Mertesacker – Wolves keeper was brilliant but Arsenal are still going into the Top Four
The German defender Per Mertesacker was just one of the Arsenal players that were denied a goal by Wayne Hennessey in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Wolves, but despite the small setback he is still certain that the Gunners will be moving back into the Champions League places very shortly.
“We had a big chance to go into fourth place, but we didn’t do that. It was our fault – we had a lot of chances but we didn’t score,” said Mertesacker.
“There are some days in the life of goalkeepers where something happens like that. He was in great form and it was his day.
“Yes, we had a big chance today, but there are other big chances to come. We are ready to go into the top four and are confident.”
Surely Arsenal’s luck will change on Saturday and they will get a hatful of goals aginst QPR at the Emirates, but will Wenger be taking an opportunity to rest Robin Van Persie despite his record attempt?

yes, we can finish in the top 4. we have earned 26 points out of a possible 33, which is not a small tally. the squad will get stronger with the return of wilshere, sagna & santos. also, a few buys are expected. so, if we manage to maintian the same form in the second half of the season, we can challenge for the second or third spot.

top four – definitly….top 2 – still capable!!!…..yes..wilshere n sagna back will b a big boost…a stronger team wid wilshere a leader in da middle n sagna as the ever influential RB!!…arsenal will start to dominate through out games with the full strength side…

Per – you were good on Tuesday. Please keep up the brilliance! The verminator has not been very brilliant certainly because he is still being played out of his best position. Hopefully, when we have the right covers and he goes back to his position we will see the brilliance associated with him, and what a strong team we shall be seeing in this second half of the season.

There’s something good about this GERMAN GIANT we’ve not seen yet and i guess by the end of this year he’ll have unleashed it coz he’s gradually coming to life
