Laurent Blanc confirms that Nasri wants a quick exit from Arsenal
The France international team manager seems to talk quite a lot about things that don’t concern him, and if I was one of his charges in the France team I wouldn’t be happy that he revealed the content of private conversations.
But as we are Arsenal fans, then of course we want to know what Samir Nasri has told him, especially when it concerns the (seemingly nonexistent) contract talks between Nasri and Arsenal.
Blanc said: “As far as I know he’s still an Arsenal player at the moment. I know he’s in talks with his club, not about signing a new contract, but to find a new club as he told me he won’t be signing a new contract.”
The thing that makes no sense to me at all, is the fact that Wenger is willing to consider losing £20m by letting Nasri run down his contract, but he wasn’t willing to offer Nasri and extra £50,000 a week (£2.5m a year) to get him to sign a contract extension!
Can anyone explain that one?

there is one reason for this and that is that wenger is relying on the fact that if arsenal win silverware this year he might change his mind about leaving arsenal. I hope wenger is right though about wat he is doing :S

blanc is obviously concerned abt his players MENTAL fitness, but as u said he was wrong 2 talk bt it.still, his message is clear “wenger pls sort it out quickly,so dat he can focus on his national duty”it wud reamain a dream dat wenger spend d equivalent from sales of fab, cesc on another equally gud 2 midfielders or atleast one……..

Wenger likes to play games and adores collecting brownie points, this suits his ego. Don`t think that`s a criticism no,no, it`s just the world he lives in like Mourinio and the rest.
I can`t see him looking a gift horse in the mouth by playing him in the C.L. and holding on to him will cause so much disruption all his hard work and plans will mean nothing. He`ll leave.

The trust that Wenger is just a miser, and even if give Nasri all the money in the world, his heart is not in the club. He has said, he does’nt want to play for the club, so no point giving that money. Go go go nasri, cesc, bentner, eboue, squillaci and see if u will not regret it… This is for u.k, pls stop the riot, dialogue is the best. I dont want the e.p.l postpone.

i know alot of people will be pissed at me saying this but Joel f*&kin Campbell is a motherf$%kin gun, i saw him play in the under 20′s WC vs Australia end result was 2-2 Australia absolutely dominated but then Joel Campbell did some NASRI/MESSI sh%t n grabbed a brace give that guy a year 2 cope with the league n then chamakh n bendtner can go f$%k themselves
nasri can piss of n we should put in a MEGA bid 4 hazard (the gervinho n hazard link up is deadly) N fabregas can leave next season or winter until we get a replacement like Gotze or Marko Marin or ramsey is in “wilshere form” until then we can’t afford to let him go p.s if barca n other teams can treat us like sh%t then y can’t we get cahill like that his contract ends at the same time as nasri’s we can get him 4 10m if wilshere chucks a little xavi talk at bolton p.s we need mertesacker/verthongen (LB,CB,DM) as well
1st team:
Szczensy
sagna cahill vermalean verthongen
song wilshere
gervinho-fabregas-hazard
RVP
2nd team:
fabianski
eboue/jenkinson djorou/mertesacker koscielny gibbs
diaby frimpong
rosisky/arshavin-ramsey- miyachi/vela
Walcott/vela/Campbell/Afobe
with that 2nd team that good we can cope with injuries n won’t collapse like last season unless some1′s injured the season n they can also challenge 4 spots in arsenal’s 1st team e.g mertesacker could take cahill’s spot or gibbs takes verthongen BUT Walcott n Ramsey must b subbed in EVERYGAME they can play 4 (RVP 2 avoid injury n fatigue n for walcott 2 unleash that henry that’s in him n Ramsey 2 get used 2 fab’s position)

He won’t pay him 50k extra cos then the wage structure in place would count for nothing and the rest of the squad would look at nasri and want more themselves. Also, nasri wanted new signings, he made that clear, and wenger hasn’t delivered the type of signings that are required to keep him happy. Maybe if we’d already signed a top CB and a striker of quality he might have signed but I think he views the lack of signings ad lack of ambition.

Nasri cesc and bendtner must all leave this week and take squillaci with them. that should give wenger around 75m to spend plus whatever he left in his transfer kitty. gervinho has already replaced nasri. so for me its a dm a lb a cb and another am. for me the dm should be vertonghen as he could also play cb allowing vermaelen to switch to his international position the cb should be mertesacker the am should be hazard or sneijder. the other first teamer should be benzema. 4 top quality internationals stuff all this dann jagielka cahill talk. mertesacker vertonghen hazard and benzema are whar we need and should be buying. if there is money left i would improve the squad by letting some of our talented youngsters to gain loan experience rather than warm the bench. frimpong lansbury mannone coquelin traore miquel afobe watt sunu vela should all be able to get epl or good championship loans giving us the room to bring in a few journeymen to add some experienced injury cover. newcastle west ham man city and dare i say it spurs all have some players that would love a short term contract or a years loan at arsenal.

