Ivan Gazidis – Arsenal WILL NOT buy any star players!
Arsenal have been linked with many top stars like Eden Hazard, Lukas Podolski and Mario Gotze but it looks like all of the Arsenal transfer rumours like that are not worth the paper they are written on.
It seems that there is very little hope of any of those stars arriving, as the Arsenal Chief Ivan Gazidis has yet again declared that the Gunners will not be splashing large amounts of cash on established players, but will stick with the policy of buying promising youngsters to develop into future stars themselves.
He was making the point that Man City, despite spending obscene amounts of cash in the transfer market, are already out of the Champions League, the Carling Cup and the FA Cup.
Gazidis said: “Manchester City would love to be in three competitions.
“Money is not everything in this game. I don’t disagree that it’s important. But we do things based on a value system.
“We’re about creating star players, not about buying them.
“We can’t afford to compete with oil money, and we can’t afford to compete with super-wealthy individuals from Russia.
“But I think the more important thing about our model is that it’s sustainable.”
Ivan Arsenal may not have access to Oil money, but we ALREADY have a “super-wealthy Russian individual” willing to invest in the team, as well as one of the richest American families on board as well. The problem is that Arsenal don’t even reinvest the massive profits they earn back into improving the team, never mind taking money from a “sugar-daddy”……..

Fairy tale from Gazidis. He found such a wondeful business alone in world business in which you can produce no matter shit or brilliants – supporters would pay money to you in any case. All you need to do is to compose some kind of mantra about financial stability or other to explain why you cant produce quality services without investments. And alone way to overcome that cynicism of the board is to show the strength of fans – the board should find emty stadium… And it is time to understand that not to visit a game now is the best way to support arsenal

Eugh to this Porky arsenal is just a profits machine , how are we meant to produce decent players when we have no-one for them to lookup to?
Earlier in the week i dreamed of The special one coming to arsenal and Wenger going to RM. Now though it is very clear that wenger is not the problem but Gazidis’s own inambition towards arsenal and greed are what will see arsenal in a very dire position over the next years. Once RVP leaves and arsenal sign a far from suitable replacement- we’v seen it so many times before !
No longer do i see any light at the end of the tunnel like i did aphew years back when we showed some ambition singing rosicky, arshavin and atleast challenged the top clubs.

Unfortunatley this is what we have all thought but nobody from the board has had the balls to stand up and omit the truth!!! Arsenal will lose more players this year and we will not qualify for the Champions league!! I love the Arsenal and have supported them for the last 30 years. Is it the club has no money or is it they have no ambition to compete? we can not go on buying young inexperienced players and expect to win trophies – we have turned into a feeder club and will never hold on to our top players with this attitude.
We need quality, but seem to be linked with top class players who end up going to Chelsea or Man City!
Wenger take a look in the mirror and see how our amazing team is now becoming smaller and fragile by the day!!!

This only dispels the rumours that mourinho would come to arsenal. Because mourinho, however great he is, has always needed money in order to achieve success and now he goes and says we won’t really spend Any, well that’s great.
How many times do I have to say it isn’t wenger it is the board. Yes, wenger likes to spend money wisely but the fact is he likes to spend money unlike the board.
We will make many more gems into stars and they will realise that they won’t achieve anything at arsenal and move onto winning clubs.
Wow, gazidis we are in thre competitions we can’t win well that’s way better than going out in those competitions and win the prem then come back next year with a better squad, due to spending. While we rot outside the top 4 solely because of the board.
Now if everyone just stops going they will realise that we mean business and they will be pressured into buying the accomplished, quality players we so desperately need.

This guy is a joke! I believe he is the biggest problem. Gazidis, you are not running a consulting company where the only objective is to make as much profit as possible! Yes, it is a business but it’s a football club as well. Didn’t somebody teach you that even in business you have to spend money to make money? With no champions league, we will lose a lot of money. In couple of years, our two big sponsorship deals are up for renewal (Nike, shirt deal) We will get lot less if we’re finishing 5th or 6th. Our overall commercial appeal is declining, that’s costing us revenue as well. Fans are talking about not wanting to renew their season tickets and that is unheard of at Arsenal. All of this is making me sick, yet this ass…. keeps talking about sustainable model blah blah. This is all happening under his watch and any CEO that doesn’t deliver certain targets would get fired anywhere else.

united have spent a fraction of city and chelsea and less also than spuds and scousers but stay at the top by investing in youth, buying the rite players at the rite time, and by looking after there best players!
it can be done on a budget ivan you just havent got the brains or the ambition. all our club needs is a good clear out, promotion of youth, and a wage restucture to realocate funds. then like united every season or maybe everyother dip into the transfer market and strenghten in weak areas with real quality.
ivan is talking boolacks as united have managed to stay with chelski and manc at the top and they cant compete financialy either, there just allot smarter with there money. time to wise up ivan, infact the whole board.

Hurray Gazidi.you need not tell us cos we know already.But you just bought Eisfeld,a player that seldom plays for Dortmond due to incessant injuries for less than half a million. This is stupidity that is hard to comprehend from someone in such a senior position. Arsenal are in 2 competitions, not 3 competitions. The league is not a realistic aim. Our beloved team is unfortunately more likely to come 8th than 1st this season, that’s the reality. So then you compare being 1st in the league (the most important of all competitions) with being one of 16 clubs left in two cup competitions. These cup competitions are very sought after trophies but Arsenal are just one team out of 16 that could win either one and not favourites for either. Manchester City are not jealous of Arsenal because if they were in Arsenals’ position they would probably sack their manager. There is nobody at Manchester City sitting there saying “i know we’re rich and top of the league but I wish we had a self-sustaining financial model” because they don’t need one. Arsenal fans are jealous of what Manchester City have I say as a fan and we know that Usmanov would give it to us so p*** off Gazidis and give the people who actually care about this club what we want.

You are VERY Wrong!! Wenger is every bit as culpable as the useless board-if not more-When we won the league under Wenger he never strengthened the squad,thats if you dont consider Cygan an addition. He always stated on the rare occasions that the squad was strong enough and as usual failed as he never retained the title.
He could have at least 3 more titles to his name if he wasnt so miserly and blind with his defense and naieve tactics.
