Olympiacos vs. Arsenal team news and Live Stream
Arsene Wenger left a large number of Arsenal first team players behind but still hopes to beat the Greek side and gain top spot in the group.
Marouane Chamakh will start up front, with Gervinho on the left and Alex Oxlase-Chamberlain on the right. Tomas Rosicky takes Cazorla’s central playmaker role, with Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin behind him.
Youngster Jernade Meade starts at left back, with Thomas Vermaelen and Sebastien Squillachi in central defence and Carl Jenkinson at right back.
Hopefullt, the players will want to impress and will take the game to Olympiacos who are only playing for pride. There is plenty of quality in the Arsenal side and it will be interesting to see how they perform. Arsenal also need Montpellier to do us a favour against Schalke, so fingers crossed.

Right firstly i respect the guy for coming back from that horrific injury because that takes character but Ramsey seriously isnt up to scratch. A lot of people point the finger at him and criticise him but from the way he plays i think he deserves it. His passing, marking, tactical awareness are seriously poor. They say that whenever ramsey scores a famous person dies. Well i will tell you one thing, whenever ramsey plays, the team plays bad. Its not just him though, gervinho annoys me, no touch whatsoever and no footballing brain, words cannot describe how much gervinho and ramsey irritate me when they put on the arsenal shirt…

After Arshavin came in, I looked at the bench and realised that we had just 3 substitutes left: a GK and 2 others players I have never seen in my life.
This is a falling slope and we are right in there.

Whatever Arsenal does, this team just lacks the drive to succeed. It’s a testament of Arsène’s lack of imagination & refusal to change with times. Another loss as expected. Imagine the whole of gunner land looking at the team sheet and knowing we were going to lose the game. Rosicky is the only player in that line up that got us ticking. The moment he was removed, the team fell apart. Same old story.

it wasnt such a bad performance to be honest.. it sucks that we lost but still.. the second goal was a ripper.. but ramsey man.. man of the match in my eyes…for olympiakos!! you tackle yourself when you just had to tuck the ball in the corner and then assist the player on the opposite team chesting the ball infront of him in your penalty area.. FFS man.. and gervinho.. what were our scouts thinking when we got him.. need to give him haircut because i think his hair suck the intelligence out of him.. good performance from everyone else.. aoc seemed a bit anonymous in the second half.. his place is on the wing.. isnt soo good in the middle.. chamakh won almost all the high balls, kept back tracking, made some great steals.. for a person playing his second match was great..
what im happy about is that rosicky is back!! rosicky and cazorla midfield will change our game.. its just mouth watering..

I didn’t expect us too win too be honest not with the team we put out, so im not too bothered we didn’t top the group. Lets be honest it doesn’t matter if we’ve come 2nd because were probably the weakest team in the knockout stages maybe along with porto.

Was some good performances from Verm and i thought that Mead played well.
I would have liked too see some more young attacking players where was the likes of Eisfield? i know Gnarby was injured but i would have rather them guys start then players like gervinh and chamack.
