Nasri to stay but Fabregas to leave?
According to Steve Stammers in the Mirror this morning, Arsene Wenger is convinced that he will find a compromise with Samir Nasri and his agent this week, as they are locked in contract talks. It will be a fantastic boost to the Gunners and the fans if Wenger is successful in keeping the 23 year-old Frenchman at the Emirates.
But he also reckons that Wenger has given up on trying to keep Fabregas from joining Barcelona, and he will let the Spaniard leave if Barcelona compromise on a £40m transfer fee.
He sounds like he has a lot of inside info from the Arsenal camp, and predicts that Bendtner will be going to Shakhtar Donetsk and will be used as part exchange for either Willian or Douglas Costa, who both impressed Wenger when they played each other in the Champions League.
Worryingly he also thinks that Clichy will definitely be going to Liverpool, but Wenger will bring in Christopher Samba and make a bid for Stewart Downing.
But the most important this for me is that he gets Nasri to sign on the dotted line as quick as possible to restore confidence in the team. Other signings will be a lot easier if they know that Nasri will still be in the team…….

Yes please just sell Fabregas, I love Fabregas but if he doesn’t want to stay at the club and he’s the captain let him go. For me he has had the a really poor season, he’s missed to many key games F.A cup against manchester united which I think we could of won…. Carling cup final and loads of other Prem games, and then when he isn’t injured against Barca he plays terrible and let’s them score the first goal. He’s been injured for half the season and whoever buy Fabregas have fun spending 40-50 mil on an injury prone player, so just sell fabregas and sign Nasri a new contract.

if he wants to leave, then let him go to that f***ing catalan side. i’m sick of him making this kind of news in the end of every season. keep nasri in, he’s good. bring in all the players linked with us, everything is gonna be back on track again. gervinho, willian, cahill, samba all come in. we have to help bendtner find new club, recommend them to buy the dane, and denilson must go, we can make exchange with him. clichy should stay, he is the real arsenal man, he loves this club. Yes, get nasri to stay; he can play in the middle especially now when cesc is going to leave, so there’s no question of not giving him hsi favourite position.
Hope that the defense is sorted out quickly with key experienced top CBs. Great talents attract great talents, so spending on top players wont be a waste.

Fabregas was well below par last season, if he is going to replicate the same form, then wenger would be right to let him go! Same with clichy, has he ever been that good, he isnt the greatest defender, barely gets forward and when he does can’t get a cross past the first man, Baines would be a great signing, the stats don’t lie

I want Fabregas to leave, it’ s a chance to have a new REAL captain. He’ s not english, he’ s injury prone. I believe he has no concentration in his game, he is slow… Sell him… I prefer Wilshere…
And bring Downing, Cattermole, Cahill, Samba, Benzema, Defoe and maybe a goalkeeper…
Sell Diaby, Denilson, Fabregas, Squillaci, Koscielny, Bendtner and Chamakh.

have to agree let fabregas go and get the best deal for him, i meen im sure he loves the club but obviously wants to be back in barcelona, and it may be a risk and i have 50/50 views on fabregas in moving to barca i meen, he could quite easily find himself left out of teamsheets as we have seen xavi, iniesta and busquests domenate the midfield so i dont know where he’ll find himself. But because of pep guardoilla’s obsesstion with fabregas and wants a team with him in it so with that reason i think he may start games. but moving on defo we should sign the likes of downing and samba and even cahill i would defo prefer him to samba ngl.

fab is worth more than 40, barca want him cheap as they feel he already belongs to them also they think that coz there barca everyone should bend over for them. i just cant see them paying what hes worth.
somebody made a great point lastnite, fab can go to barca if he wants trophies but the trophies he wins wont be because of him! kinda stuck in my mind that point. for so long hes been the king at arsenal but when he goes to barca he will be lucky if he gets to clean messi’s boots. i just wonder if fab has really and i mean really thought it through.

