More Arsenal rumours – M’Baye Niang, Mauro Zarate and Kevin Anin
There is no doubt as the transfer window nears closure there are some very strange Arsenal transfer rumours being bandied about right now. Just as the Arsenal Fans are clamouring for Wenger to buy some top experienced centre-backs, Sky Sports reveals that Arsene Wenger is chasing a 16 year-old striker/midfielder!
His name is M’Baye Niang and he currently plays for Caen in France, and has quite an impressive record of three goals in just seven games for the French minnows, and he hotly tipped as a star of the future (so of course Wenger is interested!
Wenger has lost Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, so unsurprisingly Wenger has said that he is trying to reinforce the Gunners midfield. “Of course at the moment the squad is short,” he said. “We are very hard working out on the transfer market. We are short in midfield at the moment and that’s where we want to strengthen.”
Let´s not hope that he thinks Niang will be able to fill the big hole in the Arsenal midfield, unless it is in five years time……
The French Ligue is also where Wenger has apparently made an enquiry for the Sochaux midfielder Kevin Anin, but the player himself reckons that there is nothing likely to happen just yet. “There was an enquiry from Arsenal, it went away and in the end there was nothing concrete,” he said. Not much of a rumour there then…..
Mauro Zarate is another one that has been linked with Arsenal lately. The (occasional) Argentine international was a failure at Birmingham but became impressive for a while when he moved to Italy, now the Lazio striker has been whispered as having had talks with Arsenal. Personally that would seem a bit unlikely as Parma have always quoted outrageous prices for the small hitman, and Wenger REALLY needs a margquee signing right now, and Zarate definitely doesn’t come into that category….
Why Oh Why didn’t Wenger push the boat out a bit further for Juan Mata? He would have cost slightly less than Arsenal got for Nasri. That one seemed like a no-brainer to me……

Zarate plays for Lazio and not Parma. But it’s classic Wenger’s shit. Cheap, French or 16 years old. The best if all this. We still have some believe in you Arsene but do the things right!

Just beat the hell out of barcelona and Man City this season, that’s all I ask….and united, liverpool and chelsea/mata if there’s some great performances to spare…it is achievable even with the current squad, though more likely with a few big signings

well, I would like to think that Wenger will sign players that are 23+ years old. And Zarate would be a great addition to the squad. Him and Aguero would probably be top runners for the golden boot this season. (if he is signed)

We are talking high profile players, wenger is still gambling, still buying young boys who cannot play in the league and even champion’s league, after cesc and nasri’s departure does’nt he feel we need better players? Its not fair at all,its stressful!

Nonsense explained.
1) Idiot #1 makes ridiculous claim about Arsenal signing.
2) Multiple idiots repost the nonsense on multiple boards.
3) The signings do NOT happen
4) Multiple IDIOTS curse Wenger for NOT making the phantom signings that Arsenal NEVER made in the first place.
5) Idiots sit and wait for step #1 to start ALL OVER AGAIN.

I dont know why but players from the Seria A hardle ever impress in the EPL. Zarate might not be the best buy.

We should stop wasting our time buying those players, but he might be very good if we can get players within premiership,it will take those guys time to adapt. Please AW get around with Premiership players.

jimbo, you mean jadson, why would madrid let ozil go after he got the most assists in la liga and starts most games for them… and kaka would be great, but he is on 153,000 a week supposedly, so it wont happen… so dont talk piss. zarate would be a quality signing, so wopuld hazard, vertonghen, baines, m’vila, but i dont believe we will get anyone else in… im sorry to say, but it looks fucking bleak… if sky sports knows that we are in for niang, then wouldnt they have some sort of clue or info about other players, we have left it too late again in my eyes… i dont understand how this happened, but the higher echelons of this club are mugs… we have a good basis for a squad, but we are well short of citeh, chelski and manure, so i dont know what will happen… just SPEND SOME &%$&ING MONEY

Zarate has scored 1 goal every 4 games since he moved to Italy (according to his wiki page). Not the sort of form we want at the Emirates. Benzema would be my choice. We’ve got the cash and if we made a high enough bid he might just come……

I do not think there will be any more new signing this summer. There are no even any slight activities or movements to that end, so you have to accept that and stop speculating! Your are wasting your time.

