Jack Wilshere unlikely to play again this season after scan reveals another fracture
The Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere was so close to returning to Arsene Wenger’s squad, but a “small set-back” seemed to have only put back his return for a few weeks.
But today it has been revealed that the 19 year-old has gone straight back to Square One after new scans have revealed that he has suffered ANOTHER stress fracture in his foot, in the same area as the first one which required an operation.
Wilshere came from nowhere to make over 50 appearances for Arsenal last season and broke into the senior England side, but he has not made played even once this season, and this news now means that he is unlikely to able to represent his country at the Euro2012 tournament this summer either.
The best he can hope for is that he is brought back gently in the last weeks of the season and may perhaps regain enough fitness to represent Britain at the Olympics.
The poor lad must be devastated by this latest setback…..

Wenger should continue fooling his family members and not arsenal fans. He knew wilshere was out of the season, he then lied to us that the injury was better than expected and then quickly signed a 400,000 guy to cover for injured wilshere. That shows how ambitious you are???? All these arsenal bloggers and writers should stop writing rumours about transfer news cos you all are just lazy and you lack what is needed to uncover wenger’s ploy.

this is bad, feel very sorry for him, but then what do we do with this situation? this is what i feel 1. rest Ramsey 2. play Arshavin behind strikers as that is his best position. 3. lets take arshavin to new realms as we chant , sing and shout his name even when he is not playing at all not to talk of when he is playing bad.(we have tried it the other way to make him play better but it didnt work so lets try this way and i mean consistently. am sure it will bring tears to his eyes and passion back to his game. 4. play rosicky as our num 10. i mean he is our most creative player and has a load of experience.5. this eisfeld i dont know but i feel wenger will use him sometime soon as what we really lack to make our forwards and wingers unplayable is actually a very good creative midfielder.(i always feel left-footed CM area always better).bonjour gunners. love from nigeria.

We should get someone like granero on loan to cover for jack as Ramsey is a class player but he really needs a rest. I don’t understand why RVP only gets special treatment when ramsey is equally in need of rest.

i have a source who is an ex arsenal player and still works for the club, he told me roughly just over a month ago that jack wilshere will be out for the rest of the season, i looked at him like he was mad and now look what happens, more secrets from our beloved club!

The Club can confirm Jack Wilshere has a small stress fracture to his right foot, however it is not accurate to state he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The injury is in a different area to his previous surgery, and it will be reassessed in around two weeks time by our medical team and medical experts who have worked together throughout Jack’s recovery.
This is a recognised complication of a complex rehabilitation process and, of critical importance, Jack’s initial injury is recovering well.
