Podolski keen on Arsenal move?
Reports have emerged this morning claiming that the German international striker Lukas Podolski is keen on quitting Bundesliga side FC Cologne to join Arsenal.
The reports coming out of Germany further claim that the former Bayern Munich hitman has fallen out with Cologne’s director of Sport, Volker Finke, according to the Mirror.
The club’s managing director Claus Horstman has all but confirmed the rift, saying: “The two (Podolski and Finke) don’t have to love each other, but they must respect each other and trust each other.”
The reports suggest that the 26-year-old is keen on the move to North London and is just waiting for a deal to be struck between the two clubs.
With the loan signing of Thierry Henry all but sealed, it is highly unlikely that Wenger will make a move for the German in January, however, a summer move seems to be on the cards.

My advice to Wenger is simple. Now that he doesnt want to sign full back. It is very imperative he gets an altenate striker that will support RVP.Dispose players like Charmack, Arshavin to get a perfect striker. Give AOC more playing time, do not allow Rosisky to go. Get Poldoski bcos he is willing to join us

Get Podolski as well in January! We can’t just have one spare striker (even if it is King Henry), because then we’d be in an even worse situation if, by some disaster, he also gets injured, we have a problem worse than our no full-back problem… No f***ing strikers!!! Than we can say goodbye to all trophy ambitions for this season.

I really hope this rumor is true….feel he will be hugely effective. We need someone that can finish, as noticed recently with narrow wins where we could have scored 4-5 goals. We have done very well so far and the entire team has been excellent however we have to be honest that there were some scary wins where the result could have went the other way. Need another nasri type player….and now a left back…not sure about m’villa and why we are always linked with him….is he really that good…I mean we have Song who is brilliant.

Getting podosky would have been a very good signing for the gunners provided that some players are displaced by selling them because sitting him on the bench wont be a nice ideal. Gunners keep shooting in this new year.

If only this story was true!!! As much as I would like to see new player(s) there is no chance because:
1) wenger is too delusional, tight and stubborn.
2) to sign another Permanent striker would be acknowledging the fact that Chamcrap and Park are not good enough and that he therefore was wrong to get them in the first place. And as we should know by now Wenger is never wrong and Chamcrap is the next Van Basten.
3) wenger does not normally spend big in january. Look how protracted the Arshavin deal was because AFC not want to spend money.
4) wenger will look our 4thposition as proof that everything is fine and that RVP will play every game and score every goal and never get injured.
5) wenger has already said he not buying NO players on permanent deals. (unless they is crap).
6) Wenger is too tight, delusional and stubborn.

He could be a shrewd purchase assuming he adapts to English football and to Arsenal.
It is obvious arsenal need another goal threat. Arshavin, Gervinho and Walcott all showed their short comings in the QPR game. Arteta and Ramsey are hardly prolific. Poldoski or not a goal threat needs to be added to this side.

We don’t need to buy another striker, hav u guys seen Benik Afobe’s stats, this young man played for Gunners under 16 at the age of 13, he then broke all scoring records,scoring 120 goals for the under 16′s whiIe he was under 16..
He is the real deal striker we need, Barca even invited Benik and Chuks to train with them that’s hw good they are…
Wenger should promote them to the 1st team we don’t need to buy another striker..

Podolski and huntelaar aren’t really great. Podolski seems to only be able to play in germany and huntelaar has never really impressed anywhere. Daren Bent is a Arsenal supporter, scores lots of goals, maybe just against smaller clubs but thats all we need. RVP can score against the bigger clubs.
