Now the Arsenal youngsters can again impress us against Olympiacos
Although Arsenal’s senior team performed brilliantly against Wigan yesterday, Arsene Wenger will field the youngsters for all to see once again on Tuesday night.
The second string of players combined with youngsters will play against Olympiacos in the last group stage match in the Champions League. With Arsenal already topping the group, the match is inconsequential – for the gunners, at least.
After the fantastic performance by the young Guns against Manchester City that brought a great number of positives, it is time for them to show that such a performance is not merely a one-off or a fluke. With consistently good shifts from them, they can compete for a first-team spot as well and competition within a team is never a bad thing!
The match will be a difficult one to win for Arsenal as the Greek side will fancy their chances of getting at least a Europa League spot if they win and the other match between Dortmund and Marseille ends favourably for them. Nonetheless, the players should play positively especially since the youngsters and the more senior reserve players are rarely fielded against such strong opposition.
The likes of Miquel, Coquelin, Frimpong and Oxlade-Chamberlain among others will feature, which is an exciting prospect for them. Every year, the number of youth talents remaining at the club seems to dwindle (either sold or loaned off), but the fact that Arsene Wenger has kept such a number of young players at the club this year indicates they have a real chance of making it to the squad or even the first team.
Regardless of the result that the youngsters will yield against Olympiacos (take it with a pinch of salt, as we did with the Manchester City result), it is a night for them to savour and also to prove themselves to the manager, the fans and themselves that they are ready for the next step forward at the club.

Very motivating and exciting to see our young guns perform well against Man City, a second string team that is still worth about 100M. Just shows the quality of coaching Wenger provisions the team with and how hungry these younger players are. I believe we can win against Olympiacos, but more importantly this game is a NO PRESSURE match which will give the fringe players freedom to express their talents with confidence.
The Ox is a great buy and we can all see why Wenger wasn’t so frugal when it came to securing his services at 12M. This kid will be dynamite in future matches giving Arsenal that X-factor we sometimes lack. I agree with Wenger that he’s not ready yet, but I believe Wenger says this just to appease the media pressure off Chamberlain. We forget how young he is and we all know how much potential he’s got. Let’s be patient Gooners, a STAR is in the making!

Although first team players: Ramsey and Gervinho
Thought I’d also mention that Ramsey needs more composure on hitting his shots which he’s been given many chances over the last few weeks. Gervinho needs to work on his first touch, dribbling skills and finishing too. good to see him bag a goal against Wigan though.
I think they’ve both done well but Arsenal could always have a better goal difference which could essentially separate 4th from 5th place in the EPL. Maybe losing Chamakh and Gervinho in ?Jan to Africans Nations Cup would be a bonus and opening for Chamberlain to come in. I believe he’s all round a deadlier striker and one that always threatens the defence with his runs, tricks and crosses.

How is Miyaichi doing? He was good at Feyenoord but has hardly played for Arsenal except for his cameos in the Carling Cup.

I cant see wenger signing anyone now in january unless he.plans to make a few sales and a whole load of loan outs.
with the euros looming u cannot see the likes of fabianski mannone rosicky arshavin diaby squillaci being happy with such limited opportunities. i reckon we could off load a complete team and not even have a need to replace them though i certainly would add to the squad if we shed this lot.

@undisclosed we just started playing well and you already want to sell our backup players… please you can not be serious, you have no idea how important is to have good back up players… if we sell rosicky, mannone, fabianski, arshavin, chamakh, diaby i doubt we could get such good back up players for less, and even if we could, why? these players have been arsenal players for some time now and don’t need time to adapt, and can fill in when needed… what would you do, sell 5 players to get one quality player and then what, we have no backup… and we can’t depend on teenagers to be backup cos they aren’t ready yet and we could damage their progression… young players tend to work really hard to prove themselves, sometimes too hard and they end up injured… just look at how long it took walcott to stop getting injured very often…

yeah, I think Miyachi is one player us fans are dying to see.. all in good time though, we don’t need to rush him let him progress and learn at a steady speed to avoid any pressure or unncessary injury which could hinder a potential legend in the making. I hope the young guns again do us proud in this match.

Miyaichi is injury not were near ready for the hopefully all the 1st team get a good rest Dec will be a hard month already qualifying is a god sent gives us a full week to prepare for teh Everton game.

We should play a young weak team, they are many reasons.
1. It will help Olympiakos go through, if they beat our weakened team, knocking out dortmund and giving us more chance of buying gotze.
2. It will help give our youngsters experience in the toughest tournament in the club world.
3. It will rest the senior players ahead of the game against Everton, who are actually really close to us on the table with a game in hand.
Team we should use:

Park/Chamakh(or do 4-4-2 with both strikers, then drop arshavin)
This will respect their team because it is probably better anyway!

Allowing the young Gunners to prove them-self is a Good idea, infact am happy to ear this. But one thing i will like the coach to do as january concern is that he should please make it possible to sign Mario Gotze from the germany side coz i will like to see the young talented at the emirate in january. Up Gunners.

Please i don’t like the way we mention arshavin among the non competent players in the emirate squad, that guy is great its just that he is under pressure and that is affecting him, maybe you guys should help him and chamak to settle down and we will see them in their best forms… Hope we will comply..up gunnerz

it would be nice to see the young lads show us what they can do agaisnt passionate fans such as the Olympiacos fans. Their cup performance was great and now there is a chance to impress in Europe as well.

It will be fantastic to get the young guns out there………wish Wenger could also give Arshavin a chance BUT this time as aa attacking midfielder….that is his natural position….he can even gain more form at the champs league