You guys did not even mention the defensive midfield position,mayb you think it alright?wenger please get an experience player to replace song in that midfield.if something good is not done to that department arsenal will continue having problems every season.I don’t understand why arsenal can’t keep hold of their important players.wenger should persuade cesc to stay and nasri,but players like bendtner,denilson,chamakh,almunia should leave for quality players to come in

Nasri is a good player who can play in the midfield but their re qualities that fab has which is not yet seen in Nasri. That’s why wenger is reluctant to let fab go. If he finally lets fab go,then Nasri will stay to take his position cos apart from increase wage,Nasri would like to play in his preferred position which is midfield. Clichy is a nice left back but his crosses going forward has been a problem,so replacing him won’t be a problem although he should be sold to a club outside England.

What’s the big deal with signing English players, half of them are overratted and most of them only have one good season. Anyway I think he should sell fabregas and bring in some good physical, fast & agile players.
There’s no point and me making a list as Arsene is not going to read this.
I have faith in Arsene to bring in quality players and the fact he’s gone to south america just shows he’s looking to add attackive flair, pace & technique to the squad. Lets just hope that the people he spots are physical as well.

Keeping Nasri and Fabregas is very important. We just need a top quality striker (Benzema or Falcao would be great) and a top quality centre back (gotta be Vertonghen) and if Clichy goes (Which I dont think he will if we keep Fabregas and Nasri) then we can sign Vertonghen as left back and Sakho as centre back (a better version of Samba
) Anyone else is a bonus, but I’d love to see Gervinho and Hazard in arsenal colours…

I hate to say this but I think we should start building the team round lionel nasri, no point wasting time with cesc, as he’s not our future as he’s not planing to be here, let’s start warming up nasri now in the center mid (not tht he needs to warm up) we need someone who lives n breaths arsenal, I think it sends a bad message out to our players having a captain tht wants to leave so we should cut our losses and start the revolution now and to do tht we need to let cesc go
Imagine the effect on youself if ur wife loved someone else but stayed with u compared to one tht loves the socks of u, which one would give u more confidence
This is the effect cesc has on our players confidence
In my opinion when nasri played at the hub during this season the effect was redundant and we looked good and threatening

is this really up to date news? we all known since last summer a deal between wenger and cesc had been done, for cesc to leave this summer it old boreing news, and as for nasri again we know he just looking for a better contract and probably will stay, but to be honest what he ever done at arsenal? he had one good season where he scored lots off goals, even then he was only really good before till janaray,yet since then been less then average.so if we got 15 to 20 million then it would’t be a bad deal.
bendter won’t go to shakhter, he is talking to two german clubs wolfburg and cologne i hear, and to feyenoord in holland, my money on him going to feyenoord, for around 10million. also let it be said that in july i’m lead to believe that both eboue and rosicky will join Qpr, rosicky on a free and eboue for around 5million bank on itthey both been seen at loftus road.

Does not matter if Cesc leaves! I’m sure Wilshere and Ramsey will contribute significantly next year! A guy we need to replace is Song. If you replace him with a hard tackler and hard runner, I believe the confidence this will instil in our defence which needs some tweeking too! Alex Song has dropped us from time to time! He’s slow, he fouls the opposition in dangerous areas and, after so many years with the Gunners, Song, like Denilson, has never learnt the art of effective passing.I understand there is a significant clearout, but Song’s name does not get mentioned! Why?

I say keep them both and add benzema, hazard, cahill and baines!! We have a great 1st 11 but each of this playerz I have mentioned will definately add something more for us 2 have a perfect 11 and an effective bench,,
sell all the deadwood, there time to show us what they can do is over- giving them another chance will just derail our ambitionz,
cesc has had 1 off seazon and nasri has started to manifest, with better players offering better combination we will have better cohesion- getting bendtner, denilson and squillachi disturbulizez that balance hence we cant function!!

According to my suggestion,let cesc go becauses when the manager force him to stay like last season, he has done nothing due to too much focus to play for barcelona. and let nasri my man remain wenger must know that last season Arsenel remain to champion because of him. and the new expected players must come in to support Narsi, RVP and the rest of the Arsenal guns.

Arsenal seriously need both of these two players but if they no longer have the club at heart then it makes less sense to kip them at the Emirates. Although I think Venger should do all it takes 2kip Nasri at the club. He still has a lot to offer.Arsenal has a life after them, they’re not bigger than Henry