Nasiri came to Arsenal when he knew little and has learnt alot. He still needs a club like Asernal to improve more otherwise he is going to drop like the Flamins. If he wants to live then; he should be let to go and be replaced with other players that have Asernal at heart. Please Wenger do not stick to Fabrigas and Nasiri if they want to go. Let them go. Asernal was there before they came and will be there after they have gone and will do better with out them because the team will get players who have asernal at heart. Long live Asernal FC.

Remember Laurant Blanc spent his last two playing years at Old Trafford, so old Red Nose, after being bitter about not acquiring Nasri, has maybe phoned Blanc and asked him to voice something he would Know Wenger wants kept quiet.
What Waleed says is spot on, Wenger is hoping that he can change the mind of players by winning something this season. It will not surprise me if Wenger buys TWO centre-halves AND a top class goalkeeper.
At the beginning of the transfer window he was trying to get the Ajax goalkeeper, so a goalkeeper is obviously considered necessary. Kroenke 2 days ago flew into London to assert his authority and assess risk management of acquiring expensive players before Nasri or Fabregas are sold. The fact we just spent 15 million on a kid shows some intent to spend cash.

I know we could have strengthened more but it isn’t Wenger’s fault we picked up players like Flamini, Adebayour, now Nasri who try to engineer moves away.
I say sell him and Fabregas and start building a team for the next season and use this season to sort it out.

Its not wenger its nasri who wants the 160k or 185k that city are willing to offer.
Arsenal cannot pay those wages.
think of it..Lionel Messi earns 35 million euros a year.
His salary is 10 million euros which is roughly 200k a week.
His bonus, commercial deals give him the extra to make the 35 mill.
So why should Nasri…who has proven nothing, get 8 million euros or 7.7 mill pounds?
Doesnt make sense..hes half the talent of messi so take the 90k and shut up.

sell nasri i watched him last year and thought he could carry are team to are first title in 6 years but guess what he didn’t perform in the biggest matches in my eyes.
who will replace who this season
Nasri= ryo now he has his work permit
fab= ramsey who beat man united last year after no pre season and a loan spell in the championship.
djoriou= v.man will take his place in the heart of the defence
clichy= troae will be a massive part this year as gibbs gets injuried to often big future for this young man
starting 11
scez
sagna v.man kos troae
ryo jack arron song gervinho
RVP
this is a young team but a hungry got a british element to it as well if i was wenger i would think that the defense needs some money put into it so i would buy per the german to help with the long balls from the bully boys and i think we could have a great year. is it strong enough to win the epl probs not but a years experience into most of these players will only make this team stronger!

We just want to hold c*ty for as much cash as possible and keep the greedy rat from playing in c*tys first few games.
Good riddence. He should be honored to play for a great club like the Arsenal. When he’s telling his grandkids about his football career in 40 years time c*ty will be in league 2 again and all the kids will be interested in will be his time at Arsenal who will still be going strong.

change takes time no matter how much fuss we kick up, its a massive season for many reasons. We need this season to have a long look at ramsey, lansbury, ryo, miquel, players like kosh and cham and shezeney also need to be put to the test. Agreed we still need a cb to replace the squid but other than that wenger is rite to clear out the deadwood and rebels and then use this season to have a long hard look at the players we have but not tested like frimpong! only when wenger has done this will we trully know the state of our squad and where the money needs to be spent.
Like i said gooners please have patient, no manager even mourinho could sort out this mess overnight. But please wenger get cahill or samba as its one sighning we clearly need asap! then use this season to see where we go next!

ps troare has looked very good this pre season and was our best defender aginst benfica, this lad played allot of football for a top european side last season (juventus) and it shows! This just further reiterates the point that untill these players have had game time we dont know the state of our squad or the players we need to bring in, not even wenger!

If he caves in to Nasri’s demands and gives him another 50k a week for acting like an ungrateful brat, what’s to stop other players or other player’s agents from taking the same path?

If it’s clear Nasri isn’t going sign a new deal, then he has to go now. Any other decision is financial madness. You cannot constantly reject buying the players we need because of financial prudence and then throw £22 million away. Put it toward someone who wants to play for Arsenal and will have a decent resell value. IT’s A NO BRAINER.

we payed allot of money for nasri (yes us the fans!!) and apart from the first half of last season he has done nothing to pay the club or us fans back! its players like him underperforming or then going completely of the boil when they do start to perform that has cost this club.
Its nasris mentality and complete inconcistency that and others like him that have cost us silverware. i just wanna know when is nasri going to grow up and take responsability for not making the most of his time at arsenal and wining something for the club. he is as much to blame as anyone just like fab and clichy who has now gone to city but never once aknowledged the cock ups he made in our shirt.
So to all those who say we love aw or are in denial thats bollox, id just rather we gave players like frimpong and miyachi a chance even if it does cost us champions league next year, than have to watch one more match with twats like nasri and fab dishonour and rape our club of all thats good about it.

