Lansbury Signs New Deal At The Emirates
Football is a funny old game. That saying is definitely true today because only yesterday we brought you the news that Henri Lansbury was prepared to leave the club to further his career, and he was actually quoted as saying, “If I have to go then I have to go.”
Well today Arsenal have announced that the 20-year-old, who is currently on a season long loan deal with West Ham, has signed an extension to his current contract, though no details have yet been revealed to how long the new deal is for.
This is the fourth successive year that Lansbury has gone out on loan, having had spells at Scunthorpe United, Watford, Norwich and now West Ham. He has already made an impression at West Ham, scoring on his debut at the weekend against Portsmouth.
His story his similar to that of Tom Cleverley of Manchester United who up until his injury at the weekend had been a regular starter this season. Cleverley had spent the last three years out on loan, though last year he was at a Premiership club where he gained some vital experience, but enough for Ferguson to throw him straight into the first team at Old Trafford.

This is great to here. I think henri can join Ramsey and wilshere in keeping arsenal’s prestige in the future

I find him further proof that Wengers buying young policy is genius. Just look at the youth coming through? i recon we will win titles in about 4 years. when all of them reach 24. wilshere and rambo in the middle. campbell future striker. Gibbs, miquel, lansbury, ryo, wellington silva, oxlade…
This is Wengers plan all along. buy talent. train them together and give them experience at a young age. when they reach 24 their worth a ton and BOOM the invincibles are born again.
