Latest Arsenal Transfer Rumours – Two Brazilians Linked With January Move
There are two more rumours to bring to your attention this evening concerning the Brazilians Alex and Amauri.
Chelsea central defender Alex, 29, was mentioned in the summer about a move to the Emirates, and today he has again been mentioned with a move in January. Alex has failed to impress his current boss Andre Villas-Boas since he arrived from Portugal and now that Chelsea are linked with Diego Godin and Gary Cahill it would appear that the big Brazilian is on borrowed time at Stamford Bridge
Juventus and Spurs have also been mentioned over the past few months with regards a move for Alex, so it will be interesting to see what happens come January time.
Amauri, or full name Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira was born in Brazil, but has gone on to represent Italy at international level. His name may be familiar to some of you because we were linked with him a few years ago when Arsene Wenger tried to sign him before he moved to his current club Juventus.
Well according to reports doing the rounds Wenger is trying to sign the 31 year-old striker on loan in January as cover for Robin van Persie.
What do you make of the latest rumours? Alex will probably go to Juve in my opinion, though at 29 he could still do a great job for us. As for Amauri, I have to ask why would we want him now at 31. Surely that story is just paper talk, but with our club I just don’t know any more.

All these links and rumors all we need is an inexpensive right back to cover for Sagna. Alex would be good Kalou who play in the midfield or forward and mario Gotze at any cost. This will enable to finish in the top 4, win a cup or two and then will can do some more rebuilding at the end of the season.

alex i would consider as a good deal but amauri?cover for vpersie? i mean chamakh? and park can play striker as well as walccot and gervino and arshavin if neccesary. i mean hes 31 overrated . right now we dont even play with a deep striker, i dont know if wenger is gonna switch formation ,442 maybe then its possible but even then i dont want to see amauri

So while Chelsea bids for palyers in their prime i.e. Godin and Cahill, we have to do with the cast offs of Alex and Amauri. Granted I think Alex is decent and surely an improvement over Djourou and Kos but still why can’t we have nice things anymore? Amauri was at one time a great big man striker, but if we were going to go for an over the hill target man we might as well have bid for Drogba, at least he has league experience. Amauri has barely touched the field for Juventus and has fallen so far from grace in the last 3 years. Wenger could revive him (maybe)and his size, skill and strength are assets to consider but his scoring record has been poor for some time now.

5 players in January and we will have a chance at winning a trophy and getting into the top 4. Those players are Vertongen, hazard, goetze, either ozil kaka or mvilla and lastly a striker like drogba tevez or podilski

lets get real here, park is complete garbage. we shouldn’t have signed him. honestly, would you rather have a world class striker (pato, benzema, etc) or park? that’s what i thought. open your eyes arsenal fans. stop dealing with the garbage that we receive. we need WORLD CLASS players not flops like Park, Amauri, or Alex. WE NEED Cahill, M’Vila, Hazard, Hamsik/Dzagoev, and maybe convert Ox to a striker like we did with Henry

that is pure middle table club policies.
Put us as the dumpster of other clubs (top), that is really against the culture of this club. I think wenger should come clean and speak out. Because if it is the board it would good to have the certainty and force Usmanov to takeover but if is wenger then he is nuts and should be shown the door!

rispect fellow jamaican bredda: i also thought the same as i dont trust young jenkinson, but wenger has come out and said kooscielny was trained as a right back and djourou can fill there too. by january these to guys will be needing games aswell because the centre back partnership is mertasacker n vermaelen with song as back up

chelsea need those type of player bosingwa has been excellent at rb this year so ivanovic an terry are 1st choice cb leaving david luiz and alex. With alex on the decline it makes sense to buy a defensive partner to partner luiz
we have vermz and merts who are of similar age and
our next partnership is djourou / koscielny.
all our defenders are still improving
sell squilacci and the third partnership is bartley/miquel do we need another centre back? no

ive also notice that wenger has been looking at stronger players in recent times
cm replacement mentioned;lucho,gurcuff,mvilla,biglia,inler,melo
(these type of centre mid are players with a bit more grit than usualy associated with us.)

Actually AFC dont need a CB if Vermaelon is fit but alex can be a genuine backup than Kosielny … again he is also injury prone lol …. We lack a No. 10 player and hope Walcott n Gervinho start bag some goals with improvements in their finishing …I dont know why Gervihno is not showing his cool head that he showed at Lille… Park(Soth korean hero ) is parked in the arsenal reserves lol

5 players shud cum in jan then v hav a realistic chance to finish in the top 4……. They shud b hazard , marvin martin , m’villa , vertoghen…… & xchange chamakh for sakho from PSG …….. & then sell arshavin , rosicky , diaby, almunia , bendtnar , denilson , djourou ……….. Loan jenkinson & gibbs to pl team……& then get pedro boetlho & vela back from loan…

wtf, don’t you people running this site understand that for starters, the title at the top of this webpage is just arsenal news, not rumours. Secondly, probably everyone who opens the site has a copy of fifa 12 buy now, and anyone with half a brain can see that 9 out of ten stories you publish here are absolute rubbish, I mean at least have the originality to fabricate an interesting story, not just involving the names on the tranfer market in manager mode, or the in game story lines. This site is losing all its credibility.

It does my head in when you see comments saying we need 5/6 signings then stream off unrealistic targets, for example, Kaka, Ozil, Sneijder etc. as far as everyone who isn’t an Arsenal fan is concerned; we are a sinking ship, so how the hell are we meant to attract players like that?
On a separate note, Amauri? Hahahahaha don’t be daft.

Why are arsenal fans complaini abt konscienly?…….u are al just say buy this,buy that……i saw sum1(shane) saying park is not a gud player and should be sold…..well its not your fault,if not the foolish manager(wenger)dat keeps him on the bench……the guy has scored 7 goals in 4 games 4 his country this season…….so wat again do you want from a striker?

Let say, Arsenal is trying to get Cahill signature and with Chelsea around to fight for it. How much would the fans here ready to pay for the transfer fees and salary for this guy which are going to go for free after few more months. I’ll put down 6-7millions as max, if Chelsea come out with 10millions. I’ll forget Cahill and go for Alex for 5millions (if he wanted to stay in premium league). Share the max you would willing to pay for Cahill and if Arsenal match it but lose out to Chelsea, I think the fans will have nothing to complain with.
