It’s Pique’s turn to tap up Fabregas……
It is becoming a daily occurence that one of the Barcelona players or staff have to make a statement to the press extolling the reasons why the Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas should move back to the Nou Camp.
Do you reckon they have a timetable up in the dressing room with each player in the team given a day that they have to keep the pressure on?
Anyway, it’s obviously Gerard Pique’s turn today, and he is a very good friend of Fabregas so he has no problem gushing the usual guff that Cesc is a Barca fan. Well at least no-one mentions the DNA rubbish anymore!
Pique’s contribution reads: “I would like him to come. It’s my wish for that to happen. I can’t be clearer. He is a Barcelona fan and has been his whole life and he would love to come. It would be very, very good for us.
“Last year it looked like he would come but he didn’t. Now it looks like he could again but we have to wait. I hope the people in the offices can work well and can bring him in this time.”
Well Gerard, tell the “people in the offices” to stump up the £50m quid!

As much as I want Cesc to stay, if barca offer £50m, or even £25m with Bojan and Thiago, i would urge AW to take it..with that money we could bring in gervinho, falcao, higuain, and a strong midfielder. All the evidence points towards him going, and if i were AW £25+ is a treasure chest we need to bring some quality back to the gunners..

Keep poaching their players arsene!! teach dem a lesson, if reports are to be believed fab is on holiday with pique and puyol, so he must be sanctioning this! if they are friends why cant he just say “look i know and you know i wanna be at barca, just stop disrespecting my club and fans by going on about it” if they had class, they would say no comment to any questions about cesc. i am starting to lose respect for fab, and he needs to go now otherwise he will risk losing his legend status, which would be a crying shame. He lost it 4 me when hugging the entire barca team b4 the game!! infront of his young team in the biggest game of their lives ( no other captain in the world would have done that!) we all love cesc and it should stay that way, and as we know in love the hardest thing to do is let someone go

we need a left back to replace clichy

i think fab shouldn’t be leaving but should have being sacked immediately after our away encounter wid barcelona cos dat pass he gave to iniesta our opponent was deliberate which led to the goal i say against barca even with the start of the match we were already playing 10 against 11 cos fab was part of their team.

Why dont we all wait and see whhat Cesc has to say.
Of course Baca want him, so would any team with any sense at all.
Until Cesc actually states clearly that he wants to leave us during this close season, I couldnt care less what any Baca player says.
Lets get on with tying up Cahill Samba Chamberlain and Gervinho witn money already in our coffers.
Then if he says he wants to go, take it from there.
Arsene cant stop anyone wanting to leave and he will get the best deal possible if they insist on going.
By the way, why has Clichy escaped all the critiscm that Nasri has? Isnt he just as big a traitor by not signing a new deal?

Wenger should say to Barcelona, £50m is the price for Fabregas. If you do not pay that amount then he will not be sold to you. End of story.

i say get Affelay and maybe Villa(he likes Arsenal) plus 22m
but whatever it is their has to be a good player involved I dont Trust Wenger he will take 50 million and buy some Young 16 year old and a French player who is shit and past his prime years for around something around 15m
and he and the board will share the rest of the 35 mil

barca will never stump up in cash what hes worth which is 50 mill plus, so i can only see this deal go through if it includes players being traded too.
This is a great oppertunity to aquire some world class talent as players that warm barcas bench are still better than everyone elses first eleven. we saw the gap in class when they played united, and also look how good fab is and hes not certain of a first team place.
As for them wanting a barca return after a few years thats fine although i dont see it as the fab dilema is somewhat unique, but tie them down to long contracts when they join and since we swapped them for fab whatever we get when we sell them on is a bonus.
you never no a few fringe players from barca could make us a real force again, after all we were the only team to beat them in europe this season , we mite even be able to really compete with a few additions.
The bottom line is this club is a great club that plays great football and if we could just add some silverware what player wouldnt want to play for arsenal?

Just move him for crying out loud. Cesc looks disinterested on the pitch and with a move like that, you can add a couple of players and some solid coin to pursue your real needs (defense).
If that’s what he really wants, let him worm the bench in Barca. He’ll win trophies but he won’t be the reason why.
Arsène has the oppurtunity to change the face of this team that collapsed like no other at the end of the season. Moves are in order… big moves.

I have grown immune to all the barca BS. Its 11 days into the transfer window and already we have had Pique,Iniesta and Villa. I expect Dr Xavi and Puyol next week and possibily even Messi.
If Cesc must be sold this summer I really hope we dont back down and take a rubbish offer.Cesc is worth at least £50m and we shouldn’t be bullied into taking less by the public tapping up from Farca.In fact we should tell them each time one of their players says the name Cesc in public his fee increases by £5m.

i dont want Alcantara imo our current midfielders Nasri, Wilshere, and Ramsey are better. I dont think Bojan would suit the premier league, he is too small and will get pushed off the ball; besides a deal is apparently almost done with Gervinho who is a similar player.
25m + affellay, 20m + Masch, or even 18-20m + affellay and Abidal, now THAT would be a good deal!!

Perhaps a bigger salary of 160,000 or something like that would really reveal fabregas’ thoughts.
but he has reached the top of arsenal (110,000 a week), so he cannot expect more. So he will follow the example the so called professor set, go to barcelona to lure himself and lure the pockets of the professor and the board’s,as it happened with Henry. And then a pile a bullshit will come from the media to cover the true reasons.

For God’s sake let Cesc go. How many games did he play last season? Even When he was playing most of the time you could see that his heart was not in. As for Barca players who want him back, instead of running to the press why dont they run to their board of directors and convince the board to pay the money Arsenal is asking for. As for Wenger and the Arsenal board of profit seekers, Us supporters should let them know that we will not accept them selling players for $30 000 000.00 and replacing them with young French players who they buy for $3 000 000.00. Wenger sold Toure and adebayor but who did he replace them with In January 2011 Wenger was saying he had enough players to win the league but every body else in this part of the world kept on saying that he didnt have defenders. We all know what happened to the team towards the end of the season.
