Mertesacker On Dortmund – “It Will Be Difficult For Us”
Per Mertesacker made his Arsenal debut at the weekend and tomorrow night he will make a return to his homeland and make his Champions League debut for Arsenal against German Champions Borussia Dortmund.
He has been speaking about the game and has warned everyone it will not be easy against last years Bundesliga winners. He said, “Dortmund were the best team in Germany last year, they do a good job passing the ball and have great players. It will be difficult for us, but I know we have very good players and I’m confident we can get a result.”
He went on to say, “Dortmund are the toughest opponent in our group, so we will be very happy if we can take something from this match. I have a lot of experience, but it is a new level for me to play in England although my targets and goals are high. One thing is for sure, I will give everything every time I put on the Arsenal shirt.”
That’s what we want to hear commitment from our players. Lets hope Mertesacker has been brushing up on his English and telling everyone everything he knows about Dortmund ahead of the game tomorrow night. They may be Champions of Germany, but they have not got off to the best start this time around, with just two wins from their first five games, including a 2-1 home defeat on Saturday.
Lets go there with a bit of belief as it appears to be the right time to be playing them, but then I guess they are saying that about us aren’t they.

Yes we can go to Germany and get a decent result, but we will need a little bit of luck like we got in Italy in the last round. Come on Arsenal we can do it tomorrow!

I know its in to be pessimistic but I think we can get a good result out there which ought to lift our boys. This is also good time for Wenger to see that we need big players to cover the holes left by Cesc and Nassri.

Great looking side on paper, hope they’ve got the goods on the night. Looked like we played with the breaks on on Saturday. Put Wiltshire in that 11 and things don’t look so bad!

a 4-4-2 formation is wat we can make a result from. we need 2 good strikers up fron(rvp,park)wit arteta , gerv, ramsey, and song to support in the middle park, sagna, met, kos, gibbs/santos. i bet we will be better

Lets forget about Cesc n nasri…they too have forgotten about Arsenal..so let the new men we had in play their football we may discovered that they will put ARSENAL on track again, why keep on moaning about the two..Arsenal for ever..
