I’m sorry for Jack, but its time for Wenger to panic-buy Eden Hazard!
Let’s be honest, is anyone really surprised any more that an Arsenal player has a set-back when they are returning from injury? It seems like a forgone conclusion nowadays that as soon as the announcement is made it is immediately proved to be wrong.
Perhaps Arsene Wenger should also be used to it after so many years, and should plan for that eventuality. You know, considering he is such a genius and all that……
Anyway, I guess it was lucky that it was now and not next week because Wenger now has time to do what he does best; Panic-buy! And who better to spend all that lovely Cesc wonga that is sitting in Wenger’s safe than on than the perfect replacement, Eden Hazard?
Wenger knows for sure that Arsenal are definitely in need of a new Cesc-esque type player to set Robin Van Persie up for twice as many goals as he’s getting now.
I know everyone thinks we desperately need cover for Van Persie, but be honest you know that if Cesc was still here the Flying Dutchman would have had many more opportunities to score, and without Wilshere he is simply not going to get the same service.
Wenger has stated today that we are not close to buying anyone, but Arsenal fans know you can’t believe anything Wenger says in the transfer windows, so I am going to cross my arms, legs and fingers and pray that Arsenal are going to get the ultimate panic-buy.

Arsenal will not sign anyone during the January transfer window. This is a trend that has been an easy one to understand, as it happens season after season. Wenger himself says he would rather there was no January transfer window at all. The only reason to sign anyone for Arsene during this transfer is, if we have massive injuries. Well we do, and no one has come in and its the 27th today.
Today we have learned that 4 players have returned from injury, so no transfers will happen at Arsenal until the summer.

Look even if we were to go for hazard, or gourcuff, or gotze, or whoever. Quality players dont leave in the middle of the season, they just dont. Theres that bit of loyalty to the club theyr playing at and out of respect they wont leave, unless s*** is going down. Wenger even said this himself and frankly its true. If you want quality you have to wait until that player falls out with the coach, or wait til summer

A: Hazard wouldn’t be a “panic buy” because we’ve been scouting him (along with every other big team in Europe) for a long time. Wenger likes him. But he’s priced above what Wenger would pay and since we screwed Lile out of Park it makes it even less likely they’d “deal” with us. It would be a “This is his price, pay it or STFU!”
B: It’s Jan and Wenger doesn’t buy in Jan. The Board stuffed us with Arshavin, don’t think it was Wengers choice. Wenger is convinced and willing to hang himself on the “We can compete with anyone with the squad we have” statements he’s made numerous times. But the fact is, we don’t have the squad on anything other than paper if they’re all on the injured list.
We all know the list of players that we’d love to see play for Arsenal, it’s been discussed ad nauseam and won’t happen. Even players that we’d accept if we didn’t get our first choice aren’t gonna happen.
I love Hazard but if he comes then Arshavin has to go and Theo as well. We need a creative midfielder with pace to match our wingers. Arteta has the eye but isn’t fast enough and Ramsey is years away IMO. We would benefit greatly from Gotze, Kaka, Nuri Sahin, etc. But they are all $$$ out of Wengers comfort zone. So it would be a board purchase and how many of you think that’s gonna happen?

Loook guys ….. I have a very realiable source that says Arsenal where in talks with Eden Hazard all week and a fee had been agreed at £25M Pounds+ A player(not sure who) until today.
PSG promised to bid 35M Pounds and give him more wages than Arsenal. Arsenal are not willing to meet this price and have compeletly pulled out of the race to sign Eden Hazard.
So at the momment it looks like no Hazard. Hazard has come out today and said hes suprised by Carlo Anchalotti and PSG are a good club. IF Lille are prepared to sell to a rival its their choice but with Arsenal not willing to increase their inital offer of £25M+ A player all hope seems lost in the Eden Hazard pursuit. Eden Hazard-Deal was very close last night until PSG heard of the deal. Wenger wants to keep the deal close to him as he did not want clubs being aware. But Psg did find out and are prepared to bid £35M. 10 More than Arsenal. Arsenal will not up there offer. Stingy Arsenal yes but they had agreed the deal until the last momment at which PSG came in.

Look if Wenger does land Hazard i will so shocked, believe me but it won’t happen in the next 4 days for sure. @ Nick, I had forgotten about the whole Park incident. Another ‘great move’ from Wenger. For him to steal Park right out from under Lille’s nose must of meant Park was one hell of a player? But Wenger never plays him!! WTF is up with that? Secondly I agree it has ruined future deals between AFC and Lille, especially over the prized Eden Hazard AFC have been scouting for a long time. Eden Hazard due for medical tomorrow morning guys, in fact rumour has it he’s already in London. I really don’t think Lille will sell to PSG, they are their biggest rivals. Wenger knows this and is calling Lile out. It is a very risky hand to play by wenger but it may pay off. If the PSG fee is about to go through then no doubt Wenger will up the fee and wages slightly. Hazard has said he wants to play in the Premiership aswell and for Arsenal. He doesn’t really want to play in France any longer and please don’t forget Wenger has his contacts in France.I’m hoping this deal happens, we need someone of Hazards class in midfield, he will certainly feed Van Persie upfront.

