Hugo Rodallega and Bryan Ruiz added to Wengers wish-list
Arsene Wenger has promised the fans a big announcement tomorrow morning at his first pre-match conference of the new season, and it is certainly going to include the sale of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona.
There are whispers that he may be giving his decision on Samir Nasri as well, and hopefully a couple of new arrivals will also be reported to appease the Arsenal fans (Mata and Scott Dann anyone?).
But there are two new names to added to the Arsenal transfer rumour list this evening, and the first one is that Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega could be the replacement for Nicklas Bendtner as Arsenal’s third-choice striker.
Rodallega is in the last year of his contract and will have to be sold, and there is always the (small) possibility that Bendtner could be going the other way, but I doubt it.
The second new rumour sounds much more exciting as Sky believes that Wenger is after another Costa Rican international striker called Bryan Ruiz who was linked with Tottenham last week. Whether this is anything to do with Arsenal’s bid for Joel Campbell remains to be seen, but Ruiz has been setting the Dutch League alight with FC Twente.
Ruiz himself told Sky today: “I have three weeks left to transfer and I hope I can change to one of the best leagues, such as the English, otherwise I will stay in Twente.
“There is a team that is showing interest, but it will be my agent that keeps me informed about the negotiations.”
There is no hint there, but Sky seems convinced that it’s Arsenal. Let’s all hope that Wenger will give us some good news tomorrow other than the fact that the traitors Nasri and Fabregas are finally out the door…

bryan ruiz would be great. apparently wenger is also targeting Alan Dzagoev, which would also be a fantastic signing. As far as defenders go, I would be happy with 1. Hummels 2. Vertonghen 3. Cahill. If we don’t end up getting one of these defenders, I will go to india and sell my body for money.

So many links yet no serious business. Look at how Barca have managed to get Fab and City for Nasri. Wenger is not serious in his dealings. If he is not getting the funds to get experienced players, he should tell us. Some of us are sick and tired of this shrewd Frenchman.

I dont consider fabregas as atraitor,he has waited too long for glory and yet there has been any drastic change in transfer policy.He has the right to leave but he could have handed in the request and could have been open about it.
Nasri has been very disappointing. His intentions more purely money and nothing else..Man city are heading for disaster.and nasri is going to axe himself.

juan mata, bryan ruiz, gary cahill, per mertesacker, eden hazard, hugo, and joel campbell. i am confident as high to say, we’re going to be winners. and will beat barca’ man u, chelsea dont have to mention liverpool (but i did) and will win, carling cup, f.a cup, bpl and champions league.

I’m tempted to say good riddance when it comes to Cesc Fabregas, but I’ve always known he would return to Barcelona sooner rather than later and he gave the club six years of admirable service since breaking into the starting IX, sans silverware. I suppose this was due mostly in part to his glass hamstrings as well as Arsenal’s inability to defend. All that being said, he’s still not the best player to wear the number 4 for Arsenal…that honor goes no doubt to Patrick Vieira.
As for Nasri, I hope the door doesn’t hit him in the arse on the way out. Apart from one great half of a season last year, he’ll be as forgettable as Alex Hleb and Mathieu Flamini, other players who thought the grass was greener elsewhere.
As for the possibility of signing Scott Dann, there had better be another signing announced along with him…he surely can’t be the player of “super quality” that Arsene has promised us.

If fabregas decides to leave I wish him the best of luck and he was a fantastic player but he can be replaced for almost half the money he is getting sold for so bring on mata or hazard….
As for nasri , I reckon he will wish he never went to city …. Ryo can replace him IMO and if we changed our formation Ramsey could play there too.
My main concern is our defence and Cahill would be great but he is a little expensive so mertesaker seems more likely . Tbh dann looks like a good player and he has experience in the prem but any of the named defenders would be great .
I don’t think we need more strikers …..

At long last the club can move forward. Neither Cesc or Samir had their heart in the club but now we can employ some new faces, who will want to play for the shirt. Cesc will would never have become an Arsenal Legend, he never wore the shirt with real pride and he certainly was the worse captain that Arsenal has had, in a very long while. Nasri was and still is a class act but like all the others before him he will find that the grass is not greener on the other side, especially with the poseurs that are Manchester City. Let us all look to the future and pray that Arsene has not bought another Squillaci or Chamakh. Take a real chance today and make Jack the club captain, though I am sure it will go to Robin VP

Nasri is overrated. Sell him and Fab and then buy Mata, Vertonghen/Cahill, Parker and swap Bendtner for Rodallega. Parker would be more of a temporary solution so maybe we could loan him, but we already have seen how he can link with Wilshere. And people should drop it about using money for a fabregas replacement… Ramsey is fab’s replacement. And Mata would be Nasri’s replacement.

Arsenal should stop buying rubbish and keep on devolping youth and buy experience. Someone who is a leader like Scott Parker to partner Wilshere in the centre of midfield and buy a very good centre half like gary cahill to replace squllacci because squllacci`s rubbish and wouldn`t get in the Accrington Stanley side.
