Mancini threatens to play schoolkids against Arsenal
The Man City manager Roberto Mancini is incensed that the FA have scheduled both his team and Liverpool to play in the League Cup Quarterfinals just two days after facing each other in the Premier League, in fact he thinks that the players should have a formal protest and he personally should pick schoolkids to face Arsenal.
He ranted: “We will change all the team because this is an incredible situation. For this reason the national team arrives at European Championships and World Cups and they are dying – they do not have time to recover.
“To play in two days, two games like this, after a Champions League game, is incredible. I think the players should say something about this. For the players it is important to play, but it is important also to recover, a minimum three days between one game and another.’
“I agree with him (Dalglish). I think sometimes we should play with 11 young players, 14-15 years. It is not correct this, not only for us but all the players.”
Well in that case Wenger should pick his youth team as well (plus Van Persie lol!). That should be enough to win easily!

Mancini is in “loosing before playing” situation. He knows his squad has a small possibility to win against the Gunners. Even if they’re not tired we can still win. Remember, we’ve put 3 goals in their net last year without receiving any and we can still do it tonight. Go go Gunners !!!

Mancini is only saying this because the game is at the Emirates. If it was at Etihad, City fans who paid for tickets would be furious for paying high prices to watch schoolkids. But since the game is at Arsenal, he doesn’t have to worry about angry fans lashing out at him for his team selection. Not like he is actually considering selecting kids for the game anyway.

Colo cn actually give birth to wilshere who hs already put bhind academic issues…mancini n dalglish hv never felt the heat lyk they r doing now…lst sson we played 12 games within 1 month which caused us the epl top spot. Mancini is feeling the pressure right now. The air is running out of the balloon called Man Sheid; they could very well be out of the run for the CL come friday next week and their pace in the PL is also taking a dive.
Because of all the money spend by him he still has problems delivering and now he is scared Shittyless that no matter what team he comes to Ashburton Grove with he will loose, That and only that is the reason for him to speaking like he does.
His squad is more than big enough to put a good team together, but the dude is scared. And ofc he should be…..we are ARSENAL

I really hope Wenger doesn’t fall for this mind game and trick. We are way off the EPl top spot already so lets give this one that we still ve a fair chance our best shot. I say, stick the big boys in there from the first half. If by the second half we are comfortably leading then, get the youths on to finish the game and as well get a feel of the action. Starting with the youths then introduce the big boys to start chasing the game if its not going our way wont be a smart idea, that tactic have failed us a couple of times before.

@Tommy That is exactly what I think. These players are paid a fortune to play football. It’s 90 minutes. He makes it sound like they have just come out of World War 3. all i know is that we are playing m/city today even if mancini him self or his kids put on that jersey today we are beating them.
