Ramsey happy for Arsenal to be under the radar
Aaron Ramsey seems to have an old head on his young shoulders sometimes. The 21-year old captain of Wales has had plenty of ups and downs already in his career, but is determined not to let things affect him too much, concentrating instead on doing his job, playing football.
Ramsey has spoken about the fact that Arsenal were pretty much written off as potential title winners before the season even started and, once Robin van Persie was sold to Manchester United, we were being talked about as a mid table side.
“That is a good thing. We are just going about our business.
“We are going about it quietly and hopefully we can continue this good run and see where it takes us.”
Ramsey knows all about the fickle finger of fate, and that you cannot take anything for granted. He was all set to be the next big thing when Ryan Shawcross nearly ended his career. It took an age for him to recover and only through the miracle of modern medicine. His stock with Arsenal fans was at an all time low last season, but he just keeps working and is starting to show his talent again.
“You just learn how to deal with it as a footballer.
“We have definitely learned from last season. We got off to a bad start and finished really strongly. But this time we have started off well so hopefully we can keep that going.”
If Arsenal do continue in their current vein of form, a level head like Ramsey’s will be invaluable in the dressing room.

Good luck Rambo, he is the one player I really hope will become the star that I thought he would become. He is dealing with the unfair negative vibes really well and hasn’t spat his dummy out the pram. There will be a lot of people with egg on their faces come the end of the season.

I’d like to see all arsenal fans get behind this kid . He has the talent and the right attitude . His leg injury was a nasty 1 and then he lost 1 of his friends and role models . Since then he’s never really found form and gets abuse for every wee thing he does wrong . Not a great way to get the best out of a young player . Opinions vary – but I think Rambo will have the last laugh – just like rosicky did last year .

@ S.H
Well u share the same philosophy as I do.
The most funny thing is when walcott demands 100k….
It means he is better than Poldi who plays wide in his place..
We Arsenal fans dislike the truth and that will never change..
Watch RVP on bench, cant open his mouth because there people who have big mouths..lol

@S.H and @happy gooner
You two are idiots
, like you said this guy had a major injury and the death of a friend
Which has all happened recently, last season was his first season back
And he’s only 21, can you not give him some time to reform,
Think about what your saying!
Although I do see he hasn’t preformed that well over the last season but as I said still young
Van persie got good at 28 now if Ramsy does what vp did and gets as good fine by me( apart from leave) but logically this guy has potential.

@S.H., yes, ramsey may have made a costly mistake, but we’ve had players who made worse mistakes. koscielny’s mistake cost us a trophy, but he improved since then. lets not forget that it was his moment of brilliance which helped gervinho to score his second against the saints. i don’t think its fair to compare him with walcott coz walcott has been with us since he was 16. ramsey joined us much later.

@SH and Happy gunner u r absolute idiots i have been watching ramsey closely especially for u SH and i have to say his performances as a sub right now are very gud.how can mentally retarded hypocrites such as urself call urselves arsenal fans??i guess if cazorla did the same trick that led to gervinho’s goal against southampton,u would say maestro…and ramsey’s performances against liverpool, stoke and sunderland were good enuff as a sub..stop being a moron for atleast once in ur life.and exactly which one are u talking about that he lost the ball..yes he lost the ball in the attacking third once in the game not even in the midfield and tell me how many balls cazorla gave away in the attacking third in that game..watch with the eyes of a supporter not the eyes of a hypocrite..

There is a very big difference to being out to a routine injury and having had a horrific attack caused by another player. Mentally the latter is much more difficult to recover from. Ramsay last year had to play in a very difficult situation with no full backs for much of the mid season and was obviously asked too much although he has always been honest and tried his best. He is getting better – to chose his one poor pass against Montpellier is harsh (ridiculous when compared with Daiby’s loss of the ball in our own penalty area) and single you out as having a very negative and opportunistic view of Ramsay’s overall contribution. I really do hope you give Wilshire a little more time to settle in as his playing history in the first team is one of playing in a very talented midfield with Fabregas and Nasri – how would he have coped last year in Ramsay’s position? Show more patience – if Wenger keeps picking these guys he probably know something that you don’t and his record is a little better than yours at getting it right!