Looking at our Champions League draw I would rather see Arsenal buy any of the following to weaken the competition and strengthen our team with top stars :
Loic Remy
Stephane Mbia – perfect for DM and CB
Hummels
Subotic
Valbeuna
Gignac
Lucho Gonzalez
Lucas Barrios
My choice would be Mbia, Valbeuna and Remy but I doubt Marseille will let 2 or 3 players go at once.
Perhaps Mbia, Hummels and Lucas Barrios would be more fair.
70 to 80 million Euro’s could land all 3. If Arsenal have got the bottle to do it!

NO, Mata would not come to Arsenal even if we offered £50, he has stated clearly that HIS preference was for Chelsea, NOT Arsenal or Spurs.

focus on the real problem. after nasri and fabregas and glichy. we need three players. and assuming gervinho can replace nasri. we still need two players center midfield and left back and center back. if wenger buy three players forfit these positions then i can say in wenger we trust.

RVP – Wenger will not get a left back or left sided player as he does not want to impede the development of Gibbs, Traore, Ryo or Oxelaide-Chambers. He has plenty of options in these positions with Sagna/Jenkinson/Vermalen also showing they can play LB if needed – of course we could name many players that are well established to play in these positions like Baines (I wish).
Wenger has made it clear he will be looking for a versatile DM/CB (like Mbia) and possibly a playmaker like Valbuena/Jedson/Mata.
If he signs players in any other position they will be young prospects or a last minute great deal.

I think wenger must be totally out of his mind for him to still have intention of sighning underage players istead of experience players.he need to be reffered to psychatric home for rehablitation.

Zarate is the most selfish player in the Italian league. I know Arjen Robben isn’t in the same league but that’s still saying a lot.

its not wenger who won”t sign new players it’t the arsenal board that won’t pay any player more over 100’000 you think the likes of a 30 mil player will come for 90’000 a week you’s must be dreaming so get off wenger back and have his back you’s so call arsenal fans

Have you not read Mata’s statement? Clearly not and id go woth his belief. Lets get of AW back and direct or anger and frustration at the board, ive realised its their fault with their wage policy, tops clubs habe tp pay the same.
Would you expect an executive to work for a managers wages…. ??
The worse thing that happened to our beloved club was Gazidis grabbing power with Hill Wood as well.
Dein Back and we will win title in 3 years

Before you all accuse Wenger for the shit happening, look at the other post telling us that although Wenger is trying to get big names into Arsenal (Mata deal was going through but then we stalled when the salary talk came into it). The board won’t let anyone recieve over what, 100k+ per week?
Kaka wass actually linked, and we had Mata, but the salary is what stopped us and it’s not Wengers fault, its the Arsenal board.

Except for Niang and that also for the future, the rest is not what we need.
We need Hazard, M’Villa, Garry Cahill and Baines/Cissokho from Lyon.
I hope the club won’t lose focus and won’t waste their time. Get the primary target then we talk about the secondary target.
The priority is wrong some where obviously. We could spend time and money to sign players like Chamberlin and Joel Campbell who haven’t even feature for any game but we cannot sign Garry Cahill who is in need for the MU game. Now we will have to depend on Djourou who is error prone lately.

mbia is good and is fighter in the mold of the late marc foe and he demonstarates leadership on the pitch.i have always argued that what we need now are not the perfectionists we have seen for the last 5 seasons.we need to back to the basics like george grahams team, less technically but winners all through.we had leadership all over the pitch and we had tony adams who couldn’t take nonsense from fellow players(even if he wasn’t playing),at least that is what i saw in udine, with tv5 shouting at frimpong to get back and giving him an earful, encouraging and positioning jenkinson in deadball situations.for the matter i’d rather have kevin doyle or rodallega or even roque santa cruz(he was a decent player at blackburn and still is for paraguay) than the zarates
