Ian Holloway – Jay Thomas is a wonderful talent and i want him back in January!
The Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has had the Arsenal youngster Jay Thomas on loan since the beginning of the season, and has let him return to the Emirates reluctantly!
Thomas played 11 games for Blackpool, scoring twice, and Holloway thinks he has the potential to be a brilliant player.
“He certainly gave me food for thought with what he did last week and that goal he scored,” said Holloway.
“I know what he’s good at and what he’s not quite so good at, and I think Arsenal know exactly that as well.
“When that young man realises what he has got and how best to show it off, I think he will be a terrific footballer.
“He is still learning but a lot of his game last week was very, very good. He is a wonderful talent to watch and I am sure that if he really chooses to use it to his maximum he could have a fantastically exciting career.”
Holloway has hinted that he will be talking to Arsene Wenger as soon as possible to try and get Thomas back at the Seasiders for the last six months of the season, and, as he is practically guaranteed to play first team football, Wenger will be happy to see him develop further at Blackpool.

Great to see Jay E T doing so well. Think he has the hallmarks to be excellent. He was superb for the youth team that won the league and cup last season.Watched him shine with the under18s & I see no reason why he cant turn that foundation into an exciting career.
Go on Wenger, give him more time at Blackpool…
In the meantime, well done Jay Simpson and H Lansbury, you guys are doing great on loan. Just keep the big performances coming. WHo knows, you could be part of the 1st XI one day.
