Oxlade-Chamberlain: Arsene Knows Best!
The young Arsenal and England U21 striker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain arrived at the Emirates in the summer after a year of negotiations with his old club Southampton. He immediately stamped his arrival at Arsenal in both of his first two games for the Gunners and Arsenal fans have been clamouring for Wenger to play him in the first team on a regular basis.
But the 18 year-old is quite happy to leave the decisions on his development to Wenger, and will be happy to try and take his chances when picked.
“I signed for Arsenal expecting not to get into the team straight away because this is a massive club with a lot of top-quality players,” Chambo said.
“I’ve signed a contract which is for a number of years so it’s just about being patient for me. It’s my first year and I’m not going to get as much game time but I’m learning loads in training and just taking everything I can to develop my game. You can learn so much from the boys in training, even just by watching them.
“Getting appearances along the way will feed me in slowly – there’s no rush to push me. Obviously I do want to play but I trust the boss and he knows what’s best for me.
“I’ll keep working hard and when I do get my chance I need to take it. I’m positive: I’m at Arsenal, I’m only 18 and I wasn’t expecting to jump straight into the team.”
He is humble enough to realise that he still has a lot to learn before he could be classed as a complete player, and if he carries on improving he is certainly going to be a star for club and country. Wenger is well aware what can happen if he rushes young players before they are ready so let’s all hope he gets it perfectly right with our future star, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. I have a feeling he will……..

Now we all know why he’s worth £15 million. Not just his maturity on the pitch, but off the pitch as well. Great player with great potential.

He’s like are version of Gotze and Hazard. Who are 19 and 20. So on those two. I say we should start playing him every other game from next season.
He scored a European goal already? The youngest brit to do so? He’s very good. All I hope is that he stays at Arsenal for many years.

The Ox could be played in a variety of positions. Atm we know him as a RW, which as we know is Theo’s position. I would love to see the two of them on the pitch at the same time. Their combined speed would devastate the opposition.
Wenger should perhaps try him on the LW? He is way more ambidextrous than Walcott, so perhaps it could work. Just an idea. Or perhaps Walcott should be given his wish and allow him to play striker, with Ox on the RW and Ryo LW. The possibilities are endless. A 4 2 4 with RvP and Walcott as CF’s could be formidable combination.
Either way, Ox has a bright future, his attitude is one of a world class player. C.Ronaldo should be taking tips.

a smart quality human being (let alone a great player)…these are the only types of people who stick by the AKB mentality…those who don’t are well, the opposite.
