Klopp – We lost Gotze early, but Van Persie is a class player! (plus Highlights)
The Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp saw his team lose 2-1 to Arsenal thanks to yet another couple of goals from Robin Van Persie, but he was rueing the fact that both Mario Gotze and Sven Bender had to be replaced early on in the game.
But even without his best player on the pitch, he couldn’t stop himself from praising the incredible performance by Arsenal’s Flying Dutchman.
“We had some really good moments in this match, but obviously we made a couple of pretty bad mistakes.” he said. “Our good spells were right at the beginning of both halves and we had some great chances. But we also made it too easy on our opponent at times.
“We had to make some awkward changes [due to injuries to Mario Götze and Sven Bender] and that’s when sporting matters are not so important anymore. Götze’s knee seems to be alright, but Sven Bender broke his jaw and needs surgery here in London. When you have to replace two important players early on in the match, it’s difficult for any team.
“But Robin van Persie, wow, what a performance, what a player. He’s certainly one of the best in Europe”.
I’ve hardly ever seen a player who plays so deep in midfield and then is such a danger in the box.”
High praise indeed from an opposing manager. If Robin stays in this form and fitness all season, Arsenal could go on and win everything!

Is it me or are we all not happy with Gervinho’s last 2 games? The kidz costing us crucial goals guys, on the other hand, Song is the player we should be singing about, though he had a leg on tht last goal Kagawa scored against us, n well, HAIL RVP, the MVP, Arsenal till i R.I.P

What a crazy player Song is honestly.
First he shows an exceptional bit of skill to set up RVP and then he loses the ball outside the box trying to do god knows what and costs us a goal.

I still cant get over how Song created the first goal. That was just amazing, world class, phenomenal, outstanding … I cant find the right words to describe it. For a DM to take on 3 or 4 defenders and beat them before putting in a good ball, that will definately improve his attacking game.
The whole team gave a great performance. A few weeks ago the haters were saying that Arsenal would be fighting relegations this year but we have proved them wrong. We are the first EPL team to qualify for the round of 16. A job well done!
Now we march on to Fullham!

ahhh the irony, the supposed club in crisis from england is the only team 2 qualify 4 the last 16 from england…….if chelsea n united lose next game i’ll just LMFAO all the way 2 teh last 16, i won’t even care about trophies, this is an anchievement in itself after losing 4 first eleven team members(wilshere, clicy, nasri n fabregas) buying scraps in the transfer window 2 replace them & watching Shit*y n Chelski spending fortunes 2 supposedly strengthen their already strong team n now they have failed it is a LMFAO day for me……….. at times like this all u can say is GOONER TIL I DIE

Great performance by all, remember RVP is the cherry on the cake, winning games starts from number 1 and up. The team are bonding together nicely, solid defence, intelligent midfield and of course our main man Persie.
His influence seems to be resonating through the team, 100 times more than Fabregas, it seems to be uniting the team.
Great performance boys! Hopefully we’ve caught Europe’s attention again.

Big respect for BVB. There fans are awsome. Sang all game. Played really well too. They just didn’t have that edge on us. Felt Gervinho should of got that goal. But again. Song was awsome. Bring over gotze.

Man of the match for Song. He was had a great game! What can you say about the prelude to that first goal? Game changer!
RVP – nothing needs to be said, his goals, performance and leadership does all the talking.
Gervinho – turning into a choker. Freakin get the practice in, and shoot the ball when you are the man in front of the goal keeper!
Walcott – great work and work rate last night
TV5 – freakin unsung hero. Solid in the back, and assist to RVP second goal!
Mert – nice and solid last night.
Koscielny – possibly our replacement for Sanga? He was good in RB. Also seemed to be everywhere.
Santos – ok, but not great. (sums him up as a player really)
Arteta – I’m begining to love this guy. not flamboyant, but so solid in midfield.
Ramsey – Ok, not awesome, but solid.
Good to see Diaby back, albeit for 5 mins.
Benayoun – I really like him! When he came on, his work rate was 110%. He went after everyone, and everything. I know he’s 31, but freak, we should keep him. Good to see a player who still wants it. Good for the rest of our players to see also.
Dort were all over us in the first half. They played very well closing us down everywhere. (we need to learn from this style of defence, as its the way to play against us if someone wants to beat us, all they need to do is keep the pressure on us, and we become paralysed. It was obvious that all we needed to do is exactly what Song did, and tread the ball through a few times (instead of trying to continuously come up the wings), and as was evident, once we scored our first goal, the pressure eased, and the game opened up.
All in all – what a great result (bar the goal from Dort at the end – again, we relaxed for the final minutes). Would have been good to walk away with a clean sheet. Personally, I blame Djourou for it. He came on in the last mins, and that when our team looks shakey.

what can I say that has not been said,personally I am so pleased that we are top of the log, and I am so happy with song and Rvp. during the celebration of the second goal I saw a united and joyful spirit among the team and that is just what we need to push ahead. Pls someone shuld teach gervinho how to be deadly in front of goal. However thisweek at the epl things must change we ve been stucked too much in 7th. Liv might hold city,and united might trash newcastle,if we just beat fulham then we climb beyond 7th for the first time this season…..how beautiful and wonderful it will be . Up Gunners!

I’ve always dreamth Dat Van-Persie will be in form bt not as much as Dis. bt 4 Song, i think he is better than Mikel Obi & 1day D best in D EPL. we still need top class players cause injury always happen & D African Cup of Nations is around D corner.

Fully support Klopp 2 b our next manager when Proff retires.This guy has transformed dortmund with mediocre players to a great club able 2 play beautiful football and also create superstars out of them,to sell to bigger clubs @ great value.4 sua folks this is a true replica of Arsene and Dortmund now is my Arsenal in Germany and wow what a following they have their fans made me jealous guess we nid to pull up our socks in that section.

I was one of those calling for Wenger’s head throughout the summer and we were right to criticie him. Why – he took ages to react and buy. He listened to the fans and seem to have changed a bit. In the end it is all about trophies and we have none…so far. So, i’m not going to get emotional..yet.
