Mikel Arteta convinced that Van Persie won’t leave Arsenal
The Gunners midfielder Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he believes that nobody loves Arsenal as much as their captain Robin Van Persie, and the way he talks he seems convinced that the prolific Dutchman would not leave the club he loves so much.
Arteta said: “He is unbelievable, his natural talent is up there with the best in the world, his creativity, his finishing, the way he trains is absolutely fantastic. He gives 100 per cent and loves this club, everything he says and does it means a lot to him.
“Everybody knows that Robin isn’t loud or anything like that but he leads by example. And that is much better than talking too much and then not being able to do what you need to do. Sometimes he takes responsibility and is really hard on himself, for me Robin is 10 out of 10 for everything that I have seen.”
With Wojciech Szczesny also stating today that he was sure that Van Persie would sign his contract extension in the summer, perhaps Arsenal fans are worrying unnecessarily?

This arsenal team has proven that they, while being less talented, are more risilient than last years team. There’s a lot of guys in the team that are proud to wear arsenal colors, and don’t want to wear any other colors…..nothing against fabregas, but that wasn’t the case for him…. These guys like fighting for each other. That’s something RVP might not want to leave behind.
Top Gooner!. Agree or not?:

What a relief! If this story was true then my fear is alleviated. I hope the board will bring in descent signings this summer to help the flying Dutchman win some trophies before finally retiring from football in few seasons. I love the Dutchs, they are loyal, think of Bergkamp and Overmas!

Sean I agree.
His main and probably the one and only motive to leave Arsenal to join Barca was to win trophies.
Strange that we fans don’t switch sides when the club you support does not win nothing.
So if you are not a fan of your club, and don’t cherish it as much, i am not that worried he walked away. Seems like Rosicky is doing what he used to do, and getting better each day.
RVP has given his 100% every match he has played and his body language makes it so evident this guy love his club. His performance has not dropped even with all the transfer speculation. He still does his job, and does it best. Did you Fab..?? I don’t think so. So that that. For me Fabrigas is just a name on one of my Arsenal Jerseys, which I don’t wear any longer. Guess we don’t miss him after all. Wonder what Mr. Clichy and Mr. Nasri are up to these days.
Opinions divided. What do you think?

lf he signs, it could be he is doing so because he knows that Wilshere will be back, and the odd one or two quality faces are coming in. This maybe what he is looking for. Assurances that Arsenal are looking to show ambition, and push on next season

This is good news, but you know that he will wait to see what Arsenal do during the summer with signings before committing.

A captain has to motivate his team mates expecially at this time. The Orange always good start with Bergk, Over, Van ver, steroi , desir they always lead others follow. I wish RVP best of luck hopefully HULK will join him later.

I think Wenger shd do the right thing by placing him among the best in term of wages and sign quality striker to releave him of the scoring burdens.

We might be out of title contention, but we are not absolutely dead.
I just couldn’t believe it! it was a scintillating show of formation. at 35th minute, we had conceded 2 crucial goals and spurs were on the verge of completing their mantle to destroy us. Little did we know that RVP and Sagna could level the game within five minutes. we went into second half showing no signs of weakness as it proved in the second half. It has taken 2 days to sink into my head toward the attitude arsenal fans show on Arsenal FC. We are not an average team as majority of Wenger critics like to put it. This is the same midfield ( Benayoun and Rosisky) that destroyed Norwich 5-0 in midweek friendlies. You might think Arsenal is out but remember to wear your shockproof Jersey next time you visit Emirates stadium
What positives did we pick from the match?
1. Sagna-Walcott combination is excellent.
If there is somebody who knows how to use Walcott’s Formula one talent, then it’s not Wenger, its Sagna. that game showed that Walcott can be dangerous with balls in the box if sufficiently supplied with ‘raw materials’
2. RVP is a leader in the pitch
His goal that equalized the tie, was self made and that showed RVP is dangerous both in and out of the box. the goal lifted the Morale of other members of the team as we saw in second half. those are skills of good leadership. Slapping him with a five year deal of $220,000 per week, won’t do any harm to Kroenke and Gazidis.
3. Rosisky- Benayoun combination is better than Arteta- Ramsey cookies.
you don’t need Jose mourinoh to interpret for you this. speed was the order of the day as R-B combination overshadowed Bale-scott-da vaart-modric brotherhood. Armed with experience and trying to force their way into first team, R-B combination is a thing to watch in the next few weeks into premiership. stay tuned.
4. Wenger has faith in his players
Those boo-boys at the Emirates terraces almost spoiled the game as their stupid voices almost killed Walcott’s chances of scoring a double. however,Wenger stood on the ground and showed his commitment to the player. something that dearly paid off. that shows how a good manager he is.
5. Song, Gibbs, Vermeline and Koscielny are also good defensibly.
Song is the best defensive midfielder in the world, no doubt about that, he made Adebayor shut up, Sagna made Bale look like a failure in life and Arteta made Modric look ordinarily as Scott Parker showed a missing content in his life by being the only unruly player of the match. Can he break into three lions Euro champs?
It was a well played game however it was our day. lets prepare ourselves to hit Anfield with a bang!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Wenger is a foolish man cos if he likes money too much. Tell wenger to be careful not to make silly mistake by selling rvp cos he’s unpredictable. To me wenger will not sign d needed players dis summer bcos he blvs dat some players are still on injury. Wenger should please change his tradition for once b4 dis club goes trophyless for 10years.

I think if we have the same 11 who destroyed the one season wonder spuds then milan can be beaten. Also some mickey mouse hazard guy says that the spuds result against arsenal was just a blip. But i have news for u mr mickey mouse hazard that this season is a blip for spuds. This is one off season that spuds are playing well, believe me.

nxt season’s squad
Sczesny/manno
Sagna/jenk kosc/mert verm/miquel gibb/santos
Theo/ox arteta/rocisky/diaby song/frimp ramsey/jack gerv/ryo
Rvp/campbell
So if u luk at d squad including upcoming players like yennaris, afobe, arsenal can still cope
Arsenal shud sell bendtner(6mill),squid(2.5mill),almunia(250k),denilson(8mill),arshavin(6mill)fabianski(7mill).that is abt 31mill,add abt 6mill and get gotze(can play cm and rm),hazard(some ppl genuinely r saying hes actually as gud as ronaldo).so make 1 big signing, that cud complete d squad.. And maybe a centreback as well

RVP will come to a cross roads, it’s inevitable. Will he stay or go? If he goes hunting for trophies then the chances are that he’ll find them, a lot of other clubs would be happy to have him in the side. If he stays however, he has the chance to become a club legend; one of the rarer phenomenons in world sport and in my opinion the most appreciated by the fans; it is symbolised purely by loyalty, dedication and class.
Ibrahimovic said last week that he moved clubs won trophies and that RVP should do the same. Ibrahimovic will never be a club legend. Not that he isn’t a great player, and to his credit he has won trophies, but he’s not in the same position as RVP; leave and almost definitely get trophies, stay and maybe get some but definitely go down in Arsenal folklore; the name that’s spoken about with reverence, with dreamy eyes, with a lump in the throat, with the utmost respect.
It’s a big decision and I won’t begrudge him if he goes but if he stays his name will be immortalised in Arsenal history forever.
