Offers for Arshavin and Sagna to be considered
There is a report today that states that the Russian side Zenit St. Petersberg are keen to bring back their prodigal son Andrei Arshavin to the Russian League. Arshavin arrived from Zenit to great fanfare two years ago, but his skills seem to have diminished after a brilliant opening season.
There has been zero discussions over a contract extension so now would be the perfect time for Arshavin to leave and the Mirror reports that Zenit are offering £7m to Arsenal for his return.
There are also reports that the Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is very keen to bring Bacary Sagna to the Bernabeau next season as he attempts to dislodge Barcelona from the summit of Spanish and European football.
There has been no mention of exactly how much Sagna is worth, but perhaps Wenger could use him as a bargaining tool to get Benzema to Arsenal, although I doubt very much that Wenger would like to lose one of his most consistent players.
But if Wenger is offered £7m for Arshavin then he should bite their hands off before they change their minds!

Clichy can go anywhere but Sagna needs to stay. He’s not the best Right Back in the world but he’s very consistent. He just needs to improve his crossing precision.
We should keep Sagna but get rid of Clichy.

We should not sell none Andre scores important goals 4 us and he is a good provider of the ball yeah he put on a bit of weight but give the guy a chance get rid of the rubbish the constant under achievers and subs at the same level as the 1st team or we still won’t win the league and some old boys in defense

Sagna should be used to get benzema. He is too stiff. He can’t dribble a player and bring good crosses. Eboue is a nice RB. He can dribble and cause foul in decent areas. He can also score goals as well. Sagna and gibbs are big problems in defence

Sagna has over the seasons proven some worth. Yeah! Is he the only Arsenal player that does not learn new skills (necessary skills for their various positions). Sagna, I would prefer should stay and the old man should ‘BUY’. If he must engage in some exchange, then the below par players should be on their way. Of course, who would release his good player for a poor one?

Those two players are good only that wenger plans poorly in his team selection. We have other players who are not fit to play for arsenal & they should go. Arshavin & Signa if sold they are above 12million

We have to keep sagna at all costs. then at least we will have 2 good defenders (sag & TV). Arshavin can go if he wants to. We need to replace Clichy with a better defender. Put TV in his place and get a good Cb to partner kos. I think Kos will be better this season.

Although Sagna lacks of creativity in attacking, Arsenal can’t get anyone better than him in defending the right flank for the moment. Van der wiel is too expensive. It’s Clichy who should leave, not Sagna.

Keep them both. Arshavin has had an average season but still scored vital goals and bagged so many assists!! Sagna is so consistent he is a reliable RB!
I dont think Arsene will not sell either, as he knows the importance of getting rid of dead weight and keeping the valuable squad players.

we can’t afford to lose sagna, but for a club like real madrid to be in need of him then it’s going to very easy for us to get benzema….and get better replacement for all the log of woods who claim to be tired of being trophyless seasons. Haven’t read all the comments / replies to this post but to all of those who agree that Sagna should not be going anywhere, absolutely right.
Although we’ve had some good performances from the majority of the Arsenal team this season, save a few, he’s been one of the most consistent performers.
Clichy I’m not worried about as he’s not been his best in the last two seasons however, I’m a bit worried about all this Nasri talk. Wenger should fight tooth and nail to keep hold of him and Fabregas.
I’m wondering if Arshavin isn’t having a word with Nasri seeing as they’re close and both have Russian wives. As Arshavin knows he’s as good as gone he’s whispering in Nasri’s ear and unsettling him !

If Clichy, Sagna and Arshavin go. Thats a lot of experience gone for ver little money. We will only get 5 million for chlichy 7 – 10 for arshavin and 7 – 10 for Sagna.
That would mean brining in two full backs and a winger which would cost 15 – 20 million each for quality.

hmmmm if only Arshavin still had that spark he did when he arrived. I like him as a player, but he’s just so lazy and lacklustre on the pitch. He looks sad, and almost homesick. For that reason I would let him go, 7mil.. half what we paid for him, what’s he now 29? Probably right fee. He’ll be missed.

I have said it before, and I will say it again; anyone in their right mind would not agree to the sale of Arshavin. How many teams would sell such an effective Attacking Midfielder? Oh how confused Arsenal fans are! Everyone going on about how Jack has been our best player yet we don’t seem to see his productivity where it matters most in terms of goals or assists. Don’t get me wrong, Jack has been immerse for us, but in the end what we desire from any attacking midfielder has to be the goals and assists. Tell me of an equally productive midfielder elsewhere who is on sale. Need I remind you we had Hleb all pass and dribble with no end product! It seems Arsenal fans just love to contradict themselves; on one hand you like all the pretty soccer, yet you turn against it when there is no product. Yet you now turn on a player who can, at his best, give you both, and at his present atleast gives you the product.

Along with Dani Alves Bacary Sagna is the Best RB in the world. If we lose him we might as well bury title hopes for next season.
Arshavin has been in poor form this season and wouldn’t be hard to replace.
