see the real arsenal n u wl regret,if not for eduardo injury arsenal cud av won pl after henry depature.
Well said, Alex but in the grand scheme of things, I’d take money for Fab and use it to strengthen the team. While I am at it I would bring Hleb for a fiver and tell him to recreate his contribution he used to give the team.
Who knows he might just dovetail with Charmark, Ashavin and Van Persie.
“Hleb was a great player” well if he was a great player it was before he joined Arsenal, Barcelona and Stuttgart for a 2nd time. Perhaps the main emphasis is on the word WAS.
No coming back for you and if Cesc wants to join all the other spaniards and not play for us (Almunia included, cos you can hardly say he plays for us) then good riddance Cesc, go join Reyes, Merida and the soon to depart Almunia and see if the grass is greener. You have helped our club to win only one trophy in the 7 years you have been here so do not forget that. My God Stuart Taylor, Cygan and Grimandi won more medals than you, so why are you so high and mighty? What you should be doing is rolling up your sleeves, motivating your team and leading by example by showing loyalty as well as ability.
Its really a sad news to hear that fab is leaving soon. i guess is leaving will pave way for younger to come up. we love u but we are letting u go. have fun sitting on the bench.
I say Hleb was a great player and to see him used as makeweight for Fab would be awesome. Throw in Yaya, Bojan and 30 mil. I think Barca should have to pay a ton. Fab’s best years are definitely ahead of him.
Hleb surrounded by the tight quick passing Arsenal players would make him shine a lot more than he did at Stuttgart. I have very fond memories of that short socked dribble machine.
in case fab goes to baca lets replace him with arteta good spaniad who can play fab role as fab used to do. did you know that there is good young man who hates loosing and he was in his first season for kaizer chiefs and become the pillar of the team lets buy him our team will score goals for fun especialy with our attacking game
i think hleb must come back to replace fabregas
why are some people saying hleb was world class??? his last season with us was a disaster. I think it was 1 PL goal and 2 PL assists. I was well happy when he went. Do some supporters really watch the games or do they just hand round on blogs. Cesc can go dont blame him…. Its his home club he wants to go to and he aint won anything with us. Our problem has been with injurys, so if cesc goes then we can buy 2 vgood mids out of the money so if one gets injured we got another vgood mid to come in. Also think keeper and 2 cb,s needed….. 1 expireienced and one young talent.
i really dont see why everyone wants yaya toure as part of a swap deal? doesnt anyone reakise that if he partnered vermaelen in defence he would be gone during the ACN with song which means we wouldnt even be able to cover for song while hes away. this would leave vermaelen on his own to stop other teams. i find it amazing that no one has had the same idea as me, why not ask for pique as part of a swap deal instead. he is younger and taller which would help us defend against set plays, plus he wont be away for the ACN. id ask for pique and 35 mil or even better, pique, marquez and 15 mil.
thoughts anyone?????
LOL … Hleb was never a great player. He looked good when on the right wing when using over lapping play with Cesc, but he spent more time on the left where he was much less effective. He always looked frightened to take a shot at goal and would pass the ball way too many times when he had a clear chance to score. His crossing was never hot either so no, he was never a great player. Without Cesc in the team, he would look even crapper. Parlour commanded the right wing better than Hleb ever did. Anyway, moving on from that ingrate scumbag who thought the grass was greener elsewhere, the whole Cesc saga is already boring me. I hope beyond anything else at this moment that it goes down to the wire at the end of August.
If there is no time to get a replacement for Cesc – Arsenal will not sell ….. and there’s the added bonus that he’ll play crap in the world cup where Spain is POSSIBLY going to be rivals of ours.
If Theo gets Cesc sent off, who would love it if Theo turned to the England bench and winked.
(God! I can’t wait for the World Cup).
From what I remember at the time, AW was under fire about the way Helb had been brought to the club and that it did n’t meet transfer regulations or something and that Arsenal were forced to sell Helb at the time.
Fab leaving this summer will be a blow for us going for tittles, as he is still one of the best mid fielders around
