Predict the England Score and win a Just Arsenal News T-Shirt
England face Montenegro on Tuesday night aiming to extend their 100% record in the European Qualifiers so far. This should be the hardest test to date as their opponents have also won the first three games, all by a 1-0 scoreline. England will have to be in top form to break down a difficult defence if they are to leapfrog Montenegro at the top of the group.
The Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been promoted after playing for the U21′s last night, and he is the only Gunner present in the squad. There are some new faces though as the veteran Kevin Davies has been given his first call up at 33. I’m not sure how that sits with Fabio Capello’s statement that he was going to shake up the team and bring in some young players!
Wayne Rooney is likely to play despite his on-field and off-field problems, and Darren Bent and Peter Crouch are also in contention for the centre-forward spot.
Both Phil Jagielka and Aaron Lennon have returned to their clubs through injury, and Stewart Downing has been added to the squad.
