Now FC Anzhi target Arsene Wenger

Posted on November 26, 2011 by admin

The Sport-Express newspaper is reporting that Russian money bags Anzhi Makhachkala are targetting Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as a potential candidate for the vacant hot-seat at the Dinamo Stadium.

After taking over Arsenal way back in 1996, the Frenchman has won 3 premier league titles, 4 FA Cups and has gifted us with the beautiful, free-flowing, entertaining football we all love to watch. In my opinion, he is the best manager Arsenal ever had. There is no manager in the world who could replace him.

After a horrible start to the season, there were many questioning Wenger’s position but after the remarkable revival we have witnessed over the last couple of months, the questioning has come to a end. But there are many who still believe that Le Boss could leave if we finish another season without silverware.

Anzhi, owned by millionaire Suleiman Kerimov, have also named Marseille’s Didier Deschamps and former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink as possible candidates. For the time being, the Russian club is being managed by Andrey Gordeev and former Brazilian left-back Roberto Carlos.

Wenger will honor his contract with arsenal and extend his stay for at least 4 years after that. Considering his transfer policy, I don’t think he’d leave for big money or to go reap havoc in the transfer market. And silverwear is not my priority this season, I’d much rather have a top 3 finish.

There is more chance of wenger falling pregnant via wind pollination. He loves football, not money.

Anzhi prefers instant success using money. Surely Wenger is not fit for this job? He prefers to upbring and grow talent from young players, which should be the right way. In wenger we trust.

While I thank and respect him for what he has offered to the club I think the last few seasons have taken their toll on him mentally.
The board are sitting in the back making money and AW is taking the brunt of the fans frustration but he is still supporting every action the shareholders take.
If he does not win a trophy this season he will also be doing himself a favor to leave.

Does this Anzhi owner sign based on newspaper or what? Look Guus Hiddink is now a free-agent why not sign him Anzhi?

Can’t see Wenger go. Personally I hope he signs one more extension with the club, get a young assistant he can tutor to take over after that period and then move to the “front office” of thé club.
Whether he is the best we ever had; hmmm thats a hard one. Personally I think Herbert Chapman is number 1, Wenger number 2 and Bertie number 3.