I beieve we have an extremely good team, an addition of two centre backs would be like putting cherry on the chocolate cake, or should I say two cherries. Cahill and Per would be great signings, getting rid of the two TWATS (Fab and Nas) would be priceless LOL…
These two have caused so much contrevecy that the entire preseason was over shadowed by their unrest!
Every gunner was heart broken by the departure of Henry (Legend), these two to me are just a joke, it doest touch me anywhere… We’ve been here before!

let him go if he wants…only if he’s replaced by Keisuke Honda. People forget that Nasri was a attacking midfielder at the start, then Wenger went and made him a winger! Nasri even showed his displeasure of playing the wings in an interview.
The problem is that Wenger feels that just because he is older, he knows best. He believes he knows more about the player than the player knows about himself.

Despite all the criticism that Wenger gets and all the speculation about him the club and his players, be it on this and any other site, in the press, from anyone that wants to be a pundit …….know one really knows the true extent of what actually goes on behind closed doors.
With regards to Nasri one reason why he might be reluctant to be held to ransom with regards to Nasri’s pay demands is due to the fact that apart from tale end of 2009/2010 season and a bit of a ‘purple patch’ this season until he tailed off again round about February. Nasri has never in his time with us put in a lengthy consistent run of performances.
Although he can have an influence on a game he doesn’t do it with any great consistency or passion and he might have a suspect temperament with regards to when he thinks he’d like to put a shift in as opposed to being able to do a decent job week in, week out and be worthy of a pay rise.
Also, when a player who plays in an already decent side such as Arsenal say that ‘I want to win stuff’ and thinks he’d be best placed to do that somewhere else. What he’s really saying is….I don’t actually want to work to win things under my own steam. What I want is a team with an already big reputation (and to a degree, proven track record) and already has momentum that can carry me. So, if he ended up and Man U for example….he still wouldn’t have to really put in a shift as the style of play and the work ethic at Man U would covet him in their glory. Pretty much the same as Torres and even more recently for us Clichy and similarly Adebayor.
To echo a point of one of the respondents above….Nasri was little know when he joined us and although he had talent, Arsenal was able to nurture him to a point and put him on a stage that he might never have graced in his career. He and a few other players in our time have been plucked from obscurity, polished up and made good and have just used Arsenal as a springboard to somewhere else i.e Hleb, Adebayor et al.
Also, and again being subject to the rumour mill….I’ve heard he can be an antagonistic little shit as well. Even though, Evra has come out recently and heaped glory and praise and glory on Nasri in order to get him to Man U. The fact is that they supposedly hate each other with a passion. This all stems from the fact that when Nasri was in the French team under Didier Dechamps, he supposedly caused a lot of dissent amongst the squad which were no more than little cliques and played each one off against the other…no doubt changing his allegiance to suit. How he done it I don’t know…but he wasn’t liked by a lot of his own team mates and definitely not by Deschamps.
Maybe there’s a little bit of that Machiavellianism ( I know there’s no such word) with regards to Nasri at Arsenal and that’s why Wenger doesn’t truly place any credence on Nasri’s monetary worth, although he still sees him as a decent enough player but as stated beforehand…..with a suspect temperament and some baggage.
To be honest…..both Nasri and Fabregas do add something special to the team and give us a different dimension but….you can’t say that they are so special that without either of them Arsenal would be nothing more than a team of bit part players or those two have been the fabric and cement of the team !
Let them go, wish them well and get as much money as you can.
Arsenal will prevail….we might look a bit different in terms of our play but we’ll still be up there in that top four and climbing !

The four tame shots that nasri put straight down fosters throat would also of won us the carling cup but you go ahead and forget that. after all im being over critical of a player who thinks hes up there with messi and worthy of the balloon du joir thingy!
Like messi great players step up and take there chances, nasri did not and so he cost us the carling cup! and dont even get me started on his epl performances in 2011. HOW ON EARTH CAN ANY PLAYER ON THIS PLANET BE REGARDED AS WORLD CLASS AFTER HALF A GOOD SEASON? AND THE FANS THAT THINK THIS ARE MORE DELUDED THAN THE PLAYERS THAT THINK IT!

Dotun don’t be an idiot and get your facts right. The wage structure is set by the club not the manager. Why is Nasri worth 120k? Luka Modric is 50k a wk and you are here complaining about Nasri not been offered 120K. I will run out of page if i have to start listing players way above Nasri’s standard that are not on 120K. He reminds me of Adebayor one good season he think he is better than Henry. How much was CR on at Man Utd before he was sold to R. Madrid. Some of just open your gob without thinking so shut it.