The defencw will sort itself out when and if our full backs come back from injury. In my humble opinion (and it is my opinion only so dont add a dislike, you can disagree if you like as always goonerjake loves and deeply values his fellow supporters opinions and views)our full backs are good enough with Sagna being exceptional. During summer, we wont be able to replace RVP with a top player if we dont play the champion’s league. No 1st class player will come!
So I agree. We should definitely spend some money now. Hazard… Why not? He would replace Wilshere while he’s injured and then he s also able to play a bit higher (to replace Theo or Gervinho). But Lille is asking 40 million for him… and I dont think they would let him go before summer.
But if he does come now, that would be really good. We would keep our ambition… and it might help us to keep our best players mext summer (including RVP)

My opinion on Arsenal atm is as follows:
Arsene Wenger has done a lot for the club, nothing is going to change the way in which he thinks and runs the club.
We all know his mind games about him not giving away any transfer details till the last day, which in most cases is frustrating but he doesnt want to be outbid on players by bigger teams with higher futures.
Our future at the moment is finishing top five, and judging by our budget and teamsheet it looks like this will be the case for the next few years.
My personal opinion is its time for a change in either Wengers ideaology, or a new manager altogether.
Team wise, these are the players i think could do better on loan or to be put on transfer.
Walcott – Had a fulfiling future, started to landslide downhill by having 1/10 good games, if that. He cant pass, cant shoot, and now cant even beat most premiership left backs. Shocking.
Djouru – Needs to go on loan to build up his defensive placement, the talent is there but the experience isnt.
Squilacci – Someone please tell me why Wenger takes off a holding mildfielder to replace them with this guy? SELL!
Arshavin – As we all know, he had one of the most promising futures at arsenal along with Theo, By far he is our worst player, he doesnt want to play at our club and is bringing us down. SELL!
Park – Why did Wenger buy a player he isnt going to play? When next season hes going off for his country’s duty. He needs more game time.
Chamakh – Came in well, had a good 3-4 months but when RVP came back he lost all his confidence. Must go.
Bendtner – We need him back, by far he is not our best player but he scored goals! – Get Chamakh and Park out, bring back Super Nick!
Gervinho – Rushed descision, hasnt settled well at the club, cant pass cant shoot, has a few good touches and thats his days wages payed. Not a gooner.
Ramsey – Needs to go on loan badly, he isnt helping us by playing too cautiously. Must build up confidence before thinking about a first team sheet position, he is bench at best.
Best players in form atm:
RVP obviously on the best form of his career.
Coquelin – Unlucky with the injury, can play anywhere you need him, quality player.
Ox – Needs more game time, lots of room for improvement but has the talent to be better than walcott and gervinho
SCZESNY!! – In my opinion i would rate him as one of the best keepers in the world, he is just severely let down by the likes of djouru and squilacci..
Miguel – Great looking upcoming center back.

A lot of you people make me sick with what you ‘claim’ to know about football, tactics, transfers etc. I’d like to see you do what Arsene Wengers done in the time he’s been there. Look very closely at what he’s done. Are you just blind and never happy? Yes, we would love to see our team win trophies regularly. What supporter wouldn’t? Especially with Arsenals history. I get so disappointed sometimes. But you know, at the end of the day, It’s the team you are supporting and your optimism for them to get somewhere what counts. To those doing the bagging, go support City or Utd if you’re not a loyal supporter. Or be a real supporter.

Needs…creative mid, scoring winger/striker,dominant centerback,marauding fullback…same story at beginning of season.
Wilshere would have been a boon…but alas, the Arsenal medical staff cant keep their injured returnees on the flipping pitch! Arteta is back and should help.Rosicky has never returned to Little MAestro status but he shows signs of occasionally being good( neither can hold Cesc or Jack’s jock.)Benayoun should be given more PT as well as Ox who looked brilliant at times v ManUre. Keep Arshavin off the damn pitch!Maybe Gervinho will learn how to score in Africa and bring it back when he returns.
Samba is available and fills a need. Sagna coming back helps out and Vermarlen can man LB (for now) if Samba signs.I like Coquelin but he is young.
Best finish for Arsenal this year is 5/6…which means they lose $$ and wont buy next year either.That said they need to panic buy and get someone who is a game changer asap.

Remember that Arteta was a panic transfer and he’s playing very well so far covering wilshere and Cesc . So i think if wenger is gonna do a panic transfer it would be for sure Eden Hazard or someone like him…
