Max: Taarabt loves Wenger and wants to replace Fabregas

The Queen’s Park Rangers’ attacking midfielder Adel Taarabt has been contacted by both Arsenal and Chelsea about a possible move.
“I had contact with Arsenal and Chelsea, but it is a little muddled. Arsenal have not yet sold Cesc Fabregas, and as for Chelsea, they do not yet have a coach, so we will see,” Taarabt said.
Taarabt scored 19 goals in 43 appearances for QPR helping them win the Npower Championship and promotion to the Premier League. In the process he won the Football League’s player of the season award. Although Taarabt seems eager to move to a higher profile club he insists that playing time will be the deciding factor. He said that he would rather play every week at QPR than sit on the bench at Chelsea but he conceded that Arsenal would be an easier team to break into.
“I would have had a better chance at Arsenal. I would progress with Arsene Wenger. He is a legend in France, one of the best managers in the world,” Taarabt said. He also said his friendship with Samir Nasri and the presence of his fellow Moroccan Marouane Chamakh are factors in his decision.
QPR have put a price of £10m on his head and if he could reproduce his Championship form in the top flight he could be an awesome signing, as well as a sound investment.
He has obviously improved since his Tottenham days, but who thinks he’s good enough to replace Fabregas?

I think he would be better at wing. Buy Taarabt and Gervinho, with them and Nasri and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas we will have good wingers. Sell Arshavin and Walcott, they are not penetrable anymore.

If you buy him and put him in strike, i wont be happy, because we need a goalscorer. He’d be a good winger to test gervinho or maybe push him forward but he isnt a goalscorer. i want people like falcao, benzema and eto’o. Whoever sed walcott should be sold is dumb, hes developing and hes still so young

Fabregas will defo go this summer in my opinion. i reckon aw is waiting to see if barca are serious and will splash the full amount. I don’t think, apart from Gervinho, we will see much movement until then. Once this has been agreed aw will then use the funds available to strengthen the team. This guy is certainly good enough to play for arsenal and who knows he could turn out to be as good as cesc. At least he sounds as if he would like to play for AFC and wont get home sick.

Buy: Gervinho, Taarabt, Vertonghen/Sakho, any decent backup CDM, Camacho or someone
Sell: Fabregas, B52, Denilson
If possible use the proceeds from Fab’s sale to fund Hazard/Lukaku, or a decent replacement for Clichy if he goes.

Wenger must clear some players first like Denilson,bendner,clichy, rosicky. arshavin, aboue,diaby, squllacy, manone and almunia they are about £60m and then buy Samba,cahil, eden hazard,chirvinho and chambarlain they could be about £70m

We don’t need him
Look at our midfield: Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott, Wilshere, Ramsey- all first class, with the exception of Walcott still developing.
In the off chance that Fabs or Nasri leave this season (they will not both leave – hopefully) we need a top quality midfielder replacing them, best option is Hazard.
No need for 2nd rate wingers, our midfield is overloaded already as it is.

Buy him now, he’ll be hot by mid-season. I’ve watched him many times in the past 2 years. A bit of a ball hog but that will be fixed when he starts training with Jack and Samir. He can be as good as Cesc in a year or two, what he does have is a bit more grit and anger which we do need.

Well look at it this way for 10 million you could a very good skilled INDIVIDUAL and has an eye for goal. But on the other hand he has a big ego probably a big wage and plenty of moaning coming with it if you’re looking at the pros and cons of Taarabt. But in my opinion is that we could get him because 19 goals a season kind of like Nasri and also his links and it also sounds like he is an Arsenal fan rating the players and the manager very highly. When players like this say come and get me kind of quote they don’t go unignored by wenger and the staff he is a great player don’t get me wrong but players with big egos Wenger doesn’t get on well with players like Bendtner but this is because hes not good enough,Taarabt on the other hand he has more skill and all the perks an arsenal midfielder should have unlike joey barton or scott parker which are both great players but still are very good english players which wenger doesnt like !

The big problem for me is yet another African who will be missing in January. Imagine if we sign him, Gervinho and Eto, along with Eboue, Chamakh, Song and Frimpong we will have no one left.
However, if they are really interested in Eboue and a couple of players on loan as i have heard then that could be a really good deal for us. Kos and Jenkinson could be deputies for Sagna, whilst Emmanuel-Thomas and Frimpong would thrive under Warnock for a season and would really sort out their attitude problems if they really exist? After all he seems to have straightened this fella out. Not sure how Wenger would cope though with Taraabt and Barton in the same dressing room!!!!
What about this David Villa plus Thiago offer from Barca for Cesc is that true?

I think Taarabt still has development even though he has shown vast improvement since leaving the silly spuds team in white. Would be good just to piss spurs fans if he played for Arsenal and scored at White Hart Lane.

This has “swap deal” written all over it. Arsenal have a load of players to offload who must want to stay in London but aren’t good enough for the top clubs. QPR have a skillful player who might not get much of the ball when they’re up against the top clubs in the Premiership, plus they need players who have EPL experience. QPR would probably consider Eboue, Lansbury, JET, Bendtner and even Clichy as excellent signings and they’d get into the first team. There’s definitely a strong case for mutual co-operation here and with the connection of Chamakh and Nasri the lad will settle, he’ll even be staying in London. Just depends on whether he’ll be satisfied sitting on the bench for a lot of games.

Loan them 3 outstanding young players for the season at no charge, sell them someone like Eboue and pay them 5m (or Clichy plus 2m) on top, done deal if i was the QPR boss. Possible loan players Vela, Henderson, Lansbury, JET, Traore, Miguel….i could go on and on. Three of our top youngsters could keep them in the EPL and it’d be excellent experience for them.

Sell denilson 5 mil, rosicky 5mill, bendtner 10 mill fabregas will go for 40 mill then with 60mill added to the already 25 mill transfer funds hes got 85 mill 10 mill on gervinho, 25 on Cahill and samba play vermalean left back like he did for Ajax sell clicky 7 mill buy benzema or higuan off falco 20 mill and then buy a load of youngsters taarbart, chamberlain etc
