Jack Wilshere To Have Surgery On Monday
Just when you thought the injury curse at Arsenal was easing Jack Wilshere has revealed he will be out until Christmas at least.
It was all so different a few days ago, when the signs were actually looking good for a change. On Tuesday Wilshere wrote on his twitter page, “Good day at football today! In the gym again! Ankle feeling a lot better hope to be back playing soon!”
But four days later it is the news every Arsenal fan was dreading. The latest tweet from Wilshere reads, “The bone is not responding. I will have surgery on my right ankle on Monday. Hopefully I will return to action around Christmas time. I am in good hands! Thanks for your support everyone!”
Arsenal have released a statement regarding Wilshere and it reads, “Wilshere has recently been wearing a protective boot aimed at allowing a stress fracture of the ankle time to heal naturally and avoid surgery. However, scans this week have revealed that the fracture has not responded positively during this period. Throughout Jack’s injury, the club has been guided by the continuous advice of several world-renowned specialists. The information attained this week has led to the conclusion that surgery is now required to gain an optimal response. Wilshere is now expected to be out for a period of months. Following surgery these time scales will become more specific.”
For those of you are old enough, like me, a song lyric from the 80′s goes, “Things may be a little hard now, but we’ll find a brighter day. The only way is up.”
The only way is up especially for Wilshere right now. Keep smiling Jack, and keep you spirits high. We miss you!

are arsenal doctors monkeys… misjudging so many injuries is just pathetic… vermaelen, rosicky, wilshere, diaby, afobe… i can’t believe that they can’t tell the difference between 10 days and 10 months… doubt we will see wilshere until march, this is just like vermaelen of last season… 3 days, than 10 days, than 3 weeks, then 2-3 months, than christmass, then may… i hope he comes back as soon as possible, but this is happening exactly the was it did with thomas… Good luck Jack, get well soon ! ! !

Arsenals medical team are a joke probably some cheap imports willing to work for peanuts like most of AW’recruits. Wtf can’t they diagnose injuries properly
AW and this board are turning us into a joke
Usmanov please buy Kroenke out and invest to make us great again
Manure seem to attract the right players and keep them fit and win silverware
We seem to attract shut injuries and losers ax owners but hey we still got a good stadium out of it. I’d rather have stayed at Fortress Highbury and won silverware than moved to “sieve emirates”
