Marseille v Arsenal betting tips – expect goals!
Arsenal’s Champions League experience is continuing and the next challenge for Arsene Wenger’s team will be away from home on French territory against Olympique Marseille. The French are currently leaders in Group F after wins against Greek team Olympiakos and German champions Borussia Dortmund. Arsenal may be favourites in the Premier Leage betting to finish fourth, but without a win in Marseille they may be in danger of failing to reach the Group Stages of the Champions Leage.
Arsenal are now holding tight of the 2nd place after a win against the Greeks and a draw against the Germans. The team which will manage to get the biggest part of the 6 points they will play for in the next two Champions League legs will have a big chance to qualify, leaving the other one to fight for the second spot against Borussia Dortmund.
Marseille are seen as favourites for Wednesday’s game due to the home ground advantage and to the fact they are currently group leaders. A “1” bet on this match would bring you a 2.25 odd, while a “2” bet would bring a 3.10 odd. That’s a huge odd if we take into consideration Arsenal’s pace at the moment. Sure, Wenger’s team did have some problems and sure, they still have a lot of catching up to do in the Premier League, but ever since the win at Swansea they managed to have better games weekly and that’s a very good sign of things to come.
Marseille are also a fierce club although the late form hasn’t been great for them either and this match finds them in the 15th spot in the Ligue 1 table. We must take into consideration that they defeated Borussia Dortmund in a decisive manner by winning 3-0 at home in the second matchday of the Champions League group stage.
As we keep saying lately, our best advice for this game as well is to bet on “Over 2.5”. When you place that bet you must think about Arsenal’s offensive pedigree and the big number of chances they manage to create game in, game out. You must also think about the excellent attack Marseille has with Remy and Ayew in the front line.
Arsenal has a very good chance of qualifying if they manage to win this game, so Arsene Wenger will surely use his best resorts to do so. The Frenchman knows how important this game is for the Gunners and their fans, so expect a very attacking match from both sides.

There will be at least 3 goals. I liked the starting line up in the sundrland game but I would start Santos, tell jenkison to stay back and let Santos move forward , start benyoun for arteta and arshavin for Walcott. To get this straight, I’m not chastizing Walcott. He had a good game against sunderland but arshavin looks hungry for success so why not give him the European platform to do it and Walcott is a game changer when he comes o the bench. Jenkison must keep up his form but I still think arsene needs to get van der wiel in January if he can. I know the gunners can take it, come on arsenal!
